We have been using Otto Heating and Cooling since we moved in to Sherwood Park 4 years ago. They also installed our AC unit last summer and it has worked very well. Always appreciate their efficient and prompt service.

I highly recommend Otto. I needed a new water tank, the installation of a heat pump, and a heating / plumbing repairs. I had difficulty finding a company that would do all of the work. All but Otto refusing or requiring the installation of new equipment rather than repair. Some companies quoted manufacturers that were poorly reviewed in Consumer Reports (Lennox is well reviewed). One company only quoted only part of the work but wanted to charge 40% more. The staff from Otto arrived on time, completed the work in a timely fashion, and left me very pleased with my choice. The price was competitive.

We have used Otto since our house was built in 2006. Regular checkups, ac install, emergency calls. The service and response has always been exceptional, the costs fully competitive, and the service techs and office staff friendly and professional. We are just selling our house now but will definitely let the new owners know this is the company for them to use.

Initial visit by Geoff was right on time, informative, friendly, and relaxed.
Quote for the project came by email as was stated the same day, and was pretty much as what was discussed at initial meeting. Very fair and acceptable cost.
On approval of the quote, a day and time was set up for the project installation.
Project installers were punctual, friendly and showed much respect for us as both seniors and customers.answering all questions and giving us a work timeline. Electrician arrived when required and explained his part in the project. All work was efficiently completed within the timeline.

I called on Otto Heating a few days ago (on a Friday) to deal with our malfunctioning thermostat and/or furnace. A technician, Matt, arrived soon after to deal with the problem so we wouldn't have to experience intermittent lack of heat for the weekend. A new thermostat was needed and Matt described options for type of thermostat, including the pros and cons of each. That made it easier for me to make a decision. When the installation was complete, Matt gave a comprehensive tutorial on using the technology of the thermostat. He was patient and thorough.

I was not surprised to find Matt so helpful because I had occasion to call on Otto Heating in the past while I was housesitting for friends. It was Matt who answered my call then too and solved the problem, that time with a humidifier. I was very impressed and happy with his calming support and solutions.

My furnace has died during Christmas time 2022. I have hired another company that informed me I needed a new motor. That other company ordered the new motor and promised he will install it next day. On next date that company said the motor needed to delivery from Calgary. The temperature dropped to -33c. My house's water pipes have burst. We have called other companies to see whether they can help but all other company either said too busy or cannot help except when we called Otto Heating. Otto Heating immediately checked with Lennex in Edmonton to see whether it has the stock of motor and picked up it up and installed it within 2 hours and charged us a very reasonable price. It is really live saving.

We called Otto as 1 of our commercial roof top units was not providing heat to the space after 1 of their competitors came and did maintenance and returned twice unable to fix the issue. All the staff from Elissa at reception, to Matt the service manager were so helpful and professional. Jayvin was on time and thorough, he was also great about explaining what was the problem and what was required. We will happily be using Otto again in the future for our heating/cooling needs and would recommend them to anyone needing a great HVAC company!

What a great company! Right from Allisa answering the phone and organizing the technicians to Javon who came to do the work at our business! On a super cold day, of course our furnace shut down, Allisa gave me a window of opportunity when the work could be done and Javon (the very experienced technician) called us ahead. He got right down to the work in a sketchy high area, not even phased at the conditions. He diagnosed two problems with our furnace, made some calls then got the parts, he had us with heat again within a couple hours total! Great job Otto Heating! I won’t call anywhere else.

Jayvin was on time and informative. Gave an option for a thermostat that could solve a problem with a cool spot in our home. Checked out the furnace and hot water tank and gave us great feedback. Would definitely recommend.

I had an air conditioner installed by Otto Heating and Cooling only a few days ago and wouldn't hesitate to refer my friends to them. The installers were polite and had it installed in no time at all. My house is so comfortable now I don't mind staying home.

AC stopped working on a very hot day this summer. Had a tech out quick. Diagnosed the problem, found the warranty to minimize cost, and got another part from a company in 24 hours. Installed and working the next day. Highly recommend. Very professional staff.

Fantastic customer service! After a panicked message from me, they called to walk me through troubleshooting a broken furnace during a -25 cold snap.

Then they helped me order the part for an older furnace on a Friday evening, sent their technician, and were thoroughly wonderful to work with! Highly recommend!

Over the past three days, Atco has come and got my furnace running, but once the furnace reached the temperature setting on the thermostat, it shut down and would not restart. This week has been the coldest one we've had so far this winter, so waking up every morning to a cold house with no heat generating has been an unpleasant experience. While I did get prompt service from Atco, they recommended that we have a furnace service company come and take a look at it.

I called Otto this morning, hopeful that someone might be able to come out and look at my furnace, knowing that most of the furnace repair companies are really busy right now.

To start with Otto Heating and Cooling was very accommodating and fit me in after lunch. Jordan came out to the house and checked out the issue. Fortunately, I didn't need furnace replacement parts, but the air intake pipe was blocked with snow and the pipe was too long to clear out all the snow effectively. Jordan fixed the issue, shortened the pipe so I can make sure that I can clean it going forward and showed me where the error codes were on the furnace so that if I have problems in the future, I know what to tell the Heating & Cooling company. He also ensured that the furnace would restart after reaching the desired temperature and shutting down.

Jordan was professional, personable and provided great service. I won't hesitate to use Otto Heating & Cooling in the future. Based on my experience today, I think Otto has some pretty great people working there.

There's no denying that when your AC unit gets sick
and you look up the phone number of your repair guy,
you're probably a bit worried.
But, it's our experience with Otto
and their technician Matt in particular,
that you can trust them.
Seems like the most important thing to me.

I was impressed with Geff's first hand knowledge on AC units and his recommendations. Jessie and Erik did a great job with the installation and responded well when I had concerns. Overall, the outcome is great. The comfort level setting on my Ecobee thermostat is great, I don't have to worry about my home getting too cold or too hot. Thank you Otto heating and cooling ltd.

You can not get a better company to service an air conditioner or furnace repair in all of Edmonton! Jesse, I think his name was, was the technician that serviced our central A/C Carrier unit. He was professional, polite and very knowledgeable. He serviced our A/C unit in short order by cleaning the coils, etc. He also programmed and educated us on our thermostat (S-30). Jesse also corrected and adjusted the furnace fan. The furnace fan had only been running on only 4 speeds, instead of the 56 different speeds that it was designed for. Bravo!

I would highly recommend Otto Heating & Cooling. The service is outstanding! The crew (Jesse & Kyle) were knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. This is the type of companies you would like to have at your home taking care of your Heating and Cooling systems!

When our furnace quit on a weekend with the temperature at -28 C, Matt first provided me with some quick things I could check myself. Once it was clear a repair was required he asked me to text him a picture of the furnace nameplate so that he would be sure to bring the right part and complete the repair quickly. He arrived on time and had the furnace running in 10 minutes. The bill was very reasonable for a weekend emergency call out.

Purchased a house where the furnace wasn't working. Our contractor called OTTO and they quickly sourced the parts and had the furnace up and running the same day. Highly recommended.

Second time dealing with Otto (garage heater then new furnace). Kris was awesome to deal with and Kerry was really good at getting our new furnace installed.

Very fast and efficient. Kerry knew right away what the problem was and how to fix it. He then set up thermostat and waited until everything was working well before he left. Kerry was very professional, courteous and took the time to explain what the problem was and how he fixed it. I would highly recommend him and Otto heating. I never felt belittled or put down in any way. Very happy my furnace is running again!

Jared was a great guy to deal with. No pressure and great personality. The two fellows came and basically changed the furnace in our condo in 4 hours.
They did a great job and added a pump for the condecsate. All is nicely done. Quick easy and complete.

After years of wanting air conditioning, we decided it was the right time when we bought our new house. We received several quotes and chose Otto.

There were two important reasons for this. Otto is the contractor who supplied and installed our furnace and HRV and they know our system. Secondly, Jared provided a detailed quote, patiently and responsively answered all my questions (and I had many!) and was very personable and great to work with.

On installation day, Jake and Brodie were punctual, introduced themselves politely, and quickly got to work. Their work was neat and tidy. I am particularly pleased with how neat everything looks on the furnace itself. Any subsequent questions after the installation were quickly addressed and attended to.

Great to deal with on the phone and in person. They took the time to help me understand how things worked when I asked. The technician I have dealt with is knowledgeable, easy to understand, honest, and capable.

Having a problem with the humidifier in the house we've just moved in to (new house for us, but rather old furnace and humidifier). The first service call by Otto didn't solve our problem, but the second one did. Thanks for figuring it out.

Moving into a brand new townhouse with several windows and lots of afternoon sun made air conditioning a no brainer! Having not had air continuing in our previous home however, we weren't sure where to start. Jarad and Kris were very helpful in providing advice and recommendations for a Lennox unit that would do the job for us. When we decided to go ahead with the installation, we only had to wait approximately one week. Our installers, Kerry and Kyle, arrived in the morning, just before the time that was promised, and completed the job by early afternoon. Prior to leaving, Kerry demonstrated how the unit worked and how to properly set the desired temperatures. He also made sure that all excess materials were cleaned up and very patiently and professionally answered all our questions! Finally, I would have no hesitation in recommending Otto Heating and Cooling Ltd!

We had a no heat situation. The receptionist at Otto Heating and Cooling was very polite and helpful, and manged to arrange a service call on very short notice. The technician arrived as expected, and treated the home with respect. He got right to work and diagnosed and repaired the problem. He was not in a hurry to leave but stayed for adequate time to ensure that the heating system was working reliably.

From setting our appointment with the receptionist to the arrival of their tech they were very pleasant, courteous and helpful. The tech (Matt, Service Mngr) was patient, knowledgeable and very proficient at installing our new thermostat. We were impressed with his work habits (precise, cleaned up, etc.). Would recommend this company for any heating or cooling needs.

I have dealt with this company several times for different properties. They have provided excellent service on every call. They are quick to respond, informative, and honest in what needs to be done. I trust them 100% and would highly recommend them!

I have used Otto Heating and Cooling exclusively for all my Heating related needs ever since i took possession of my house over 3.5 years ago.

Unfortunately that patronage ended today after a terrible customer relations experience with their General Manager/Owner.

As a result, i would caution anyone looking at using this firm, if they are looking for a company that values and respects them as a customer.
