They installed a door for me 5 years ago. That transaction warranted 5 stars. Recently had them install 2 more, took me 2 weeks to get ahold of the service department, called 5 times leaving messages and all. Doors were installed last week 1 is already clanging and banging! Now motors bunged up. Also can see day light around both, call in and the can’t find me in there system… sighs. The 2023 curse strikes again.

We had some repairing to with our garage and they gave us very good guidance to be able to fix our garage door. All my questions were very well answered. The price and service were excellent.

I experienced excellent customer service both on the phone and from the technician. He arrived on schedule and had the parts needed to immediately replace the springs on our garage door. He also inspected the door and noticed the track was pulling out of the ceiling on one side, so he replaced that as well for no additional cost.

Garbage Quality Door and an unaccountable company! Unfortunately Overhead Doors Co.of Edmonton installed the garage door of our new home thanks to Sterling Homes who is our builder. When we took possession of this home, this door has been nothing but problems for us beginning with the excessively loud noise it makes when opening and closing the door, the gap showing between the top row panels when the door is closed and signs of the paint peeling with the company only performing a small touch up on the surface of the door. When it comes to the loud noise, the company performed a warranty service which they stated would help with some lubrication and minor adjustments. Only after a couple of months of performing that service, that noise was back and the door honestly sounds like its one on its last legs! During the one year period, we brought the paint peeling around the weather stripping to the builders attention through 3 different site superintendents. Unfortunately, the builder doesn't seem to want anything to do with the door either as Paul (our latest site superintendent) stated that Overhead Door says its a part of wear and tear even though the paint peeling was brought to their attention a couple months after we took possession while warranty for Overhead says that she needs to see something from the builder before considering any kind of work on it. Obviously none of these guys want anything to do with the paint peeling around the weather stripping which is only getting worse and worse due to the tight weather stripping installed by Overhead Doors. I'm going to stop now and leave you with some pictures to do the rest of the talking.

I phoned and booked an appointment two weeks ago for October 25,2022, between Noon and 4PM, because I was advised that was the first one available. I phoned early in the afternoon of October 25 to confirm the appointment and was assured by Arra (?) that a repair person would be at my home before 4 PM. When I phoned back shortly after 4 PM, the same person I had spoken to earlier told me that there was no appointment booked for my property and that no one would be coming to my residence. She then asked me if I would like to have someone come to my home between Noon and 4 PM the next day, even though she knew that I had been waiting for four hours for one of their staff to arrive. When I asked to speak to the manager I was advised that she had left for the day at 4 PM. What is there to say - shoddy, incompetent, non-responsive interactions, with no suggestion of an apology for any inconvenience, and no concern whatsoever for their complete lack of efficiency and non-existent customer service. I will never contact Overhead Door Company of Edmonton for any future service that may be required. I phoned another company and was advised that a staff member would be contacting me to arrange a time to do the necessary repairs as soon as possible. I would expect a company that has been in business for 55 years to do a better job than was done with me.

Horrible experience, our garage door hasn’t worked for over a month since they came to install new openers. They chipped our brand new floor coating by not caring and dropping metal pieces on floor!
Still not fixed and water coming into our garage from the massive gap under since they don’t know what they are doing!
Poor poor customer service. AVOID

Very good service. There was a problem with our unit they installed. The tech I guess his name was Joe did a brilliant job and go through with me on how to keep doors in good working shape. Loved the after market service

Horrible place to work for! Understaffed, incompetent management who don't realize if you have the proper number of employees you'll have less issue's. Also they'll lie to make themselves look good.

I had my old and busted oversized door serviced by Dave Beres, he was extremely experienced in this field of work and quickly remedied the issues I was having while also expertly explaining what needed to be done during the service. I already figured that I would be in need of a new opener as well and after a quick inspection of the internals by Dave, we discovered a main part was completely split apart and we both agreed it wasn't worth the hassle to try mending it. Made another appointment for within that week for a new opener with wifi. They also reinforced part of the door during the install free of charge (equaling to 1h of labour) and haven't been happier.

Such a bad service to supply and install overhead door! Schedule is horrible. Took twice the time than promised. Never maintained the schedule. Salesman does not have any clue if the installer will install on their scheduled date. Worst service ever! No commitment. Literally no customer service.

Just had Scott come by to perform a quick bit of work on our door and I was super impressed with the customer service, friendliness, and efficiency of his work!

Great experience: I got a quick and fairly priced quote for an insulated double garage door, and because they had a door in stock, were able to do the fit within a week! The installers were professional and quick, and I'm very happy with both the service and the door.

The gold standard in service. Had a spring crack around 6pm on a Friday. Customer Service was prompt and clear, and we got a call from the service tech just a few moments later. Advised on an expected time (which was met), showed the problem and solution along with estimated cost, and worked quickly to repair. Clayton was professional and kind, and was done and gone by 8 with a new spring installed and the door working smoothly again. Have tried others in the past, but should have gone with the pros all along. Would highly recommend.

We had Scott come by to service our garage door which we were hoping we wouldn't have to replace altogether. He quickly diagnosed what to do and then got the job done! He was super pleasant and lovely to have. Thanks so much for having such great employees:)

Pedro stopped by to install two doors for us.
He was excellent. Really knows his stuff and is a great guy.
It was a little more expensive than I thought, and took a little longer, but they colour matched my doors to my newly painted walls, replaced my wooden doors with insulated ones and gave me a keypad, more remotes than I need and made it open quieter than I ever knew it could. Worth every penny. If I ever need to do this again, I will definitely call them again

Scott was fantastic! Arrived at the appointed time, came prepaired, work was quick and payment was easy. Highly recommended.

I called Overhead Door because it was recommended that I do some regular maintenance and tighten the spring on my door. Overhead door sent out Scott S.to my rescue! His Customer Service was phenomenal! He was very friendly, efficient, knowledgeable and professional! He even gave me a 15 minute call ahead so I had a heads up he was on his way. If all of their service people are similar to Scott, I highly recommend Overhead Door!

We put down a deposit for new garage doors, which where to be installed a month ago. They were not, with the reason being a putative supply issue. No follow through/contact by the company in the last month, and they are not seeming to answer their phone. I can understand supply chain issues, but that does not explain a lack of information being provided to customers.

Scott did an amazing job on my door service! He inspected the whole system, proactively replaced the cables, and seal. He lubricated the rollers and aligned the door. It is now whisper quiet even though the door is from a lesser quality door company (previous owner’s choice).

After years of working on cars, I can honestly say Scott had an instinctive ability to troubleshoot; he VERY quickly noticed that a poorly fastened bolt on one track that was catching after the alignment (I sincerely doubt others would have diagnosed this so quickly). Additionally, Scott carried himself with class and offered balanced/objective opinions. He was a delight to interact with and is great representative of a fantastic brand!

The culture of the company is such that everyone exudes integrity.

Dave from the service department just did a repair at my residence caused by a power surge and the service was top shelf in every way, from COVID protection to time spend, cleanup, programming, answering my questions, maintenance advice and just generally meeting a high standard of service combined with beating the quote given to me by his office.

I needed service quickly and Overhead Door was amazing. Scheduled a couple of days later, they had an opening and got me in the same day. The tech they sent was thorough, friendly and on time. Great work!

Bought the new Overhead door Legacy 850 at April 1st, 2020, (paid for over $500) however, it broken right way after June, 2021. The problem is every time when you press wall control or remote control, the overhead machine only has a click noise, and door will not open or close. Called in customer service and have to wait after Canada day to get call back which is understand for me, BUT the service lady tole me that the machine is over 1 year warranty, and I will have to pay 100+ for labor and over 100 for parts in order to fix the problem. Just cant believe with such big company, you CANT have trust on them, and they dont even have the patience to provide you a solution. There is only money talks. As a result, I suggest others to consider and ask carefully if you are going to buy this product.

Update, talked to warranty manager after this post. Basically, there is nothing you can do if your machine is out of warranty, and there is no power outage on the door when it goes wrong. I checked all the currently reviews and to see if someone has same issue but no luck. However, all the reviews are under 1 year, so I guess if there is something wrong with your machine better before the warranty over. Hopefully, they could improve this to help the others.
