Great service…came by within 2 hours of calling in and did a great job of fixing my stuck mid way garage door and frame plus doing some maintenance on the door. It works better than before I ran into the door frame! Thanks

Overhead Doors is a distributor of Pella windows. I called them to provide service to one of my windows (the locking mechanism was broken). Garth, the technician showed up and took out the locking mechanism. I was present throughout the visit, occasionally helping him with the work. In total, he was there 1.5 h. I was warned that parts might take a month or more to arrive. Sure enough, 3 months later, Garth returned and replaced the defective part. The installation was properly done, I don't have issues there. Unfortunately, the invoice I received was surprising: I was charged 3.5 h for the first visit of 1.5 h. Garth's second visit to install the part was billed at 1.5 h. I understand that charges start when the technician leaves the shop until he arrives back to the shop, but for service to the south side of Lethbridge when the shop is on the north side, I find it unreasonable to charge an extra 2 hours on top of the service time. Travel time is 15 min tops. I called and spoke with the manager, but all she had to say was that according to the books, the technician serviced the job in 3.5 h. She was not willing to explain the big difference in service time between the visits given that the work performed was the same. Apart from offering me an in-store credit for 1 h service time (which I will most likely never use) she was not willing to do anything else. Honestly, I did not expect such an unprofessional treatment from a local company. 2 stars because the quality for the work was suitable, but when it comes to billing, I feel let down.

Update: After posting the review above, I received a call back from the manager. They have re-evaluated the technician's records and offered to credit the 2 extra hours of service on the first visit which did not add up. I am glad they set the records straight. I am changing my review to 5 stars.

Had a friend call this place to get the weather stripping between the panels replaced on her door. They charged her just to come look. They told her nothing can be done and she needs to spend $2000 on a new door. (She called the wrong door company). Fast forward. She calls lethbridge door systems. They were there within the hour and REPLACED the weather stripping and didn't charge her for the rubber. Only the hour service call which was $100. This place is nothing but scam artists. Do not recommend this company. It's a joke.

It would be too lengthy to list all of the negative issues I have with our new door opener, springs & cables that we had installed within the past year or so. Even set at the max setting, the opener now lifts the door about every 8 out of 10 times, before I have to try it a second time. I have the Legacy 850 model opener, which I was told should be powerful enough for our 7' X 16' standard double garage door. Either the new springs (May 2021) or the opener (Oct. 2022) itself is not powerful enough. The new springs themselves have been torqued several times and when disconnected the door freely moves up & down with one hand so I feel the opener is under powered. I will continue to operate it as is until the motor burns out (which I feel won't be too long).

When we had the springs replaced (Pre-Covid times) I was very satisfied with the service at that time. I'm not sure what if any role Covid may have played with respect to experienced technicians & service, however it was not at all the same experience since the new opener was installed.

I had been considering having the Overhead Door company to replace our existing Pella windows (which they supply) but will look elsewhere.

My husband, Cory, went to Overhead Door on October 26th. He met with Brandon Raiche who was friendly, knowledgeable and made him feel welcome. Cory says he would go there again without hesitation.
