Allan! Thanks bro for directing me to the Salomon Assassin Pro. Absolute beauty board. Bought it yesterday and already shredding heavy AF. You’re a genius bro. Thanks pacesetter.
Update: Returned to Pacesetter boxing week 2022 as my 14 year old son was looking to buy skis. He had worked hard shovelling driveways and saved up enough but didn't know much about skis or bindings or boots etc. The staff there was so helpful and so knowledgeable (Thanks Mitchell and Avery). My son ended up buying all his gear there and was so happy with it when we tested it out in Banff this past weekend. I also rented skis from there once again and it was such a good customer service experience.
Rented skis here for our trip to Banff and the staff were awesome! Super helpful, quick service. My kids and I were in and sized up and out pretty quickly and we were able to reserve for Spring Break a week ahead. We were supposed to pick up in the morning on our way to Banff (leaving on a Monday, skiing Tuesday & Wednesday, returning skis Thursday) but when the weather forecast looked bad Sunday, I called to see if we could pick them up Sunday afternoon so we could leave earlier in the day Monday, they said no problem. Very accommodating. Would highly recommend getting your ski gear hear before heading to the mountains!
Super great experience at Pacesetter a few weeks ago! My boyfriend and I went in to buy boots and helmets. Justin and Allen we’re VERY helpful and were obviously so knowledgeable about the equipment and skiing in general! The rental skis were great quality and super cheap too! All around great experience.
Took 2 of our boards to get hot waxed before the mountains. They charged us for tune ups on pickup but that problem was easily fixed. Got to the mountain that week and realized one of our boards wasnt even waxed! Left them there for about a week before, charged for tuneup initially and one of the boards didnt even get touched. Fortunately they were happy to "rewax" it once we got back without much hastle. Tested the board now and it feels much much better. It was very bad to go all the way to the mountains without the fresh wax, was not happy.
Great ski shop. Staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Went out if their way to assist me with my questions about some adjustments on my snowboard etc. Helpful but no pressure on trying to sell you something.
We love this store and trust the staff about anything to do with skiing, more than any other ski shop. One of their weekend employees, Devin H, is outstanding! He’s super knowledgeable and so honest. He does his absolute best to give you the most accurate information and does this without hard sales tactics. He’s super bright and knows all things about skiing and ski equipment and is happy to share with their customers.
These guys just earned all my business. Needed a simple binding adjustment as my boot size changed. Went to MS&G in spruce first. They wouldn't even look at them because it was a drill mount. Went to Pacesetter and it turned out to be a 1 min job they squeezed in right then and there. Thanks for the great customer service!
I can't say enough about the amazing customer service both my wife and I have received over few visits to Pacesetter. Allen was super helpful and knowledgeable about my snowboard needs and they had the exact board I was looking for in a range of sizes. No high pressure sales tactics, just solid dudes. Also, they seem to be the only shop in town that has any kind of cross-country inventory. Will 10/10 be giving them my future business.
Honestly everyone is super nice who works there, but I've had some weird experiences with Pacesetter. Been told that poles are impossible to cut down and just figured it out myself with no previous experience just fine. Been fitted with boots and once I learned more realized they were definetly not what I should have bought. I have done moderate research online before going in to look at products and ask the staff to learn more to realize I somehow knew more about the products then they did. I want to say again the staff are very friendly and approachable, but I feel the ownership should take better charge on training their staff. Also they probably could do a better job on ordering apparel that isn't so bland and all xl sizes.
Jim and his team are the best in the business. Incredibly knowledgeable, great prices, and helpful from the moment you walk in to when you pick up your new equipment. Will be back as a regular customer!

Good shop. Smaller, with a good selection of Capita and Salomon snowboards. If you can't find a board from those brands anywhere else, Pacesetter probably has it. Staff are friendly. Knowledge of product varies as far as snowboards are concerned. I've shipped here on and off over the past 5 years, buying snowboards and bindings for myself and my children as well as ski boots for myself.
The staff knows their stuff, they have excellent product knowledge, and great customer support. I used to be a loyal SD customer, but the staff their seems to know very little about the products they sell. PACESETTER's staff is friend, supportive, very knowledgeable and they're very interested in doing business with you and keeping you happy as one of their customers. This ski shop comes highly recommended and has everything you need.
Awesome knowledge and service! Grabbed myself a touring set up and my wife some new skis from Pacesetter? My bindings were mounted and ready to go in a day! (back on Dec 23)
The best customer service from any ski/snowboard shop I’ve been to in Edmonton! Jim and his team are super helpful and knowledgeable and there is a wide selection in the store to chose from! Amazing customer service with many employees that are friendly and eager to help out.
The service was outstanding at Pacesetter. All the staff went above and beyond to make sure my son got skis that were perfect for him and did and outstanding job tuning up my old skis.
Fantastic staff that know their product. Great prices when u compare them to MEC or other specialty store. Always check them out at the end of the season clear out prices r amazing.
Excellent service, the staff were extremely eductated, patient and provided a great shopping experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for ski gear.
I came here for rentals, the guy helping me was very knowledgeable and explained everything he was doing and why (It had been a few years since I skied). Very friendly staff very helpful.
Highlights: Knowledgable staff who are passionate about skiing and snow boarding Good selection Good layout easy to navigate storefront Sales!
Mark spent an hour and a half with me making sure I got the right equipment to get back into skiing. He is very friendly, passionate about skiing, and really knows his stuff when it comes to the various styles of skiing and equipment. My customer service experience was incredible I walked out with boot, helmets, and goggles all at an amazing price. Pacesetter also has rentals, demos, and demo sales so you can try out various skis and figure out what is right for you before you invest in what you think you may want.
Great store, typical the staff here are awesome. I have been going to this store for 15+ years. Lately seems to be more focused on ski gear than snowboard.
The customer service is always amazing. Our favorite shop for snow jackets and ski equipment! Better selection, service and pricing than what you find in the mountain park stores!
Went here as a last effort to find new skis and boots when really I should of gone here first and saved myself a bunch of time. Amazing service with very knowledgeable staff. Curtis was a huge help in finding there perfect skis and bots for me and they were on sale. He answered all my questions as-well as teaching me more about the product. They don't have a website with all the product they sell but don't let that discourage you from stopping by. Also they respond to all their emails. Very happy I got my skis and boots here and will be going back and sending all my friends who are looking for ski/snowboard gear! Thank you!
Wonderful customer service! Honest salespeople who care more about customer's needs than making the sale. He even suggested making custom ski boots to ensure a comfortable fit. I'll definitely be back!
Not my cup of tea. Staff was ignoring so many customers people were walking out angry and annoyed. Watched staff member butt into a private conversation a man was having with his girlfriend, then started yelling and screeching at him calling him a "breeder" and told him, "Check your privilege at the door, this is a Ski Shop. "
Well here's my privilege, I don't have to shop there or have my day ruined having to be witness to such ridiculous nonsense. I stood in the never ending line up just wanting a wax and maybe a base tune. Decided it's not worth having children with attitudes of such caliber touch my equipment. If they can't do their retail job properly I can't imagine what a base tune here would be like. No offence to the good staff that are there, and I know there are some. But all it takes is one bad link in the chain and I'll go somewhere else.
Great shop, great service. Replaced a strap on my son's snowboard immediately, and staff were all friendly without being pushy or trying to force us to buy anything.
Been to Pacesetter many times over the years but my last visit was really great. Lost everything last summer in an apartment fire (some smoker's cigarette butt in a planter box) and finally got a bit of insurance money to replace my gear.
Luke's product knowledge was really impressive and I couldn't be happier with how it all turned out. Really appreciate how he took the time to actually make me slow down and try different equipment options. Ended up driving away with some nice Salomon QST106's and all the fixin's. Will definitely continue recommending Pacesetter, and especially Luke!
Excellent store with very knowledgeable staff. If you are looking for top tier equipment, they know just what to recommend for your style of skiing. Bought skis for my self and son, they gave us a great deal too!
