This was my first time trying Pacific Poke. Loved the vibe and feel when I walked in and was impressed that I was greeted with a smile and hello from the young man behind the counter. The real deal when it comes to an amazing and healthy meal. Loved it!
Lady making food was wearing mask like diaper and kept pulling mask down and up and not washing hands, then touching customer bowls etc.food wasn’t very good.
Went for their grand reopening. They had all bowls on for 10$ which was a nice treat. Even at full price ($17) I think it would be worth it. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and it was a 10/10 experience. Service was friendly and fast and the food was amazing. I got the Cali bowl, they were out of avocado but substituted the kimchi cucumber and it was great! Not sure if the crab was real or imitation but it tasted so fresh! Will definitely be back:)
Well, it wasn't that good. It seemed like the employees were not aware of the menu and didn't know which sauce goes inside the chef menu bowl. It was our first time because they had a promo for all chef bowls for $10 each, but the original price of the bowls we ordered, The Main and The Keto, was $18 and $19, respectively. I got mine with brown rice, but the brown rice was so hard and undercooked. The white rice was okay for my husband's order. They didn't even ask if we had any food allergies before they started putting in the ingredients, and they weren't aware of which sauce pairs well with the bowl we ordered. One of the employees recommended spicy mayo when my husband already had wasabi mayo for the sauce. I don't eat cucumber, so I usually ask for no cucumber ahead of time, but unfortunately, it wasn't listed in the menu ingredients. I watched the employee putting ingredients in my order and then saw cucumber mixed in with white radish, so I asked them not to put that in. Then, one of my raw salmon pieces from the bowl ended up inside the radish and cucumber ingredients container, and I had to tell them so they could remove it.
The chairs were dirty, and the table wasn't clean, but it appeared that the new owner of the store was just watering the pots on the table with black food containers, lol.
While at work, a bunch of employees and the owner were going into all the nearby business, giving out free lunch bowls! I think it is under knew management.it was my first time trying any type of hawian meal. It tasted good and very fresh. I appreciated the free lunch! Thank you!
Not what I was expecting from reviews. The atmosphere was nice but at the same time had a Subway feel and layout. Unfortunately that's how the food was assembled as well. Everything was scooped from premade tubs it seemed. I was expecting everything sliced and diced from fresh. Just used to that I guess. I did enjoy the seaweed salad. Nice different addition to a poke bowl. Wasn't a fan of the scooped avocado and lobster/crab mix with mayo. The server was nice and very quick putting the bowls together. Overall the experience was ok but not excellent.
I have come to this location at least 5 times, I keep coming back because the bowls are delicious but I am always so disappointed by the customer service. The number of times I go in and the individuals are in the back, and you have to wait for someone to come out to help you (more than a few minutes), they are standing there and don't say hello and I am the first to address them, or they have headphones in one ear has occurred every time I've gone. I usually take the bowl to go, but sat to eat in yesterday and all of the tables were filthy covered in sauces and crumbs. As I sat there eating, I watched the next two customers come in and also have the same experience, standing at the counter for over 5 minutes waiting for someone to come out of the back to help them. Quite unfortunate.
Today I was happy to order from the sauna up the road for pickup. Didn't need door dash app and was super fresh and tasty. I'd go back! Really hit the spot with the pre built flavours. Wish sesame could be an added crunch option
Ordered an hour in advance for pickup and when we got there, they had just started making our bowls. They did not apologize for not having it ready and honestly didn’t seem to care. They were so SLOW, we waiting an extra 30min for them to make it. There was one guy who was working and the other lady in the back was taking her time not helping him. VERY disappointed with this business. They get one star for their food. DO BETTER
Ordered more than an hour ahead for our team lunch event. It was a big order for 9 people and they only start making the order after we arrived at the restaurant to pick it up. Soon after they start making it, they realize they ran out of the ingredients. The girl who claims to be the manager told us, it was because of the lunch rush hour so they didn’t have time to prepare our orders. There were only 7 people in the restaurant, I didn’t see any rush in here except for my backed up order! Of course by the time we got our food, lunch was already over. The “manager” showed no apologies and gratitude at all, this place might be better off shutting down, honestly.
I absolutely love this place! My favourite poke place and they are so kind here. I usually get takeout and they always make me the best bowl:) keep up the good work guys!
Food is ok. Way too much sauce. Pricey for a $20 lunch. Hit and miss if you get a good server. The one today was rude. Will look at other lunch options in the area.
Knocking down to a 4 as I just had to discard some of my negitoro as it wasn’t prepared properly (connected tissue not removed). Otherwise tasted good as usual.
Lots of toppings and sauces to choose from to customize your bowl. The staff are helpful and friendly. I was craving some poke after being intoduced to it in Hawaii a few months ago, can't compare but this place hit the spot nevertheless!
Updating my review to 5/5. The fish is fresh, the rice this time, actually vinegar'd and super tasty. The right texture, not mushy, actual grains of sushi rice. Pretty close to what I've had in Kauai.
I can't get enough of this place, the staff are so friendly, the food is delicious and it's really easy to get to, sidewalk friendly and lots of parking. Overall, I love this place and probably eat here more than I should
Fresh, clean and simple to order. There are options to create your own bowl or have a pre-determined one. Cost ranges from a regular at $13 (2 proteins, 3 sides) or large at $15 (3 proteins, 4 sides). All the toppings are visible behind a glass for you to make the options. You can choose between eat in or take out. They make a fee drinks in house too and/or carry some unique kombucha. Staff is friendly. Food is tasty with lots of options. Decor is simple and clean. It is pricey but is worth its value for something fresh and filling.
My favourite poke place in the city although I live nowhere close to here. I love the quality of the fish and the option of having a cauliflower rice base to make it more low carb friendly. The topping options are also great and they give you a generous amount of everything. Always a go-to whenever I crave for poke.
I order takeout/delivery via doordash from here all the time! Generous portions, fresh, quality and tasty ingredients. Consistently amazing colour and quality. I love the spicy tuna and avocado nori. One of the best poke spots in the city, for sure.
Hands down my favourite poke place in the city! The quality is consistent and the flavorful toppings and sauces definitely sets them apart from other poke restaurants. The drinks are also delicious and worth trying.
Delicious bowls of really healthy food great options for vegetarians and vegans, very fresh, lots of flavor variety. A little on the expensive side, but well worth it.
Acai bowl was not good at all (nutty & nice bowl) and super tiny! Disappointing especially for the high price. Booster juice next door acai bowl is way better and half the price. Poke bowls are pretty good but pricey. But the acai bowl nope
Pacific poke is definitely my favourite poke place in the city. The ingredients are super fresh and flavourful. I went in today with my sister and the girl that was helping us was quite rude. At the till, she accidentally rang up 3 bowls instead of 2. We quickly pointed out the mistake and for some reason she acted annoyed at us and didn’t even apologize. Her attitude throughout our whole time there was unpleasant. The staff is usually very friendly and nice so this was unexpected and extremely disappointing. Regardless of the service today, we love the food so we will continue to come back and support them.
Nice place with a good selection of toppings. They also have a selection of drinks that they make in house, which are quite good and fit the theme of the place.
Great food! I am officially in love with this place and love that there are vegetarian and vegan options for the Poke Bowls! Staff are amazing and very informative!
Oh my word is this place tasty as. Big bowls of fresh seafood and tasty treats await. Awesome service and great variety. Will fill my gut here on the regular.
I don’t know how this place has so many 5 star ratings. Firstly I’ll hand it to the staff, they were very nice, but everything food related was garbage. My rice was cold, the seasoning on the fish was tastless, and it’s small protein portions. Not even close to poke from Hawaii, just a cheap knockoff.
If y’all are ever in Honolulu, check out Fresh Ahi off the Boat and taste the real thing.
Another great option in Calgary's ever expanding Poke food scene. Great location for Anyone in the S. W.as there is no other nearby. The food was very fresh and delicious, menu had a lot of the same and some different options compared to other poke locations. Portions were spot on. Would definitely return if I am in the area.
Pacific Poke delivers on delicious fresh Poke bowls with a large variety of options for toppings and bases. It's extremely convenient and travels well for takeout options. I would highly recommend stopping off to try it out. The owners are good people, take time to say hello!
