This is my new favourite campground! As the last reviewer said, I almost skipped writing a review, as this place is such a little hidden gem. Lots of trees, great sites (including well-treed pull-throughs in Loop A), close to the river, a nice long trail that runs through the campground and by the river with lots of short side trails, and Sulphur Springs trail connects if you want to do a longer hike (or mountain biking - there is a built and maintained track including double black diamond). The camp hosts this year (Greg and Corrina) are awesome, friendly and helpful. As others have said, FCFS (first come, first served) - it was full when I got there before noon on a Friday, but managed to get a site when someone left.
There is no dump station at the campground, but there are dump stations at Maclean Creek Campground, and the four-lane Elbow Valley dump station a short drive from the campground. The dump station at the Elbow Valley Visitor's Information Centre is closed, but it's a great stop to get trail maps, weather report, and free Wi-Fi.
If you are camping here for a bit and don't know the area, be sure to check out Forget-Me-Not pond (get there early) and Elbow Falls. Beautiful area!

Large lots with easy pull in / pull out access. This is a no frills campground, so no water/electric hook-ups. Lots of great walking trails with great access to the Elbow river. Priced accordingly and we found it to be very quiet and bug free.

My husband and I camp here every year, it is always well maintained and the staff are absolutely wonderful.

Nice place, large and too many unserviced campground, walking along the river and a good hiking trail for beginners.

Its a little further to the river here than at Beaver Flats but still nice big sites and a good distance apart

Nice camp site. It affordable and the public restrooms were very clean for a camping environment.

Very quiet on most week days. No services but fire wood is available. Watch out for the odd bear in the neighborhood, and of course the cows that sometimes wander through from the adjacent farmers field. Great river walk trail and only 26$ per night. Very close to Calgary and the dump station is just down the road before bragging creek.

We went to the sulphur spring riverview loop and the trail head is just across the road, thousands of wildflowers everywhere.

Had a horrible homophobic experience. My gay partner & I were bullied out of our campsite, threatened to be beat up & called "retards", the park ranger took their side because they were a str8 couple with kids & a dog, which apparently defines 'family'. We are also a family, we've been together for 18 yrs & are mature grown men, we were treated like children by the camp security & given a warning, even though the man from site #73 walked into our site & threatened to beat us up & stalked our camp ground with his wife. I feel sorry for their children, they were extremely aggressive. Only str8 hicks that listen to country music are allowed at Paddy's Flat. Don't bother if your gay.

More signaling would be great, but this is a great family nature walk!
Opportunities to get close to the water, have a picnic in the rocks!
No Day use parkade, you have to leave the car at the campground gate.
Trail starts in front of spot A13.
Only inconvenience was the sounds of the ORVs from McLean creek

Perfect camp site for a weekend getaway. Affordable, cute scenery, enough of spots for groups or individuals, and friendly hosts.
