I recently had an outstanding experience at this remarkable place! My order tonight, a delightful combo platter for four, left us all in awe. The shawarma skewers on the platter were nothing short of perfection, showcasing the expertise that sets this establishment apart.

What truly stood out were the fresh and vibrant salads that accompanied the platter, adding a burst of flavor and freshness. It's evident that the attention to detail in crafting these dishes is a testament to the commitment to quality.

The service, led by Ahmed and Omar, was impeccable. Their warmth and friendliness enhanced our dining experience, making it not just a meal but a memorable event. Ahmed and Omar truly went above and beyond, demonstrating a level of customer service that is both rare and commendable.

The food is so fresh and tasty. Highly recommended! Kamal gave us great service! Good job guys!

*Food*

- Fattoush Salad (8/10) : The salad is fresh, tasty, and has a twist with the Zaatar seasoning on top. It's a very good starter, although the authentic Fattoush salad comes with zaatar leaves; still it's a very good choice.

- Tabbouleh Salad (6/10) : It does not taste like an original tabbouleh salad. Some spices were added, which we couldn't exactly know what, that made the salad taste differently. Not a highly recommended option for a starter.

Saj Tablieh Chicken (7/10) : There was a lot of bread in the sandwich, we couldn't really enjoy it because they took a lot of time to get it and we were already full. It's still a good choice to go with.

- Saj Tablieh Beef (7.5/10) : The sandwich was tasty, the only problem is that it was soggy a bit. We couldn't eat it properly and it left a mess behind. A suggestion would be to grill the sandwich a bit before serving it.

- Eggplant Kabab (0/10) : We ordered the plate, and we couldn't even try it. The eggplant was so raw and we were hoping for the restaurant to replace the plate, but they cooked another eggplant and got it to us, which came 20-25 mins later. By then, the meat was so cold and nobody could taste the plate.

- Batata Harra (8/10) : A creamy and delicious dish. A very good choice; just a heads up, it's a bit spicy. But it was one of my favorites among the plates we ordered.

- Lentil Soup (8/10) : The soup was so good, we asked for extra fried bread and they got us lots of it. It comes hot and fresh, a good choice.

*Service*

The service made our experience at the place very disappointing. The waiters there are nice, it's just the service was very disappointing. Here is what happened:

1- We ordered the Eggplant Kabab plate without onions. It came with extra onions and the eggplant was uncooked. They came back with a cooked eggplant after 20-25 minutes, instead of replacing the plate or even offering for anything else.

2- We reached 5: 40pm; although the place was not busy, we left 7: 50pm. The food took forever to be served, and they served 3 plates of fresh bread which made us full. Even the bill, it took a good 10-15 mins.

3- Not sure if they were understaffed, but there was no manager, no one in charge to kind of look after the place. Even though we expressed our concerns with what was served, no one showed up to address our concerns. The staff is friendly, they are not rude, it's just they did not deal with the issue itself.

It was a disappointing experience, with all what we've heard about this place. Not sure if it was a bad day to visit, but this is what happened with us. We went to another place for deserts, because we did not expect a fast service and we'd already spent 2 hours there.

*Atmosphere*

Very chill place. Calm, good music, and a good place for a friends gathering.

We tried this restaurant on a recommendation of a friend. There were 6 of us, got a full platter of the mixed combo. Essentially a variety dish of Mediterranean food (to my understanding). Not one thing was disappointing on that platter. All 6 of us are like kings, had leftovers. And the platter rationed out to about $20person. Keep in mind some members of our party were big hefty eaters. Myself included. Ever since that first experience I've brought many groups back for a similar experience. Never disappointed. Except when I took my mom there for her birthday but she's picky as hell. That woman doesn't like nothing that isn't her own design. Spanish mom's though.

The food is to die for! 1st round of hummus and freshly baked bread are complimentary to start. The garlic sauce is the absolute best I have ever had.can eat that on everything! Hummus is epic!
Platter was delicious, can't say enough. The issues:
Wait staff, although super kind and friendly just couldn't keep up and there were not many people, 4 families. I asked for a soup and asked for certain dips, all separate. I was told after 20 mins there was no soup, no biggie but wait staff should know what is available for the evening menu when taking an order.
My husband got his order (platter) while I waited for my shish taouk, asked waiter and was told '5 mins', ok.waited and waited. My husband had finished his platter and finally got mine and was no longer hungry as I was snacking on bread. I took the food to go. When I got home I realized the spicy chicken my husband ordered for his food, ended up in my take away.
The waiter gave me a large oder of garlic sauce to take home, very thankful.
Got invoice and see that the soup was charged and a mezza that I didn't order. No worries, was corrected.
Wait staff are very slow, if you're okay with this, then the food and kind staff will NOT disappoint.
I would order again from Paramount but I would take it to go.

Service was excellent until it got busy waited over 20 mins to get the bill and asked 3 times. Never met a restaurant that takes so long to receive their money

Here’s the thing, the food was absolutely delicious. Had the hummus, eggplant and labneh dips, they were fresh, vibrant, eggplant perfectly smoky. Chicken Shawarma plate was great, fries were super crispy and fluffy on the inside, chicken was crispy and juicy. But even if the food had been mediocre (which it isn’t, it’s delicious), their service is what blew my mind. It was a bunch of teenage boys, who were some of the most efficient and respectful servers I’ve ever met. These kids could show grown adults how perfect customer service is executed. This place is in the regular rotation for sure!

First time dining experience, the food is extremely fresh, tasted amazing, and the presentation was beautiful. Fast and friendly service from the moment you walk in the door. The waitress was very friendly and gave us great service. Definitely will be back.

I must say this is one of the best Mediterranean restaurants in Edmonton or even Alberta. They start you off with humus and freshly baked bread from the oven (both complimentary). They have a large menu but i think their lamb chops were among the top rated. Their beef kababs with good and seasoned potatoes were quite different with unique Arabian flavour. I am not a fan of chicken overall but chicken skewers were decent.

Always satisfied with the service and the food that i come all the way from Saskatoon to here. One of the best if not the best place to eat in Edmonton. So much food and very good price.

Our family recently had Paramount cater after a memorial service and it was amazing. The food was so flavourful, perfectly cooked and the servings were very generous. They were great to work with and all the food was prepared on time. The pistachio baklava was so good. Definitely recommend!

I have been going to Paramount for several years now and i can definitely say for a fact that the food has gotten better recently. I dont know if they changed their cook, but whatever it is they did, food is delicious. The atmosphere and the music top it all off amazingly. Service was quick. I didnt wait too long for my food or drinks. Polite staff, family friendly. 5 stars, would definitely recommend going there for my next family outing.
