A well organized and efficient transfer station for disposing of everything from furniture to house hold waste and hazerdous materials. We had ~250kg of various wastes and it cost less than $40. Everything was well labeled and explained by friendly staff in a way that avoided all confusion. I was very happy to see a large roofed area for a take-it/leave-it section that we put several gently used dressers and chairs in for anyone to peruse and take as they desired, that is recycling at its best! A very short drive from Spruce Grove/Stoney Plain, definitely worth the trip.

I am over all happy I guess but if I could just get my head around this one thing. I bring my old bike, excersise bike, treadmill, elliptical.all in good condition and I was just going to bring it over to the pick and put? As it wasn’t garbage i still payed a firm price to leave the stuff? And then I gotta wonder if the people who had taken all the items as fast as I could get the stuff un strapped, did they then pay to “take” the “FREE “ excersise equipment? If so then I gotta say that’s some kinda business huh? But at least they are very polite and professional about it and very organized with the separate spot for everything you can think of,?

Everyone is very nice. Place is clean and easy to get around. Usually in and out pretty quick. I recommend taking large amounts of bush and tree trimmings elsewhere. Hard to get in the bin.

My father and I were hoping to dump the waste oil we had collected over a year of oil changes, but the lady here told us in a rather condescending tone that we would be charged an extra fee due to having our oil come from a small company.
The total cost would have worked out to around $250 for what we had, which wasn't right considering the environmental fee for recycling it was already paid for when one buys the oil.
Finding out we'd be charged twice for this sort of thing AND being treated like some criminal makes me understand why people simply dump their garbage in the back forty or along the road, even if it is wrong.

Like another reviewer said, there are definitely trash nazis here who get a kick from treating other people like, well, garbage.

Friendly staff at the gate.
Give and take is often too much of a mess. A lot of the stuff should be garbage.
Otherwise it’s a good transfer station

This place is a scam! They charge double what the private landfills charge and their scales are complete bs. Went there with a half ton load barely full they said I had 872 kg lol which is close to double what my truck can carry. My truck was barely at half capacity. The ladies working there are rude snobs. Get real you work at the dump. More poorly managed government facilities scamming everyone.
