Patrinos Steak House & Pub

This is e review of the pub, not the restaurant part. For seeing sports and having a good time with friends over some beers, the pub is all right I'd say. The food is mediocre, the Wednesday wing night is not really worth going. But the really bad part of Patrino's pub is the service. Constantly understaffed, slow and more interested in flirting with dudes on the bar than actually waiting tables. We (group of 8) wanted to drink more, but noone came to ask if we wanna order something more. Then we were waiting to pay for 25 minutes, had already 8 purses on the table and were all getting step by step into jackets and hats. Eventually they realised we wanted to go home. We were close to just walking out.
A guy from the table beside ours came in, waited 20+ minutes, didn't get ANY service attention at all, so he left to enjoy his evening hopefully somewhere else. Losing lots of money and customers it seems. Obviously both not needed.

I’m Celiac so we had the Gluten Free crust House Pizza - only had to remove ground beef! Ordered crust well done and was perfect! Highly recommend and have Strongbow and White Claw adult beverages for Celiac requirements! Thanks!

We loved the food, pizza was soooo good that we went back for breakfast the next morning. The waitress was very friendly and personable. Definitely will be back next time we are in Canmore.

The food is quite good, an interesting culinary adventure in the canadas hidden wild side. They have Canadian beers which taste a little bit above average than the rest, not disappointed. Go oilers.

Arrived at 10: 50am for the breakfast deal that ends at 11am. Server gave us menus for the 10am menu. Then disappeared for 10 minutes, came back and took our menus away and gave us the full priced menu and said we had missed the deal. So stupid.

Staff was super friendly and overall great. No issues there. Atmosphere was nice, typical sports bar type scene.

Now the food.my Boyfriend’s loaded burger was big and messy and made a Big Mac at McDonald’s more appealing.
The wings I ordered based on a previous review saying how good they were ended up being the biggest disappointment. The first batch I got were very much overcooked and inedible, the waitress sent it back to the kitchen and the second batch was an undercooked soggy, sad basket of wings.

At that point I figured either the kitchen staff cannot cook simple golden brown wings or they didn’t like that they had to redo the order and the second batch was their solution to the initial “overcooked”complaint.

2 beers, a burger and “fried” wings for $65. If you’re looking for late night eats in Canmore, stick with fast food places.

Would return for the staff, but certainly not for the food.

We are in town for a hockey tournament we looked for a restaurant that would accommodate the team and Patrinos did that they worked us for a buffet for the kids it was great! The pizza is really good I had the fish and chips it was great as well may wife had the club house she enjoyed it as well! The staff was great friendly zero complaints on coming here! I would come back for dinner in a heart beat and would recommend to anyone coming to Canmore!

Ordered 2 poutines for delivery at 8: 06 and had them by 8: 26! Fast and reliable service and great food are a recipe for a repeat customer! You guys rock!

We had steak sandwiches and for the price point, they are the best in the Bow Valley. Great food!

Wonderful Place. We booked dinner here with my son's hockey team and they did an amazing Job at hosting 20 8 year old hockey players and 40 parents! They gave the kids a custom pizza buffet in their own section complete with an ice cream and cookie dessert bar. For adults, salads, pastas and pizza. All the food was amazing, the service was amazing, can't say enough good things. If you're in Canmore stop by and you won't be disappointed.

I wish I could give Patrinos more stars, they are fabulous! It’s always quite busy but very good food, friendly service and well priced! Thank you.

Matte best waiter serving best food. My 6 year old ordered spaghetti and tried my husband's steak and my child traded meals lol I ordered beef ribs and melted in my mouth.and wow my daughters spaghetti was good too. They suggested the perfect wine to our meal.my daughter and my husband and I left full and so happy walking distance from our hotel and felt high class.

We ordered fish and chips and it mentioned that it came with a side dish. Well, the side dish was the fries which we found ridiculous. Fish and chips should come with.wait for it.fish and CHIPS should it not. I wanted coleslaw to be the side but was told my fries were the side and that they don't have coleslaw anyway. Wow, not impressed. The plate was not appealing at all.they dumped a bunch of fries on it and put the fish on top. That's it, that's all we got. It said tartar sauce came with it but when I asked the waitress where our tarter sauce was she said she would bring us some but that it wasn't "included". I told her it was on the menu as being "included" and she said she would bring us some then. We won't ever go back, that's for sure.

Great tasting pizza! A little too much crust for me. Lots of screens for entertainment and beer on tap.

My favorite stop in Canmore, the food is excellent, service is very good.
I always have the steak sandwich, it is the best steak sandwich i have had, and i have had many.

Food tasted fresh, bathrooms were clean. Food took a little while to show up but considering what we got it was great. Would recommend anytime you stop in Canmore

We go there for the lasagna which is our favourite. I like the Patrinos lasagna and me wife loves the marinara lasagna. The scenery isn't bad either.

Great food. Great prices. Great service. Great ambience. Great company. What more can you ask for?

Seems more like a sports pub then a steak house. Although the potatoes were a bit salty the steak was melt in your mouth heaven. Staff were all super friendly. Highly recommend going for a local Canmore pint and their perfect steak. Thank you.

Last summer, me & my family ate lunch here. It was fantastic experience. Staffs are very nice, foods are so delicious! Specially, we loved house special pizza.

Great burger and fries. Friendly staff. Clean washroom. Not busy at all when I went. Food served fast and hot. Would definitely come back here for more!

The waitress was very attentive and helpful. We enjoyed the French onion soup, it was tasty and hot. We also enjoyed the nacho platter. We were disappointed with the large sized ceasar salad. The dressing was light and watery which really took away from enjoying this dish are all. We were disappointed at paying for our order. We are staying at the Days Inn hotel across the road. At check-in the front desk said there is an agreement with Patrinos for a discount for hotel guests. Hungrily we went there as a group of 10 expecting a discount and they said it no longer applies. We paid our bill but discouraged that 2 businesses are willing to put paying customers into uncomfortable situations.

Had the baby back rib dinner. It was very good. Generous serving. Our server Emma was lovely and very attentive. The strawberry cheesecake dessert was delicious. Will definitely come back when we return to Canmore.

With the group size we had & no reso, they put us on the pub side. Cool. Everybody was very impressed with the food & service (r). Excellent

The hostess said we couldn't sit at a booth as they were all reserved. Funny the whole time we were there no one sat at the table. We were seated at our table for over 10 minutes the server didn't come to our table. Bad service. The server wasn't good at all. I was only drinking water and ran out a few times. Food was good.

I find some of the food too salty. But it still one of the best wings spot in town and they have free popcorn. Wish they had a better patio. The calamari is to dye for, just go check it out for yourself, can't knock till you try it. As always come try it yourself don't just take my word for it.

That honestly may have been the best chicken souvlaki I’ve ever had. Amazing greek salad too. The other folks in my group had the fish & chips and steak sandwich; big portions & very good.

3 stars at best. The food was so so. The nachos plate was big but the rest of the food wasn't so good. The beef ribs were too salty, the chicken wings were so over fried they were dry and crunchy.
This place is a pass. Better options in town available. The decor needs a major overhaul as well.

Our sports car club has traveled to Canmore and Patrinos is always our dinning location of choice. They provide excellent service and delicious food.

Tzatziki was weak. Truffle fries didn't taste like truffles. $31.50 is too much for the low quality. Try to make it better.

I've only gone for breakfast, and had the breakfast steak and eggs, which was delicious. Seemed like more of an upscale place (there was a group of 8 luxury cars parked in front when I went). Service was good. No complaints, as I feel you get what you pay for.

Friendly staff, really good food, environment was lax and chill, came here after leaving a restaurant down the street that we were unimpressed with and this made up for it, would recommend to anyone looking for a pub dine-in experience. Didnt catch the bartenders name but he was very polite, fast and efficient at ensuring we were satisfied.

Had the best meal. Both pizza had tons of toppings with a thick crust. Two pieces and grown adults were full. The baby back rib meal was huge. The service was fast and friendly. I will be back again.

We had a really nice experience here. The drinks and food was great. Prices are like an Olive Garden fair. I had the braised ribs with Pappardelle pasta. My spouse had steak with sides and kids had chicken fingers. The kids are finger connoisseurs and they said they are some of the best they have ever had-fries included.

We’ve ordered here and dined in many times over the years. Generally more hits than misses, hence why we decided to treat ourselves to the “house special”pizza and wings. What a mistake that was. An ABSOLUTE disappointment is an understatement. The pizza was un-eatable. Literally the 4 of us were so disgusted by the taste of the crust that had either gone bad or possibly was gluten free (which we did not order) regardless not worth $70 plus a wait time of over 2 hours? ! Unacceptable. Even the dogs steered clear. The toppings weren’t even bound to the bread. It was weird and wrong in so many ways. I called the next day, had a lovely chat with a sweet lady on the phone, same one I had ordered from the night before. I told her that I would prefer to speak to management than to leave a poor review because everyone deserves a chance at redemption and should want to right a wrong especially with loyal costumers. Unfortunately, not the case.

I order the quesadilla and the “chicken” was gray and red and when I asked the server started arguing it was just dark meat but it was mush and then just walked away, the juices were all warm and tasted like metal, the ranch was warm and the eggs Benedict was not only cooked wrong but was sour. Poor food and service

We stayed at the super 8 hotel next to this restaurant and decided to try it out. The food was great. My only complaint would be that it took an hour from ordering to receiving the food. Our server was was very friendly and not over bearing. I would definitely eat here again

Found this gem of a restaurant while vacationing in Canmore and found that the food was excellent and the steak very tasty as well as the nacho plate. The service was also excellent and the staff seemed very friendly and helpful. Also a nice looking restaurant.

I experienced a terrible bout of food poisoning from the seafood linguine a few hours after eating at Patrino’s in Canmore on Saturday, Feb. 13. I Facebook messaged the restaurant early that morning with no reply. My husband phoned later just to make sure they were aware. The manager denied it could possibly be their problem and didn’t even offer an apology. We expected nothing but that. We weren’t interested in an argument or even a deal on our $150 tab. I ate nothing else that night so there is little doubt my food poisoning was caused by anything other than the seafood. I missed out on cross country skiing and dog sledding the next day which added to the disappointment.

We also noticed before we left that we were over charged $6 for drinks and despite that the service was slow, we still tipped the server 15% with no complaint. We wanted to support this industry considering the economy during the pandemic. I have never made a poor review for any establishment in my life but since Patrino’s was not even slightly apologetic, I felt I needed to do so.
