We take our dog Fig here for occasional daycare and she always has such a good time! Amanda always knows exactly who we are when we come in, and specific details about every dog that’s being picked up that day. Her attention to detail is truly unbelievable.
I chose this place for last Saturday to leave my two dogs for a day. I had called in the beginning of the week as my plans for their care had fallen through kind of last minute. They were able to accomidate me with no issues. I live over 3 hours away and had to go into town for a tattoo and massage appointment, and stayed at a relatives house where I couldn't bring the dogs, due to an allergy. I picked them up and we drove home on Sunday. The staff was very welcoming and charismatic and my dogs loved them instantly. I chose this place because of the good reviews online, and the pricing in comparison to the other options available around Cold Lake. The staff also offered additional services such as nail clipping for a very reasonable price, so I of course went for it! I was pleasantly surprised and appreciative to have updates throughout the girls stay there, which included pictures and videos that showed how much of a fantastic time they were having! Thanks again for your wonderful service! I will be returning!
The BEST daycare in South Edmonton! We love our dogs more than most people love their kids, and therefore their care is of utmost importance to us. Our older dog has been going to this daycare since they opened years ago, and our little rescue puppy has been here the last couple years with him. They've both used the daycare facilities, grooming, as well as the overnight boarding facilities and i would recommend all three. I cannot say enough good things. They truly care for the wellbeing of the dogs and go above and beyond. Thank you to Amanda and her team
I've been thinking all day whether to write this comment. My rating is ZERO. I got a recommendation for this center because I'm looking for accommodation for my dog, where he won't be in the box all day and where he can socialize with other dogs. I visited this center today to book accommodation for my dog. I started a conversation about the appointment and what was needed, and at the end of the conversation, the girl told me that they only accept fixed dogs, because they are free to play, they are not in a box. She said that my dog will attack other dogs and will be aggressive, and he is very small, only 3 kg and 10 months old. He is a healthy and very happy dog. I was very hurt and sad all day. I just can't fathom that people have gone so far with malice. Who am I to deny my dog the right to procreate? Why would I do that if nature gave him the opportunity to have offspring. I don't have children and it's a very painful topic for me, that's why I don't understand how I can take away my dog's right to offspring, just because I want to leave him for 12 days in this dog center. It's the same as having a baby and you decide on her behalf to fix her and that when she grows up she can't have her own children. I simply can't and I don't want to. My husband and I recently moved from Europe and I have no one here, we have no one to leave our only joy and happiness with, because our dog has become our life. I've been crying all day and I don't know what to do and where to leave him for 12 days while we're on the road, because they didn't want to receive him because he wasn't fixed. How are people so cruel and rude?
Answer:
I read your reply and I am really very unpleasantly surprised by your coolness towards such a cruel act. I look after my dog as the greatest treasure I have, and I certainly will not allow that if she ever has puppies, they will be abandoned, as is the case in this province. I understand why people here are like that, because they have no empathy for humans or animals, EVERY CAST WITH EXCEPTIONS! Homes for neglected children are also full, no one divides people into sterilized or not, although they might start here, given your attitude. I also cannot understand that you only accept dogs that have been sterilized, that is really cruel and very bad of you. After everything I've heard from you, I never would have trusted you to look after my pet, but never. So your opinion is no longer important to me, nor do I care. Everything I heard was enough to form an image of you. It's really sad that everything is like this and every day I'm more and more disappointed by the cold-bloodedness of the people I've met here.
Amanda was super helpful in helping us with assessing our dog’s suitability for the facility. Everything was clear and all our questions were answered. Unfortunately, our dog isn’t a suitable candidate, but Amanda treated our dog with respect, care and didn’t force the dog to do things the dog didn’t feel up to it. Amanda immediately informed us when she found that our dog was uncomfortable in the facility and explained about the situation. Great communication overall.
The facility do require vaccination to be up to date, just as any other dog care facilities, but that wasn’t very clear on the website.
Paws at play has been an absolute godsend raising a young puppy. The staff are exceedingly kind and helpful, are extremely accommodating, and our puppy always comes home the happiest boy. Highly highly recommend this place
We love paws where our pets are cared for and loved. Arnie's home away from home when we travel. Whether for one day or several weeks we know he's well looked after!
I’ve been bringing my dog twice a week to Paws at Play for almost a year now, and cannot say enough good things about the staff and the facility. My dog used to be extremely nervous around people he did not know, and bringing him to a daycare where everyone is so kind and patient has really helped him build his courage around strangers. I can’t even say the word daycare without him losing his mind with excitement.
I can’t thank the staff enough for making me feel so secure about leaving my dog with them, and for always showing Chuck so much love. Him and I both highly, highly recommended Paws at Play!
Grateful to Celeste for calming my anxious pet and giving her the time she needed to go through the bath and grooming routine without the stress. It was by far the most stressful morning of my life since Molly had 2 seizures at her previous groomers.
Penny loves attending daycare here! We are so at ease leaving her with educated staff that are looking out for her. We’ve also taken private training with Amanda and we learned more than we did in 6 weeks of puppy classes with a different trainer. We are excited to keep training and playing with Paws at Play!
Our dog has been coming here since she was a young pup. I cannot thank the staff enough for how wonderful they have treated her and how accommodating they’ve been. Paws at Play has truly helped in making her the wonderful dog she is today! I cannot recommend this daycare enough- especially for first time dog owners or those looking for a safe and professional place to send their dog. Our girl always comes home happy and is excited to hear the word ‘daycare’ now:)
My pup just started at Paws at Play and he seems to be loving it! He runs to the door so excited when I drop him off. Not only that, but the staff have been absolutely phenomenal. It is clear they go above and beyond to create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere!
We take our Shitzu Bichon here to be groomed. They are amazing, although make sure to call ahead cause they're busy! Amanda is one of the few people I know who will treat my dog as if he's hers. She has done wonders for dogs in and around Edmonton through her rescue. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
My dog loves going to daycare and always leaves feeling happy. The staff are friendly and I like the photos that are uploaded on their Facebook page for updates! I know when I leave my dog there he is well looked after.
Our puppy loves her time here. Amanda (the owner) is super friendly and runs a great doggy daycare service. If your looking for a daycare for your pooch, make sure to check this place out.
My dog Caicos loves coming here! It’s a safe and fun place for her to come and play with the other dogs & staff that work there! I would recommend this place to everyone it is clean and beautifully designed for the dogs. They take great care of my pup here!
I absolutely love this place and so does my girl Luna. The staff is friendly and they are extremely knowledgeable, not to mention kind. Best daycare in the city in my opinion. Thanks for being amazing guys!
Amazing facility. They are super caring and knowledgeable. My dog had a blast while we were on vacation. We are always pretty nervous about leaving our dog with other people but we felt completely relaxed about leaving him at Paws at Play. They sent us photos, videos and updates.
The staff at Paws at Play are great, they really enjoy spending time with the dogs and are one of the few no force dog daycare's in Edmonton. This being said they don't let the dogs run-a-muck during there stay at the daycare, they actively monitor the dogs interactions and behavior and will provide appropriate alternatives to help the dogs interact in a positive way with the other dogs and the staff. Our dog can't wait to get out of the car and run's to the door every time I take him. When I pick him up he is excited to see me but always would go back to play with the staff and the other dogs if I would let him. This is a great daycare for someone who wants their dog to go to daycare willingly and come home tired after a great day of play.
