I ordered a hard-to-find game from these folks and they were great to deal with. Best price I could find in North America, reasonable shipping to another province, and very quick. The owner even reached out personally to confirm my order. Hopefully I'll be able to visit the store in person someday!

The best selection of board games and funniest, most engaging staff. Learning new games can be intimidating but owner David made it easy. Comfortable setting, lots of nearby parking, and so much laughter. 10/10 recommend for a night out.

I had the best Saturday evening hosting friends at Pe Metawe Games! My new favourite games are Monikers (hilarious!), King of Tokyo: Monster Box (competitive strategy), Exploding Kittens (easy and entertaining so you can have a good conversation while playing), and Unnecessary Inventions (get your creative juices flowing!).
Host David J Plamondon explained all the games so we could spend more time playing and less time reading rule books.

I highly recommend booking Pe Metawe for a night out with friends, corporate team-building afternoon/night, or date night. 100% a community gem.

Dave is one of the best kinds of people; he is not just passionate about his own store, he is passionate about games and what they mean to people and the types of things that can grow from games and from a healthy gaming community.

This is not a real gaming store. This is a real community centre, that also happens to sell, host and promote all types of gaming.

Although I'm not the typical customer for this store, I was amazed by the staff's descriptive response & opinion about their products. The staff seeks out (other) customers' preferences before making any recommendations. More than ample space in the store & freedom to look at products without being pressured to buy.

What a great find, good prices, good selection, and the owner or staff member was helpful, super friendly and he showed knowledge about the games and showed interest in his customers. This is in stark contrast to some other game shops and board game cafe's sadly.

I want to edit this rating due to their staff member David. I emailed him on a Saturday to see if they ever get copies of Spirit Island Jagged Earth. He emailed me back 15 minutes later saying he had ordered some in and would hold a copy for me. This place has become my go to board game store. Not to mention they are active in the community, which is a big perk.

Friendly, prompt service. I was looking for a particular TTRPG (Good Society) and this store was the only local one that carried it. Lots of cool looking games I'd never heard of, along with old favourites.

What a great shop! Went in to find a Christmas gift for kids aged 3,6 and 8. Two staff were in at the time and both had multiple suggestions for the ages I was looking for. They not only knew the games well but took into account some very specific things I was looking for and asked questions to help find the perfect fit. They were super friendly and did a nice job promoting the gaming space and private rooms without being pushy. They also have an astounding selection of games and seem to know enough about every item they stock to explain it and give some info about who might enjoy it. I am looking forward to going back!

I had a great experience at Pe Matawe. The people who work there were incredibly kind and helpful.
