Peasant Cheese Kensington

Attended a wine and cheese tasting at the market next door with cheese curated by Adam from Peasant Cheese. All the pairings were amazing and I left the event with a whole new appreciation for how many kinds of cheeses exist and the important life knowledge that you can milk a water buffalo This will be my new go to for cheese in Calgary

What’s there to say? It’s cheese! All we had was amazing. The sandwiches there are so delicious as well, those buns were great!

Fantastic cheese shop! Call ahead if you want a cheese board and you won’t be disappointed. This is my go-to shop when I have people coming over or for a hostess gift.

The product was fantastic and the selection was great. However the Asian lady who helped us was extremely rude and ignorant. If I go back and she is there I will be asking for another person to help me.

Such an incredibly well curated selection of top quality cheese, charcuterie and accompaniments! The staff are helpful, knowledgeable and kind! Plus, the shop is fabulously cute!

I really hate to leave a review like this on a shop that I have really loved a lot in the past. But I feel it's important to post this because it's a problem I've run into with a number of businesses in the last year and I think it is very bad practice. I showed up at 5: 45 on a day when the business hours are posted closing at 6: 00. I know this is very close to closing time and it's very tempting for staff to close a bit early if customers are not around, but it's also hazardous to do because honestly I won't be coming back likely if I have to drive across town to come to a store I want to come to and they are not open during their posted business hours because I just simply can't rely on it ever again and so I won't be coming back. Especially when I'm standing at the door after trying the door looking at the hours posted checking the time and staff is sort of pretending I'm not there. Simply not a great practice in retaining customers

Great selection, delicious products plus all sorts of accessories and other fun things. Lovely staff who were very patient and helpful with a group of us doing a photo scavenger hunt.
