My fiance and I were in shopping for wedding rings and I have nothing but good things to say. We didn't feel pressured to purchase anything, the individual that we were working with was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Shout out to Chynna! I was in to purchase a chain, Rosalinda helped me, this woman was so kind & patient with me, I was really taking my time to decide & I was getting very confused, she was wonderful, not pushy at all, I didn't sense any frustration coming off of her at all, as i am sure if it had been anyone else, i would have sensed some impatience! Also she was very helpful to help ME clear the confusion & help me determine what I would be the most happiest with! I'd say Rosalinda needs some recognition for her graceful, kind & professional sale person skills, she really cares & more important than her being pushy to make a sale, she cares more about you & that you are happy with your purchase, thanks Rosalinda! Terrible experience- the lady that assisted me with my online order pickup repeatedly kept saying I have a long name 4 times or so. And with this odd look on her face that l shouldnt? So finally I got fedup and asked her Is there anything wrong with having a long name? And what was her point? She couldnt respond. I found bringing it up to me as racist as can be. I probably spent over 1000 dollars at people's over the last month. Never ever going to this ridiculous store. People's Jewellers? Nah, you guys aint no people's store. #Diversity? #Inclusion? Nope!

Took over like 2 months to get rings services, don't get the "life time warranty" its a headache and a scam. I would just go elsewhere all together.

Rosie (NOT Rose), was very kind and helpful through our purchasing experience of a custom wedding ring. She is very friendly! BUT the rest of the staffs were RUDE, JUDGY and act as if we are disturbing them. (I'm talking about various different times we were in the store not just once or twice)

Absolutely awful experience with warranty repairs on my wedding set and anniversary ring. I never write reviews but this experience has removed my husband and I as People's Jewellers customers. Not only were the rings sent back 3 times without repairs being completed, but they did nothing to rush or expedite this process. The justification used time and time again was that "they're busy". No one at the market mall location noticed any of the errors made by the goldsmith (some errors made 2 times) and my rings are now gone again with no anticipated return date. If the repairs had been completed as requested the FIRST time they were sent to the Goldsmith I would have had my ring set back the first week of March. At nearly the end of April there is no concrete timeline of my rings being returned for the FOURTH TIME.

I DO NOT recommend People's Jewellers

I bought my husband an anniversary ring which is really nice and he loves it. However I had to buy it in a size 10 because they don't carry any other size in store. I didn't have time to order online and wait for delivery. As it turns out he needs a size 12. When we went back to the store to have it sized, we were told it would cost $172 to have it sized! It should be included! What a crime. I took it to a jeweller because I'm not going back to People's Jewellers again.

The quality of Peoples jewelry is always great, however, the service at this location was sub-par. The older lady looked at me with attitude as if I was merely window shopping. When I told her I was looking for a specific ring and that I was buying it immediately, her attitude changed completely. She also skipped over another customer waiting before me to help me as I told her I know what I’m looking for. Not professional so don’t expect great customer service if you go here. Their selection of men’s watches (compared to other locations) was also minimal.

I'm surprised at all the 1 start reviews, because my experience today was fantastic. All staff working were friendly and engaged in conversation with me. I was taken care of by staff member Rosie who was just lovely. She was extremely friendly, helpful, and had a great sense of humour. She helped me make a great choice for a Valentines gift, and then gift wrapped it for me. I never felt rushed or looked down upon. I was treated with respect. I will definitely return based on my experience today, and not the low reviews that are posted.

I bought a ring here. I paid cash for it but no one told me if I wanted to return it that it was over 200.00 cash that I would have to wait 21 days for them to “issue” me a cheque in the mail. Not one person at this store was helpful

Ok, so the truth is that I haven't shopped here. I was looking online at where I wanted to buy from. After looking online, I found pretty much exactly what I was looking for, and just wanted to go into the shop to check it out in person before buying. Based upon all the horrible reviews, I will not be shopping here. The reason I'm posting is that I want Peoples Jewellers to realize that their reputation (and bottom line) is being affected by the terrible customer service that they must have. A handful of negative reviews is always to be expected. But this seems way beyond that. I'll be taking my business elsewhere.

Listen I've just ready plenty of reviews that are validation of my experience. This is the worst customer service I have ever received.
In short form after twenty years my husband and I have spent thousands of dollars on upgrades to my diamonds. Followed every timeline and rule regarding warranty etc. Omg I have never felt like I was bothering someone as my last visit. I have medical condition and can't wear diamonds so wanted some alterations to my three rings.just some kindness would have been nice. The last few visits have been a nightmare.very rude and practically ineptitude!
Anyways found private jewelers and WOW.glad for that end of story.people's paperwork shredded.byeee.don't spend your money there run the other direction!

Not helpful and very rude. No worries will spend my money else where. Really not a problem for us to go somewhere else. I and my family wont be back. Old Lady i dealt with needs to go to charm school. Birks staff are friendly and helpful. Bought a ring there.

I don't think the employees care about making a sale. I was there for a good 15 minutes staring at the same watch waiting for someone to help me. The ladies kept walking over to couples instead of me even though they saw and they didn't even bother to say hello. When finally everyone left and the store was empty the old lady says to me from across the other side of the counter 'did ya need something? '. I can't believe a store that sells expensive jewellery and watches would hire people like that. I went to another store and paid full price for the watch instead even though they had a discount going on. Not worth it for them to get the commission.

Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE customer service. I cannot stress enough how bad it is. Walking in there, the employees care more about chatting with each other than with helping customers. I had to deal with Latifa for a warranty issue and she was extremely rude and unprofessional. Based on the many other reviews, bad customer service is clearly not an isolated incident. Never buy from here. You are better off supporting a local jeweler.

Went here because this is where my elderly father wanted to get my mother a christmas gift. It's the saturday before christmas, I didn't find out any earlier that I needed to do this with my father, so we went and waited for 10 minutes outside the store before it opened, in hopes of missing the shopping craze. We quietly looked through the metal gates at the jewelry in the cases trying to find something before it opened so we could be in and out and painless for everyone. Without even a hello from the 3 elderly ladies inside we were told 'we don't open until 9: 00. ' I smiled and acknowledged the comment thanking them. Then my father and I went elsewhere to wait for the store to open to avoid the glares from these biddies, and when 9: 00 am finally came they were still sitting on their stools chatting as we stood outside waiting for them to open the doors literally waiting to give them money. I was told 'THAT lady can help you SHES the one that spoke to you. ' clearing pegging an annoying customer on the lowest rank employee. I asked to see earrings, with a stone as my father had not seen what he would like and explained it was for my mother and hoped it would be something she could wear to work. The lady immediately took us to the designer earrings costing to start at $999.99, 'what's the birth month? ' she asked even though I already stated we weren't looking for that type of jewelry, 'well what is it? ' november - 'oh well she won't like that. ' only after all this does she ask what the price range is which is nowhere near what she is assuming we want or hoping we dont want so we leave? We then walk around the ENTIRE store looking for what I KNOW is somewhere - the reasonable section. Which I asked 'is there any in those turnstiles? ' 'oh well it's just gold' we go over and low and behold earrings with small pleasant designs suitable for a working women, that wouldn't have to worry if one got lost, and they have some kind of stone in them as well - I have no idea what because the lady 'didn't even know they were there' she said. So we picked out two pairs coming to a total of $133, as we waited for the transaction and the packing one of the ladies commented that I had a tin of cookies (I was carrying the whole time waiting to give to some one meeting after) and I said yes, they are home made, and she snidely remarked 'oh well none for us then', none of this was funny or pleasent. I NEVER want to go back or give them business again. Not only were they super unhelpful they were rude from start to finish. I don't care if its christmas time or not there is no way they are so busy to be that stuck up and rude to people they have never even met before, it's a joke that they get paid to be there.

Brought a ring in for repair as the band snapped. This was in April, 7 months later now in November I get it back.
The first lady didn't check the size so when they sent it out it came back 3 sizes smaller. And the young attendant tried to get me to agree that this was the right size? I wear it on my thumb and it fit my pinky so I think that's a little off? They remeasured and sent it out again. Get a call a week later that they haven't shipped it out yet because I don't have the warranty on it like I said so I had to read it to them over the phone. I go in again around June and they say that to resize it to the original size it will wreck the integrity of the ring and it will likely snap again. Send out the order for a whole new ring. And I saw them again in November. I didn't get a call that it was ready either. I just had to assume it was ready and go in. My question is why couldn't they do it right in April? This is a ridiculous wait time. They ladies were usually nice over the phone but once in the store they were very rude and made it my fault that it took 7 months? They were not apologetic in the slightest. Go to Ann Lousie or to Charms or really anywhere else. This is not the only jeweler in Calgary by far, quality service over convenience. This place should not be your first choice.

TERRIBLE QUALITY AND SERVICE
Lovely looking ring purchased from Peoples 3-4 years ago. Chip from the ring fell out and we took it in for repair. They want to charge us more than the cost of the ring to repair it, and say that their repair people indicate that the quality of the ring is very poor so all of the claws need to be strengthened. I work in an office. I don't do any manual labor. We have cleaning people who do most of the house work. I don't swim, or do anything else that would create undue wear.

I would most definitely not buy anything from these folks ever again.

Bobbi the manager was extremely helpful and understanding.

My husband and I have bought many items at People's Market Mall in the last two years. We have had the pleasure of incredible help when purchasing different items. That being said, I have had one customer service representative that had no idea what she was doing and got very flustered when I was struggling with what to do. However, she was smart and went to get the help she needed when she realized the request was out of her comfort zone.

I had been given a gift and had been told specific information from the People's Jeweller's in Ontario when I wanted sizing done. They wanted the sale and had told me what I wanted to hear. When I went to the Market mall location I was informed the information I was given was false. I was extremely disappointed and frustrated, however, Bobbi couldn't have been more helpful going through different options and ultimately cared more about me as a long term customer than the immediate frustration. Bobbi, Thank you. Thanks to you we will continue to use the Market Mall location. We really appreciate your help in this matter and all of your store's help in the past.

I wish there was more consistency between People's locations.

Trash, pure and simple. We bought really nice wedding set, had them sized, they came back 2 different sizes, now they don't fit together. Returned them, came back the same as they can't fix it, allegedly,
Terrible customer skills. Not happy with the service. I won't buy jewelry from them or any other people's jewelry store.
Stick to the community jewelry guys, then at least you get the service.
Now we are paying for the repairs at a local gold smith.
PEOPLE'S JEWELERS IS TRASH.

I came in looking for a nice chain to put on my necklace urn for my mom. Naomi and the other ladies in the store gave me great customer service, kindness, knowledge about inventory and went above and beyond for me.
Very happy with my experience especially after visiting other jewellers, and buying the perfect chain for a very special necklace.

I wouldn’t even give them 1 star if anything minus stars! People’s Jewellers has very bad customer service also had lost or stole my chain necklace that I had taken in to get the pendant fixed, the lady who had helped me did not know what she was doing and had to keep asking the other lady what she needed to do when that lady was clearly busy and had already told her 5 times what she had to put it under! When I returned to pick my necklace up once they had fixed it they then told me that I didn’t bring in the chain with the pendant, telling me that I was lying I then told them to check and if it was not found to check the cameras and see that I gave the lady both the pendant and chain they told me they couldn’t look on the cameras and that there were no cameras for that day which is complete b.s they decided to argue with me and constantly tell me that I did not bring in the chain which is very disrespectful and annoying due to us spending over $1000 for that necklace and then having to pay extra to get it fixed because they “needed” to use more gold, no problem with paying for it at all but do not tell me that I am lying especially when I know 110% I gave the chain to them as well as the pendant! They then told us that they are not going to do anything about it because they think I am lying! I am very upset and disappointed with the staff and management and we will never buy anything from there ever again. I do NOT recommend purchasing anything from peoples jewellers what so ever!

Products and prices are great! I came into the store today to replace a necklace chain and find new backings for my wife's black diamond earrings. The necklace chain is for my wife's 1.0 karat black diamond pendant. The set looks amazing, and my wife adores the white gold / black diamond look - very elegant design!

But! What made the experience special today was NAOMI. Thank you to Naomi for absolute superb customer service and laughing at my jokes. I am a customer service professional and manage a call centre for a living. I recognize true service professionals when I see them.

So if you are in the store, seek out NAOMI. She has the skills and talent to make it worth your whole.

We took in 2 gold chains to be repaired in October. Who knows where they sent them, but now, months later, apparently they are on their way back to Calgary not repaired. Extremely poor service.

Ordered online. They told me they encountered a "minor delay" and promised that they would ship the order once the process was done. After long wait, the order was cancelled. Thanks for the great Christmas gift.

If I could rate this location at zero, I would.
Firstly I buy all my jewelry from Peoples, mostly from the Crossiron location. But I figured since I was in the mall I would drop my ring off to be cleaned. It took nearly 20 mins to be acknowledged, while receiving nasty looks from the customer service reps. Once I was acknowledge, I was treated with disrespect and talked down to.
I figured, w.e. And I dropped the ring off anyways.
When picking up the ring, the lady basically yelled at me for not having a receipt.which I didnt not receive in the first place and then continued to talk to me like I was trash.
This place is 100% unacceptable and I will NEVER shop here or bring my jewelry in here again.

Staff are very personable. The Manager remembers my wife and I after helping us months ago. She remembered my wife's tastes and tollerences in style and price.
