Went in for a nail trim for my girl, The groomer I was booked with- Miranda, and the lady working were both super nice and helpful. My dog is nervous with nail trims but Miranda did an amazing job with her! Going to be my go-to groomer from now on Thank you two!

The staff are always very friendly and welcoming,! They did such a wonderful job grooming my cat, I will definitely be going back!

The staff there (smart, friendly and funny sisters) took the time to walk me through their recommendations based on my inquiries about our new poodle. I visited two different times for different reasons and they were able to provide me with more information than I expected. I was very appreciative as it made narrowing down to the best choice, easier. They also suggested external sites/groups to check out.
Grooming: Miranda did a perfect job trimming up our standard. I told her the look/vibe I was going for and she delivered perfectly. He looked so handsome and you could tell he felt good about his new do. She was very patient with him and connected well with all the dogs. Highly recommend her for your grooming needs.

Best place to get bones and snacks for your dog or cat and they have a grooming room there too I would recommend them they do a great job with everything

The staff and groomers at Maple Leaf Pets are wonderful! They are great with our 2 dogs. The dogs absolutely love all of the staff and always look incredible after a groom. I also love supporting an independent, locally owned store.

Miranda is hands down the best dog groomer out there. Been taking my dog since he was a puppy, never had a bad haircut or experience, she always takers time and great attention to detail.

Always so helpful and they really care about the animal you have. I have two cats and they have helped me navigate decisions for food, accessories and everything else. Would recommend them any time, I've been going to them since they were on 17th and don't plan on changing.

Excellent service! The person I spoke to gave lots of great tips about the different products they sell, and about even hacks at home! Great selection, too.

THE BEST GROOMING EXPERIENCE EVER!
We came here on a recommendation from a friend and we can't thank Miranda enough for taking such good care of our dog! Our girl ravioli has had horrible experiences with groomers and is usually very anxious with any groomer. Not only was Miranda able to complete the groom, but she looks fantastic! She was so kind and patient, Ravioli even looked like she had enjoyed her time there now that she is home. THANK YOU!

Great little independently owned shop in Calgary. I went in today with a brand new puppy, the staff working were super friendly, kind and most importantly helpful! Looking forward to checking out the grooming services and continuing to shop there:)

My dog’s co-owner took him here to get groomed on their recommendation for the first time. They’re a long-haired breed, he came back with all his hair clipped. When I called about what happened, they told me it must’ve been a misunderstanding regarding 1 inch (whether it was to take off an inch or cut him at an inch). However, it looks like they took a 1/2 inch guard and clipped him everywhere.

All of his hair is gone. He looks like a different breed.

This is a before and after from today they are amazing and even helped me find some soft treats kind people and asked all the right questions

I highly recommend the grooming here, all of the staff are extremely friendly, capable, and always do such a great job.

Brought my dog in for an 11: 45 grooming, came back at 12: 50 to be told that my dog hadn’t been started on and it will be another 40 minutes. Just under 2 hours for a 45 minute grooming. What’s the point of an appointment? Never coming back.

DO NOT GO HERE! We booked an appointment by phone, but decided to pop in and take a look. There was minimal sanitizer, I had to search for it. The cashier appeared after 5 minutes. Then the groomer came out, and I think she growled at me. We followed her to the grooming area and IMMEDIATELY CANCELED our appointment. The room was filthy and the pens looked unwanted, as did the dogs in them.
Again, AVOID THIS LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Amazing service! The lady at the front kept the place open late for me so I could get my dog a new tag because he was dognapped the day before.
And the lady who did his nails didnt charge me because he was freaking out and she only missed two toes. This place is amazing and I recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants a new pet place

If I could give -5 stars I would. DO NOT take your dogs here for a groom. My dog was roughly handled and has bad hips. Was told by the owner of the store that it "wasn't noted in his file"which is a problem on there staffs end as I stared the groomer in the eyes and said be gentle he has bad hips. And that was chosen to be blatantly ignored by the staff here.
If you can pick a different groomer I would highly recommend NOT going here

Devon (sp?) was incredibly helpful and friendly. I informed them that I was adopting a cat and they helped me pick out all the needed supplies as I was starting from scratch. Overall it was a great experience! I will definitely be back.

I recently had my senior dog groomed here and was told that my dog is no longer welcome to be groomed there because she has an existing condition with her leg that they’re not comfortable with.

Her leg was broken 5+ years ago and set (instead of being amputated) before we rescued her. She gets around as good as any other 14 year old dog, she just can’t put much weight on her leg. I have assured them the previous several times that she’s been there her leg isn’t an issue and that they can’t hurt her because of it.

Hopefully they update their website to say that their staff are incapable of dealing with all dogs. Or, perhaps that their competence level varies depending on whether or not the dog doesn’t have any existing conditions that have little effect on the dog, but might hinder a haircut.

She has been groomed by several other places in the 6 years that we’ve had her, none of them being vets or anyone with specific training. So I call bull on your response and how we were treated.

This is where I get everything for my dogs. The staff are great. Devynn is amazing and always takes the time to help me with whatever I am looking for and answer my questions. The store has a great variety of food, toys, treats and just about anything you need. The groomers are great as well!

The staff, products, and location is fantastic.
However, the reward system where you buy 12 and get 1 free does not work. I buy 2 bags of the same thing every month for the past 2 years.well you do the math.
Recently the total cost of the 2 bags I bought today is different from every other month which was lower. To be questioned the next time I buy.

Fantastic variety in pet toys along with specialty pet food! I was looking for special dietary food for my adorable floof along with a few toys to help keep him active and I got helped out by a wonderful lady by the name of Chelsey; she showed me a really great wet food and new dry food for the kitty along with dry food and treats for the dog. Amazing service and very knowledgeable lady! Answered all my questions and got me all that I needed. I highly recommend this location too as it's super easy to get to.

Very disappointed with overall service. I took my puppy for a bath/grooming session yesterday and the reception was quite nice. The groomer was friendly and asked me what I wanted (bath, clip nails and sanitary grooming). When I came back, there was no one in the entire store. After a couple minutes, the front desk helper showed up on her phone, asked whoever she was speaking to wait a minute and checked on me. She didn't pay much attention to me and as I tried to explain it was our first time having the service and that I have a special discount being a Metropolitan resident, she cut me and asked if I wanted to leave a tip and apparently gave me a wrong discount as I was told the first time grooming would be half-off. On top of that, my puppy was still a bit wet, she was not smelling nice at all and the sanitary grooming was not done. A sad first experience and I do not intend to come back.

We’ve been going to Pet Planet for over a year now to get our little doxie groomed. The staff has always been super warm and welcoming. Fenway got groomed by Miranda for the summer and he looks amazing. His coat was blended well and his nails were trimmed properly. We can’t recommend Pet Planet Connaught enough!

The service here used to be amazing. As of the last few months there has been a decline in customer service at the front desk. It seems even time I call to book a grooming the phone is never answered. It is now taking days before I actually get to book an appointment. As for the appointment booking it's either not entered in the system and I show up to be turned away or they need to reschedule due to a scheduling mistake. When I do speak with someone on the phone they are very short and seem annoyed that they have to do their job. Seriously considering switching groomers. What happened to Andrew? !? !? He was amazing

Best tag you can buy. Safest and most durable in my opinion. Would love to see these offered in different fonts and brass coloring as well.

Through the years I have bought several tags from Pet Planet. Easy order and fast shipping. These tags are the highest quality I have found anywhere.

Great tags for my dogs. I've been ordering for over 15 years with each new family member. Engraving doesn't rub off over time. Quick turnaround and delivery. S hook if not fully closed sometimes loses tag (user error) but with the split ring stays on. Highly recommend.

The best pet grooming experience my mini dachshund has ever had. Miranda and Devon were so accommodating with my nervous dog and I was so surprised how she was able to do my dogs nails without a problem and no muzzle! She is a dog whisperer.

Great Service! Came in on Tuesday March 2nd, 2021, during the day and was helped by a lovely lady who helped me find a collar for my cat and some really cool treats that are locally made. I love helping local. All around I had a great experience and would visit again. This store is also a lot larger than others I have visited, with a wider selection of products.

My fave pet store in Calgary! Great selection, quality products and staff are very friendly and helpful. My kitty is in renal failure and they always ask how he's doing which is so appreciated. Devynn in particular always makes sure I leave with a smile 10/10 highly recommend!

I was in this Pet Planet location about a week ago (ish) and the employee was painting and filing their nails behind their counter/till.first of all I don't want your sparkly polish on any of my items second of all do you have nothing better to do? Will not be returning.

I strongly recommend this place! The staff is incredibly friendly, I was able to take my kitten of 11 weeks old to get his nails trimmed. I believe the lady who trimmed the nails was Miranda, she was incredibly gentle and did an awesome job! Very friendly and I highly recommend Pet Planet. I will definitely be coming back for all of my kitten's needs!

I called this location last Wednesday, looking for a cone for my kitten, who was just spayed. Devon answered my call and immediately started to problem solve for me, as well as provide compassion and the best customer service I have received in a very long time. They sell pet cones but I had no way to pick one up. Devon suggested Uber so we hung up and I started to create an Uber account. Within a couple of minutes, Devon called me back and offered to send the cone in a taxi so I did not have to take the time to create an Uber account. I was so impressed by her compassion and that she took the time to go over and above for me in a time of distress. She called the taxi, my kitten got the cone and I rested easy that night. Thank you Devon. The world needs more people like you!

Great place to get your pet some cool items. This place looks small and hidden in 11th Ave but it is much bigger in the inside!

It's where I go for all my pet supplies, the people working there are great. I will miss this pet store once we move to TO.

I can only speak to the pet grooming services they offer but the lady that does the cats is excellent. Works with the animals with confidence, doesn't need to sedate them and the cost is reasonable. Very happy and I've booked another appointment for the 24th.

Wonderful and friendly staff, with a great variety of products to choose from. We go out of our way to get to our dog food and supplies from here.

Highly recommend the groomer. They got my pup in quickly after 2 cancellations by my previous groomer. I have a westie, like the body clipped close all over as we are active outdoors but still want the westie shaped head and face. My pup's cut is perfect! Extremely happy and I will definitely be back

I brought my dog here for grooming this week - Miranda and Jasmine were so lovely and welcoming to both me and Blu! They clearly love their four-legged clients and the haircut cut was fantastic! Thanks for helping me make all of the grooming decisions - Blu is ready for vacation!

They're always super nice here! Prices on Orijin are great. Seems like prices for everything are fair and they don't seem to carry any junk. This is our go-to store.
