Pet Planet Jasper Gates

It was a humble pet store and the place had a nice ambiance too. It was even relaxing to shop here. I found nice and interesting items but their canned goods were definitely the ones that got my attention since I need to purchase more foods for my pets. It was a nice store, which I am certain of.

After getting a new puppy we asked around and heard that Jasper gates Pet Planet had a very good groomer.
Lauren was great and we learned lots talking with her and our puppy looked wonderful

Love shopping here! It’s a convenient location for me, and the staff are very kind and helpful. That said, I’d leave a lower rating for grooming. I know quite a few people (and their dogs) who love this groomer. She must be great with other dogs. Not so good with my fearful puppy (or his owner).

Purchased a few things here today, Jan 26,2021. I asked for help and was very specific that I wanted something safe for puppies to chew. When we returned to the car, my partner went into starbucks so I gave the dog her bone. Within 5 minutes she had fractured two teeth.
I’m now at the vet waiting for an assessment. Last thing I needed today.

This store is great most of the time for quality cat food and quality products. The owner is very good to her clients who shop there regularly. But it is really too bad as when we did have to call their head office we dealt
with an Elaine Leach who was really not supportive of this franchise. She made promises re: free cat food because of difficulty in this store. Never followed through. Her remarks about this franchise were disparaging and we just felt that if this person supposedly in management could not support this company's franchises we could not support this store. We did go elsewhere to another pet store Mayfield and we are delighted. Workers always go the extra mile to help their customers. Free samples are given freely and they did replace free cat food that Pet Planet would not. It is so much nicer to see happy workers who really care about customers. They always call their head office with questions and are treated with respect. After all I quote "Pets are a big part of families who
care"We try to show same care" This speaks volumes!

I called late in the day to get our pup's nails trimmed, and they were able to squeeze us in, which I greatly appreciate. Once I arrived the staff were very kind, and great with our dog. He was a little excited, but they were able to get his nails trimmed without issue. They also had a great selection of treats, even some locally made dog treats. If you want to keep Alberta strong, shopping at places like this is a great way to wield your economic power to that end. By shopping here you support AB employees, AB small business, and an AB-based franchise. We had a great experience here, and look forward to shopping here again in the future. Highly recommended.

On Thursdays, they have 15% off all treats. The treats my pup likes are locally sourced branded by Pet Planet. It was explained to me how they review all supplier and third party suppliers to ensure they provide quality pet food. The prices are decent so I will be going there for treats and food from now on. Service was great too!

Another phenomenal experience! Wonderful staff, excellent selection in products for my pup, but most of all, unbelievably suburb dog grooming services. Lauren (I hope I spelled that correctly) is so caring and her gentle demeanor puts my nervous pup at ease every time. I couldn't ask for anything better. Thank you again, Pet Planet, you guys are terrific in every way!

I take my dog here for his grooming. By far the best place and staff. I live 20 min away from this place and always make the trip. 100% recommend.
