Pet Valu

It’s really unfortunate that while certain manufacturers guarantee their product (dog food), Pet Valu will only give you store credit for an item that’s been opened. Many other pet stores stand by the satisfaction guarantee with an actual refund. Those will be the only stores receiving my business moving forward.

Due to an experience several years ago with the manager of this location (not sure if she still works there), and many other issues, I will never come here again. I was traumatized by this staff member and by this corporation. That being said I am taking some of my power back by leaving this review. Pet Valu does not care about its staff or people in general they care about money and what's easy for them i.e. Treating people like replaceable robots.

I had 24 hours’ notice before bringing a puppy home, and as a first-time dog owner I didn’t know where to begin.

Elise at Pet Valu was a GODSEND. She walked me through the store to help me find all the essentials, never pressuring me to make a decision or to go outside my budget. Her recommendations were also spot on. The octopus toy she suggested has been puppy’s favourite and he hasn’t stopped snuggling it since he came home. (See pics!)

I felt so reassured after my visit and I know I’ll definitely return to Pet Valu - and this location - in the future.

Also - the new pet guide book and coupons are an amazing bonus!

This was my first time coming to this store… I need to pick my fur baby some treats … some of the staff was friendly but I did not appreciate two of staff members stocking shelves to be laughing and saying rude things about a customer… maybe some customers skills training will help them … I’m animal lover and I was asking about the cat for adoption one staff was helpful but the other was rude… at this location you are aloud to hold the cat …
Please note wearing mask doesn’t protect you from getting sick and the staff was wearing it wrong… someone needs training her…

Ive found this store and its employees to be very accommodating. Ive been layed up as of late and they are always happy to help out in any way they can.

Definitely by far very impressive cat trees couldn’t find any store in Calgary with one 8.5ft tall thank you very much

Had the best experience here shopping for food & supplies as a first time cat owner. Staff were extremely helpful and gave us advice on many topics. Will definitely be going back!

Nice little store, friendly staff, convenient spot close to other useful places like save on foods.

Staff were okay nothing special. They don't have a lot for birds, so if you're looking to get something new to treat your bird babies, try another pet store.
