Petro-Canada & Car Wash

Horrible Car Wash! Do not waste your money! Even worse than the car wash is the customer service! Refused to allow me a rewash despite showing them what their car wash brushes left on my car!

I have been coming here for about a decade, getting gas, car washes and snacks. Today when I walked up I noticed a SUV with no handicap signage in the handicap parking spot. When I mentioned it to the staff, the guy smiled like it was a joke. Do something I said to the guy who continued to smile.

My aunt spent 30 years in a chair, the founder of the company I worked at was in a walker. Those spots allowed them to access places of business. They depended on staff saying “can you please move, this spot is for people with reduced mobility. ”

Smiling is not an appropriate response and thus today you lost a 10 year customer. There are other options for gas stations on my route.

On July 22,2022 I went for my regular carwash at the Petro Canada at 16435 97st in Edmonton. All was going well during the wash cycle until somehow the conveyor belt would not push me out of the carwash like it usually does. When the green light comes on the normal process is to put your vehicle in drive and proceed out of the carwash. However, on this occasion when I proceeded to put our truck into drive nothing happened. The conveyor kept pushing me out however, for some reason I couldn't drive out as if maybe my wheels were spinning or felt like I was stuck. I placed the truck back into neutral in hopes of preventing any damage to the carwash or my vehicle. What actually happened was the conveyor belt pushed the back end of our vehicle into the doorway of the carwash and made contact causing $3000 damage to my vehicle. I proceeded to make the attendant aware of the accident. He then had me fill out a carwash incident report and would have to wait until the next week for a response as the manager was unavailable that day. A few days after the weekend the manager contacted me and informed me that Petro Canada would contact me once their claims team reviewed the camera footage to see how they would proceed with the incident report. A few more days later I was contacted by Petro Canada's insurance company and was told this was my fault and would not be responsible for the damage. Since then I filed a police report and contacted our insurance company and was told they would not proceed any further with this claim.

I don't understand to this day how this was my fault and was not compensated in anyway. I have been a customer of Petro Canada since approximately 1990 and have been using their carwashes at various locations in many different cities. Due to the way this was handled I will think twice next time before ever returning to Petro Canada as a customer.

They sold me a car wash card and the car wash was closed. When I went back in they said it would be at least 30 minutes before it was open. This was at 1pm so I am not sure why the wash would be closed. A heads up that the wash was closed would have been the proper thing to do.

Not open 24 hours. Walked 8 blocks to get food and drinks at 11 pm and doors are locked and sales associate talks to you thru a intercom. Just left and went to Fatburger and Shoppers instead. If you need drinks or anything during the night theres a seven eleven down the street

Stopped in today for a gas fill up. Used the self service option so not much to really judge here. It easy to get into this gas station off 97 street. Easy to get out also. You have to a car wash, gas, diesel, little convienvce store and an A & W. If you need gas. I guess you this use this gas station. Also close to the henday and many other businesses on the north side of the city

I bought the car wash tickets on the 50% sale and just wanted to give it a shot, however, not satisfied at all. It leaves oranges stains on the car and you basically need to spend another 15 to 20 mins to dry the car. Not sure if the brushes would scratch the color either. Unfortunately unhappy!

There is a very rude and sad shopkeeper here Kawal is his name. Never going to this place again. Also ignorant!

Nothing bad about Petro
A&W: I asked for a Sprite without ice and got a rootbeer that was 3/4 full without ice in it. Yall cant even fill in the extra quarter? I would have been better off getting a sippy cup of pop.

Some of the staff are great.very clean place and a Great A&W there, a lil slow but good food.

The Lady on cash desk was really helpful, the car wash was one of the best I ever seen, got my vehicle pretty cleaned up. If you live in the area you should check it out.

Self serve gas bar. Had a gift card which I redeemed here and their price was cheaper than Costco. Friendly staff member who helped me as I didn't know how to scan my Petro card which is on my device (you can't do this), and also redeem gift card. This place almond has the A&W inside the store but didn't eat there.
