The first grooming was really good but the second time around was just horrible in my experience. I do understand my dog is not crate fully trained but cries when he gets felt alone at the crate, I get that. But we had an appointment at 12: 30pm and yes I do understand that it might take a while but he took 4 hours until close until my dog was done getting groomed and the trimmed wasn’t as good as the first one. The fact that I felt like he was done last despite of having an appointment at 12: 30pm. I have went to other grooming service and he was done by at least two hours… and I even paid extra for another person to helped him groomed at this place. For sure not going back to this location.

Always friendly, always helpful. Didn't have many cat harness options which sent me elsewhere. Can be a little pricey at times. But their sales make up for it.

I have been breeding fish and crayfish for over 6yrs and I believe I have adequate knowledge about them.
However every time I visit PetSmart (applies to all locations) they question about conditions of my aquarium and will comment about what to get and what not.
I understand that they are trained to do so to make sure most fish settle in environment they deserve.
But the employees should not interfere with what customers can or cannot breed without understanding the full situation.
Other than that most of the employees are very nice and friendly and the merchandises are in good shape.

Booked an appointment today for 2: 30. Haven't even started at 4: 30. "They are really busy, will get to my dog when it is his turn. " what is the point of "an appointment "? My husband took the dog home ungroomed. Never again.

Absolutely rude staff! And managers! Do not shop here. I had needed help finding a product. Finally found a staff. Walked to the isle pointed and walked away as I was talking. Found the rude staff person told him I had questions, price being one of them. He walks over points at the price and walked away again. Without answering any questions! Called the manager and he didn't care. Absolutely do not shop here if you need help! I have spent thousands there and will not give them another dime!

Amazing customer service and 60 day return policy. The price on lightweight litter was incredible. Def my pet shop from now on!

The staff at the chinook location are great and will always do their best for you and your pets.

I was so disappointed with the grooming salon. I’ve taken my dogs for grooming to Petsmart for years. I was in a rush and this was the only location fairly close to me that had a time that worked. I have two shitszu-Pomeranians and wanted to be fluffy for my wedding. I was advised that the difference would be much but I was expecting the sanitary parts to be trimmed and shaved. When I picked them up they were cute and jumping so it’s hard to see anything. When I got home it seemed that they forgot to shave and trim them. Nails were missing to be cut, their hair between the eyes was not cut, knots on the belly and sanitary parts not shaved/cut.

I have them a review and they pretty much said well sorry you didn’t like it. I had to ask if I could bring them for a touch up once I couldn’t look at my dogs without feeling ripped off.

I asked if I could bring them to another location closer to me they said they would put a note on their file.

I took them to the Sunridge location and they were really nice and squeezed my dog in for some trimming. She did say that it did look like the last groomers completely missed those parts including grooming the belly.
She end up charging me for it ($20) on top of all I had paid already at this location. I just paid cause in the end was not their fault in the other hand I am NEVER bringing my dogs back to THIS location.
I felt ripped off and it felt like they were making me a favor to groom my dogs. As if I was not paying for it.

This has been by far the worst place I have ever taken my animals. The groomers are rude and don't do their job, yet charge full price for half the work. I had called and complained after my dog was traumatized and was shedding more then he was when we took him in. All they said was they would put a free cut and wash on my account. Went to use it and they didn't even do that. I will never come back, nor will i recommend this place to anyone I know. Absolutely horrible

A nice pet store with a solid selection of pets to adopt, and the required food, equipment and toys for those pets.

It's alright. Its dingy, they dont have much to sell, always out of stock on everything, but the staff are nice

The store is fine and staff are friendly. Had a poor experience taking my puppy in to be groomed. First time I called and the rep booked the wrong type of appointment then I had to wait another week to get him in for the correct appointment.

He’s a five pound cockapoo and currently with no bottom teeth as they’ve all fallen out. 20 minutes after dropping him off got a call that he bit the groomer and ‘there was blood’. I believe the situation was dramatized considering how young and small he is. If she had even garden gloves on this would have been avoided. You work with dogs.you should expect them to occasionally be jumpy/ nervous and react that way. Disappointed they didn’t give my puppy a couple minutes to settle down and try again. Again another solution rather then calling it quits. Being his first visit they should have been understanding and handled it more professionally.

Went to buy some fishes. Lots of great selection for beginners in the hobby. Employees are great!

Ljubica is slooooowww. I always avoid her when there's an option for a different person to check my items out. If there is not, there is always a backlog of people, compared to when I see others doing the register alone. It's not that she's physically incapable of being faster. She just likes taking her time I guess. If you're not looking to get anywhere soon, she's the way to go.

Called them for a price. After going through the automated system and asking her questions she answered and then told me to go check online for the price. If I had time for that, I would of before. If I make effort to call. Please don’t tell me to check online

Hayley is the only one I've met at petsmart with a brain cell.

I've been going there two years, for aquarium supplies and I often hear them giving out false information and I've seen them sell plants covered in cyanobacteria to novices. I explained to one guy why he shouldn't buy that plant covered in it and the girl working there was completely dumbfounded and had no idea what that was. (In fairness, she was open to learning about it but she should've been trained already)
Like I said I've been going there 2 years but not collecting points because the woman set it up wrong. I kept buying things but the prices never matched the tags, two years later it took Hayley 10 secs to notice the problem and rectify it. Good for her but how was it not noticed sooner, two whole years of spending money there!?
I had a nightmare on the telephone as well but I've complained enough. The straw that broke the camel's back was today when after being hung up on the first time, I asked the guy a question, he put me on hold for 5 mins, then he picked the phone back up and said "Chinook petsmart, how can I help you? "

Cheaper than other places but REALLY incompetent staff. I've finally given up and I'm just paying more to go to more local fish store downtown.

Now it all staff member was arguing with me over fish safety when I even showed her all the facts on a trusted site! Wont return to this location

Waaaaay better then Petland. Tons of jackets and hoodies and pajamas for the pooches. Great specials and sales prices. More bedding. Cant believe I dont come here more. Super happy Southcenter has a new one

I booked my elderly dog in for a groom and not even a half hour later called us to come pick him up because he is ungroomable. He is the most well behaved dog you could imagine with a little joint pain in his paws. They weren't willing to make any effort or accomadation for him whatsoever. Just come pick him up. The grooming manager was completely rude and anywhere else she would be fired. You need someone in that position to be somewhat compassionate because after all animals are very precious to their owners.
Upon my arrival the girls in the Salon were all snickering away. Shame on you all!

Currently, this pet store is open later than others. It really helps us pet owners that work day time hours and can't get to a store right after.

Bought big bone for my dog a while back. He got sick and stomach infection. I thought it was something else. Then got the bone again a few months later, same thing! Confirmed. DO NOT BUY DINO BONES AT THIS STORE. UNLESS U WANT UR DOG TO GET SICK AND PAY LOTS OF MONEY FOR MEDICAL BILLS.

Staff are very friendly, but are not knowledgeable about proper care of pets other than cats and dogs.

I recently bought my dream dog and have been a regular at this store. All the staff that I have communicated with so far have been superb and very helpful in educating me about their products. They all seem very unbiased about their own products and are friendly.

They sold us a cat that had mold, yeast and bacteria growing in his ears. It has affected his balance. Poor kitty that it wasnt caught sooner.

I always go here for horn worms and other reptile items. I also sometimes buy cat food here. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We recently took our Leonberger here and he came back absolutely beautiful, silky, shiny and clean. Ashley did a fantastic job!

Pup training here was great! Sometimes hard to find things but staff are more than willing to help. Little overpriced for grooming but that's not unusual

The products I need are always in stock. Grouchy staff, to.some degree. They arent rude, just have zero person personability skills.

I find some workers in the fish department try to avoid u when you go in there. Sometimes I have to stare them down or do somth oj ng to get their attention. Their prices for fish are pretty good. But I wish they had a better selection of live plants. Amd the plants they do have are way over priced. One girl told me she knew everything about fish. So when I got a male amd female platy she didn't know how to tell them apart from male to female
Then told me I should have about 7 of them together. So was a bit comcered about were ahead got her knowledge from. So I thought her. But she was sweet and friendly.

What's up with the lack of hermit crab knowledge and why does nobody care that they improperly care for the poor little guys who are literally defenseless. It's inhumane.

No healthy pet food to be found in this store. However, a good place to adopt a rescue cat or buy accessories.

The lady with light brown hair who deals with the fish etc is so nice! She answered all my questions, and there were a lot. 10/10 would go here again

Easy layout. Wide variety of cat food and litter which we like. Nice staff. I feel they should have more tills open as it can get quite busy. Have yet to figure out when this store has its quiet moments lol

I have been shopping at this store location since it was opened. But won't be returning after my last visit. I had recently purchased an automatic food dispenser for my cats. And when I got home to open the box I found the dispenser to have food residue all over the machine. Plus, their was batteries in the machine (which they don't come with- you have to purchase separately). It even showed that it had gone through 97 food cycles. I was appalled and very disappointed with this find. Does Petsmart sell used products? Or are they not checking returns throughly and just placing items back on the shelf? So I brought my concerns to their store supervisors attention. He rolled his eyes and offered no solutions, no replacements or apologies for this situation. I asked for a refund, when the cashier suggested I try the same food dispenser from the dog section.the price was $20 more because it was larger in size. I asked if the store had a manager I could speak to see if I could get an exchange and have the $20 waived. I was frustrated with the supervisor and his incompetence. The Manager came out and returned my money, and offered a 50% sale on the larger food dispenser.he was visibly unhappy to help and avoided eye contact with me.

Went in to buy a temporary birdcage for a cockatiel. They had a decent selection but the prices were all over the map, like $35 for one and $130 for another that was nearly identical. Asked a friendly sales associate for advice but they didn't really seem to know anything, just what was written on the front of the box (understandable, an 18 year old isn't going to have a working knowledge of all types and breeds of pet). Well, I bought a cage, which is a good home for the bird and was on sale for a decent price, but when I got home and opened the box, there was dried bird poop on one of the perches, and the cage had obviously been assembled once already. It was too far to go back to the store, and I needed a cage, so I cleaned it instead of returning it. Pretty disgusting though. Obviously when talking returns, the staff doesn't even look at the product, just puts it back on the shelf.

This store is definitely stocked full of food, treats and accessories for your dogs and cats. The prices are very competitive and tend to be on the lower end. They also have lots of weekly specials. Unfortunately their selections for small animals is fairly limited. Luckily they have good prices and bulk sizes for hay.

I was there today. I noticed the employee near the hamsters that one of the Syrian hamsters was biting and clawing at the corner of their small enclosure. I also told her if she doesn't know, that's a sign of anxiety and they should be in much larger enclosures and for sure they should be alone. The highly uneducated sales representative told me that I shouldn't worry about, and that if they had the space in the store they would keep them alone. I will never be shopping here again. Not only were there merchandise carts blocking shelves and stopping me from getting what I needed, the sales associate had no respect and no intelligence about the hamsters who I saw were being tortured in tiny enclosures together. Unacceptable treatment! I can't believe they are trying to sell animals like that who are clearly stressed and in pain of such a small enclosure. Also, the wheels for hamsters to spin and exercise were too small for the hamsters they had. Boycott this place as their animals are slowly dying miserable deaths and the associates couldn't care less about their pain and suffering.

Staff are knowledgeable, and friendly. I’ve noticed the quality of care for their reptiles has increased over the last while. Prices are pretty awesome too. Their stock of horned worms could be better for the price they’re asking

My boyfriend went to get my 10 month old puppy's nails trimmed today, along with a teeth cleaning, and had a much worse experience than the last time I brought her here. The lady that he dealt with today wouldn't even finish her nail clipping because our puppy 'wouldn't stay still'. It really just seemed like she didn't want to deal with our dog, which is a waste of our time. He ended up taking our pup to a different groomer, who had our pups nails clipped in less than 5 minutes!
No problems with this PetSmart either than what happened today. She may just be having a bad day, but still no excuse for less than good customer service.

Well we had some PetSmart gift cards my girlfriend got for Christmas, and decided to check out what they had to offer at the Chinook location. I saw the "Treat" reward system and decided to sign up. Ended up costing 12.99 for a box of cat litter. We ended up getting 5 of them, with the club discount the 5th one, and some change, were free essentially. We also got a rope post that the little bro seems to like, and a very durable fish pole feather toy that
The other one loves. Great reward system. Lastly, the staff even went up to the top with a fork lift just to get us box #5. Definitely going back!
