Had a great dinner with friends here last night. The owner is very sweet and helpful, providing recommendations and checking-in. All the food items we tried were delicious and portions were large. Everything was very tasteful, well prepared and we had a wonderful experience. There was 5 of us and we all left very full and satisfied! Highly recommended.

This was a great experience. We came here for Thanksgiving having never had Egyptian food before. The chef explained the menu thoroughly and gave our table recommendations. Everything was delicious, the babaganouj was stellar, the lamb was fantastic, and the desserts were nice and not overly sweet.
My mom was convinced to try a blend of beef and lamb despite her aversion to the latter, and really enjoyed it!
They ended up being fairly busy for a small restaurant with a small number of staff and we ordered a lot, the wait for some of the items was worth it!
The chef is very humble, she asked for any suggestions on how to improve the experience but really, I think they went above and beyond. Great, personable service! It's like being in someone's home!

Overall we enjoyed our meal here. The service was very good and the two staff members we spoke with were both super friendly. I wish they would have checked on us during the meal since we could have used refills for our water.

We tried the chicken Jawook which was quite good. It came with a small salad, rice, and a very nice sauce. Although everything tasted good I do think that $24.99 was quite high for the size. We also tried the brunch special that comes with 3 falafel, salad, eggplant, pita bread and a "stew" which I forget the name. The eggplant was fantastic and the stew really good. Lots of good flavours and at $15.99 that was a good size and price.

The food was wonderful, the flavours excellent and the owners were such lovely welcoming people! We will be back!

If you want good food and good customer service this is the place to be. The food was so great and the service was even greater. Loved the whole experience.

The place was very cozy and artistic. The portions were good and filled you up nicely. Everything tasted amazing especially the Kushari and the kebab. The staff were very friendly and sweet. Overall 10/10 experience. Highly recommend if your looking for a great vibe.

The food was delicious. We got quite a few dishes because we were excited to try. The moammer rice was so good. The mousaka delicious! Fresh and flavourful. Very friendly service. Would definitely come again!

I took my family to there for dinner yesterday and we met Catherine the owner, she is so amazing personality and so warm. The atmosphere so cozy and traditionally. The most amazing experience we experienced yesterday is the food and the portion is more than enough, the taste is so yummy and she has so variety of food there. Chicken, meat and vegan people will be enjoyed the food there. I strongly recommend the restaurant for all my friends, family and coworkers and all Edmontonians from all backgrounds to enjoy the experience there. Good job Cathrine!

I was excited to try out this place and was not disappointed! If anything I was surprised at how good the food was. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. I had the mombar, dolma, moussaka, muammer rice, and mixed skewers. This was not all for me, I shared:). Anyway, it was all so amazing and I am properly full. There was a side salad that was even amazing. The dressing was so tasty. I'm having a hard time pinning down what my favorite part of the meal was. I have never had muammer rice before, it was very good. The moussaka, sooo good. The kofta was probably my favorite out of all the meats. Service was good, they were friendly. It's a very comfortable atmosphere, I felt very much at home. I'm looking forward to trying more things there, and hopefully next time I'll have room for dessert.

Amazing food. We had the Baba Ganooj, Kofta, Alexandria Sausage plus coffee/tea and dessert. Everything was fantastic. Instantly in my top 5 restaurants in all of Edmonton.

These people are thieves and will steal your money after telling you a price. Worst experience. Stay away. My bill was 46.16 and they made me pay 54.00 for hidden fees. Do not go here. Karma will repay them with their lack of business.
My family will never eat in this big sty restaurant again because these people are liars and thieves. The receipt said 46.16 and these people charge me over 54.00 on the interact machine. When the total price that was agreed too was just over $32.00. My father says I have just received the Egyptian experience as he had when he travelled in that country. Make sure you hold on to your wallet and write a contract out before you order from there. The thieves. There was no gratuity button on the interact machine. Anyone going there pay cash. These people are scammers.

Authentic Egyptian food, everything we tried was amazingly delicious and the owners Catherine and Ibrahim were super friendly and welcoming.
Give it a try you definitely won’t regret it.

Wow, everyone deserves to experience what we did, the food. *chef's kiss* incredible.
I had heard many times of baba ghanoush but today I finally tried it, it was better than I thought, specially because it was not store bought but they make it themselves I'm sure, you can see/feel it and it was delicious, then we ordered the Kofta and I think it was the Tajern okra with Lamb shank, I had the Kofta and even the rice was good, the meat very nicely seasoned and delicious, the Tajern was a generous portion, comes with a separate order of rice. We were full by then but we had already decided we wanted to try some authentic desserts too and we had the Konafa and the Om Ali. I'm gonna have dreams with the Om Ali, I wanna marry to it and.well you get the idea, how good it was, good doesn't cut it, it was AMAZING. Service was great, lady was helpful, cordial and very nice to talk to as well, ready to answer any questions anyone could have. Definitely going back and people need to try this authentic Egyptian restaurant, seriously.

My boyfriend and I walked into this restaurant by chance and were pleasantly surprised! The staff was incredibly friendly and we felt at home, it was our first time trying Egyptian food and the experience was incredible, we were guided and advised on the dishes, the food was very tasty and healthy, incredible experience, thank you so much, we will definitely come again!

Delicious food but what really made it an amazing experience was how kind and friendly the owners are. They have such pride in their culture and their food and they made the experience amazing. We will absolutely return!

Me and my family went there 2 weeks ago. We got 3 Egyptian plates, quail, mahshi, barbecue lamb with rice and salad.
Food was so yummy, seasoned and fresh.
The owner and whole family were so friendly and had a wide smile all the time.
Very good service and reasonable price.

I went to Pharaoh's last night with a group of friends and was not disappointed. From the moment we walked in we were welcomed with a kind of warmth that is rare to find. We had the restaurant to ourselves and spent a lot of time chatting with the owners. I can't overstate how good the good was, and the owners took the time with us to make fantastic suggestions. I hesitate writing a review only because it feels like one of the best kept secrets on the Edmonton food scene. 8 out of 5 stars, will be going back, would enthusiastically recommend to friends. Thanks for having us!
