When we went all their card machines were down. My friend didn't buy anything because of this. I ended up paying eventually but was quite inconvenient

The service is very good and friendly. However, the almond croissant is very oily and soggy, also the coffee is luke warm but the service is good and the barista tried to make a new one which was still not as hot as other cafe.

I love this place. Its one of my "go to" coffee shops on 17th Ave. Analog is the other. Analog is a little busier, bigger and "trendier seeming" on the outside. Philosfy is a smaller, quieter, Artsy "niche" with a "book nook". Great selection of prescient reads. It has a lovely calming vibe and some really cool local art on the walls. Coffee is great and the food that I've eaten there has always been fresh. The staff is super friendly and helpful.this place is awesome.

The BEST iced matcha in the city! Iced lavender london fog is also super yummy! Absolutely obsessed with this cute cafe, especially the vibes in the evening and the friendliest baristas ever?

Will swing by again. I only popped in to grab cappuccinos, but I was struck by how friendly the service was. The cappuccinos were wonderful too! And very well priced.

Great spot, consistently fantastic coffee. They have amazing pastry now, I love the banana croissant and blueberry danish.

I was looking for a coffee shop in the area and choose this one to try based on the good-rate, arrived before 5 pm and food was completely empty, as you can zoom the front door photo and see it. I couldn't believe it, very disappointing, based on the fact that they were closing at 8 pm that day.

The coffee is just normal (cappuccino tasted like latte and was toooo milky), as for me there are better options in Calgary

My friend told me that this place is really good. So I decided to visit the place because I am a coffee lover. The drinks are tasty and consistently made. The cafe is relaxing with plenty of seating. The food is great For a quick snack. Puts a smile on my face. I will recommend this place.

We stopped in here after eating at Trolley 5 for a quick cup of coffee before heading back out on our road trip. My husband had his usual latte, but I decided to try the white mocha with beet juice. Not being from the area, I don't know if this drink is seasonal or on regular rotation, but it was delicious! This place is so cute, and the staff so friendly, that if I lived closer I'd be here all the time.

The picture of my Macha Latte says everything. Tip: when asked what size of cup you want, you ask back what’s the best for them to make the art:)

The coffee was extremely bitter and tasted burnt. I got an iced cold brew with an espresso shot, my friend got an Americano.

I spent 26$ on two coffees and two pastries. That's pretty ridiculous in my opinion.

The redeeming quality was the breakfast croissant. I don't know if they make them in house or something but that was a nice pastry.

The atmosphere is amazing and they have decent coffee there. I would’ve given a 5 star if the barista didn’t pretend to know what a cortado is and serve me a cappuccino as a cortado.

Staff are friendly. Sometimes I come here to just sit around. Lots of space. Washrooms are clean. Drinks are made fast even when there’s a line up.

A decent place to sit down, have some casual business discussion with colleagues. The staff is really courteous. Would recommend their dirty chai.

Great place, kind staff and some interesting books to read. A nice little place to relax with a nice cup of coffee.

Philosaphy café is definitely the best café on 17th Ave.unpretentious yet so cool and the staff are unbelievably nice and very talented as you can see from the picture below I'm sold I'll go there every time!

Service is great, the internet wifi here is awful. Disconnects literally all the time. They need to fix this. Not my device. Definitely not my devices

Awesome Americano decaf! Ambiance is casual yet warm. Service is polite and quick. The price is high which is while understandable due to central location, will not make it my everyday coffee shop.

The coffee was good, but we also drank london fog which wasn’t good at all!
The prices are too high, and the café is usually crowded.

Really good little cafe! They were quick with service and the little designs on your drink are super cute! Just wish they had some pastries or treats to enjoy as well!

Really friendly staff and awesome environment to relax and enjoy a cup of coffee. I would advice everyone to try their London Fog at least once. Keep up the great service!

One of the best and MOST BEAUTIFUL hot chocolates I've ever had. It was rich and creamy, obviously handcrafted with care. The wifi here is also notably strong, even when this is something which most other coffee shops skimp on. I also recommend their cheese croissant if they have them. They're buttery and flakey; everything you would ever want a perfect croissant to be!

Great vibe in the place, the coffee is quite pleasant but not overtly better than any other place. Service is hit or miss when it comes to speed.

Friendly. They keep their beans on the bookshelves open to the public - hope they aren't the same ones they brew with! Slightly expensive.

Great interior, cool crowd, clean and tidy. Their espresso is awful, these people obviously have no clue what coffee is. Otherwise very nice place, will come again to try some tea!
Update: my espresso was actually way too acidic and a little too bitter - to the point of being not drinkable. That may well be none of your fault, but of those "best barista in Canada who also won 3rd place in the world barista championship the year before"

It's one of my favorite coffee shops of all the ones I have been to, it has a cozy atmosphere, friendly staff and great drinks and food.
