A large bowl of pho with 2 piece of oxtails for $20 without any taste of pho. A large bowl of curry chicken for $18 with hardly any chicken. Bye

Definitely in the top 3 of my pho places that I go. Food has never disappointed me here and the quality of the pho has always stayed the same.

Ordered gluten free spring rolls last night that were burnt halfway through. I made a point of turning mine upside down so you could see how burnt through it was and there wasn't even a question asked.

The food used to be really good, but it's been a bit disappointing lately, I assume there's a new cook or something cutting corners or getting overwhelmed because previous experiences there have been great.

Service is still too notch and the ladies were always cheerful to their customers! First time trying their Pho Beef Ribs. It’s my favourite pho from now on! Next time i’ll ask for the spicy sate soup with bone marrow for the perfect pho beef rib experience!

So many vietnamese restaurants in the city but this is one of the top tier! They have a great selection of pho and vermicelli bowls. I forgot what I ordered but it is Pho #17. It’s so good and spicy. I also ordered bone marrow w/ toast on the side. It’s buttery and taste better when you put the other half in the soup. Lastly, I tried their order coffee with condensed milk which was really delicious and satisfying after a warm soup. Though it’s kinda expensive considering they put 3/4 of Ice. Will be back for sure for future pho cravings

Pho was mediocre. The beef carpaccio wasn’t good. We ordered 2 bowls of Pho but only one tiny portion of bean sprouts enough for one bowl because of we sat on same table. If you ask for another portion for the 2nd bowl they charge extra. The ha noi coffee was way too sweet, can only drink 1/3. Supposed to be foam egg but it was more like caramel. Wasn’t going to write a review but rather give the girl a feedback to improve but her response was “so you think there should be a plate of bean sprouts for every bowl of Pho? ”

We wanted to try this place as we've heard a lot of hype about it, and love peanut sate pho.

We went around 1 p.m. And it was quite full inside, and almost impossible to find parking in the busy strip mall lot!

We ordered a small and a large peanut sate pho; the service was pretty quick and friendly. The pho arrived with very hot broth that stayed hot the whole way through eating. It also had perfectly cooked noodles.

It felt like they were very light on the amount of broth in the bowls - there was at least an extra 2 or more inches of head space. It was still very filling, it just felt like we weren't getting our money's worth! It is definitely way pricier for a bowl of pho here than many other spots, and smaller bowls.

The sate was very spicy and had good flavour, but no chunks of peanut.

Overall, it felt like they are trying to be a trendier, more non-traditional vietnamese spot. There was pop music playing rather than traditional vietnamese music, and standard restaurant menus rather than the usual "write down what you want" and tear off order sheets. It definitely felt more like a typical restaurant than a pho house.

It was a good bowl of pho and I would probably eat here again, but I feel all in all it is somewhat over-hyped.

The sate Pho at Pho Dau Bo is second to none here in Calgary or anywhere I have eaten Vietnamese tbh. Seriously, the broth is out of this world. The spring rolls are also always hot and delicious and the service has always been great. I have been lucky to be going here for over ten years and can't wait to try their brand new restaurant on 16th and centre called Mot To.

I ordered take out: pho beef ribs and the description was "Fall-off-the-bone beef ribs and special dipping sauce", however it didn't come with dipping sauce so I was kind of disappointed. But I'll say the food is overall pretty good.

Seriously can't recommend this place enough! My family's been coming here for at least five years and every time the food's been great. Sauté broth is to die for! Cannot stress how phenomenal the staff are too! Seen some of them work here for a while and everyone's always fast and super nice n friendly! Pretty far from our house but going here every few months is always an absolute treat!

Best pho on 17ave! Pho sate oxtail is the best here. They give u a dipping sauce which is good.

Try the Bo tai Chanh the vignette sauce that the beef was sitting isn’t to my liking better at song huong

Try there coffee with some kind of egg yolk in it coffee was so bitter. You need to like black coffee that all I’m saying.

Would come back again when I’m in the area

Visited this place on a Saturday evening after multiple recommendations from friends and the Facebook food page. Right off the bat, we noticed that the service was not the best. However, that was okay because we came for the food and we understand it’s the weekend. We ordered a beef carpaccio and two noodle soups. The carpaccio took about 23 minutes to come, which at that point we were already really hungry. The pho took an additional 20 minutes to come, meaning it took about 45 minutes from the time of ordering to arrive at our table. At some point we were both ready to get up to leave, watching tables around us get their food before us. The food, however, was quite delicious and flavourful. Took three stars off due to the service and wait times. It would’ve been greatly appreciated if the servers had stopped by at some point to let us know that our food was coming, or a “thank you for your patience” when the pho finally arrived. But no, we couldn’t even get proper eye contact from the staff. We will come back and give it one more try though, perhaps on a weekday because seeing other reviews, today seemed like a one off from their usual exceptional service.

Amazing Vietnamese, really authentic. Haven’t had pho that good since we were in Vietnam. Well worth a visit and good prices

Visited Calgary the last 2 years on our way to a few mountains out west. We are from Toronto and have PDB locations here, but this is always our go -to in Calgary and has better flavours than the ones in Toronto (no shade to them, just our preference).

Portions are generous, and the BBH is my staple. The drinks are also inventive with lots of options. Each year we go snowboarding, we'll stop here before we hit the highway.

I love Viet coffee but they even elevate it to another level! Love the bone marrow and the satay beef rib pho is a must on the day you crave for meat! Def will come back

Stop messing around and go to pho dau bo. The pho noodle soup makes me cry tears of joy every single time. I think about the beautiful ha long bay everytime I sip the soup, and I've never even been there. Don't forget that bone marrow, tastes like Michelangelo's artwork in food form 10/10, and if you find out Becca is helping you, you're gonna realize you were blessed to be in the presence of greatness

This is one of my favourite Pho spots, I really enjoy their consistency whether I do take out or dine in. The staff are super friendly and really attentive, I usually get a pho soup and really enjoy their flavourful broth and high quality ingredients.

The food was amazing! Only place I could find bone marrow! This is my new favorite spot, friendly staff great menu and the food was delicious.

By far the best pho place I’ve ever been to. The food is incredible and the staff is very friendly. I used to just go to whatever was closer when getting Pho but now I go out of my way to come here!

I enjoyed certain items on the menu. The bone marrow was very good along with the beef carpaccio! However the Pho broth was lacking. We tried both the Satay Pho and normal pho, the satay pho was much better. It’s almost like the pho broth was made to be satay-fied. Would recommend the satay pho than the normal one.
The bun bo hue was lacking, would not recommend that

We have been looking for a new Vietnamese restaurant and this place is excellent! When we arrived we were greeted by a young lady and after presenting our vaccine cards we were seated. It was around 5: 30 Saturday and the restaurant was about 2/3 full. Service was prompt. After placing our order we watched as the staff were very attentive to all diners. Our appetizer arrived and shortly after finishing it the soup came. And the soup was delicious. Sate beef soup is on every menu of every Vietnamese restaurant but majority of them lack substance or depth. Not here. It was fantastic. This was the first time in along time that I actually ate all of it (well almost all) My husband had a different soup and his too was good. It was great service by Elena and the others. It was nice because the staff were hopping and still took the time when passing by to check if the food was good or if we needed anything. They followed all the protocols and it was clean in there including the bathroom. This restaurant will become our go to place. Thank you to all the staff.

The Bun Bo Hue was pretty good but the Spring Rolls were really disappointing. Still giving it 5 stars because of the two ladies working really hard despite a full restaurant and all the courier drivers coming in and out. Food gets a 4/5, service is a 5/5.

Pho with bone marrow, rice with meatloaf and pork. Flan for dessert. Decent pricing, good food. Make sure you have your vaccine passport ready upon being seated.

First time here with the family and we were very pleased with both the service and care they provided for our kids and us. To top it all off the food was delicious, we had 3 dishes and the quantities were perfect to share!

I ordered here for the first time, my spring rolls were burnt, the oil was old, i ordered a large well done soup with extra onions. I recieved a regualr soup with no onions. I am not happy with the service and ill necer order from here ever again, worst service ever

The Phở broth is a little to sweet but not to bad. Got the bone marrow with it. The bone marrow is good.
The rice dish not that good. The meat a little dried. But the coffee is good. Well really nice cause I know coffee is my thing for the day.

Went last night for the first time and it was beyond my expectations. The service was incredible, I felt so welcomed and Elena knew the menu and exactly what to order and gave us the perfect suggestions. The food came out so fast, with little to no wait time. I highly recommend this place. It's now my new fav Pho place in Calgary!

Food is great. Not too pricey, service is good. Waiters are patient. Will recommend this place to people who love Vietnamese food in Calgary.

The go to spot if your ever visiting outside of Calgary. The variety appetizer to choose from is amazing. From salad rolls, spring rolls and to fried taro rice cakes! Friendly and kind service like always:)

Found this place for the first time 2 weeks ago. Have been back since and have got to meet the family. All the servers as well as the owners are really nice and the service is excellent just like the food. The broth for beef noodle soups is the real deal. No fake magic there at all. The spring rolls are delicious and the satay peanut soup is tasty business. I always look for a place that does good tendon and I always add more to my order. Here it is sliced thinner but maintains an al dente integrity, thus not breaking down in to the soup. This is my spot.they nailed it first time and I'll be happy to spread the word.

Ordered the pho dac biet, Hanoi iced egg coffee, and beef carpaccio. Noodle texture and pho broth were great! The large size was a pretty big portion. Good service, definitely recommend

This place really stands out for the bone marrow pho. Such a rich broth, and even richer if you mix the bone marrow in it. Sad that they don't include it if you order pho through doordash but the family restaurant vibe that the place gives off is worth going to.

My colleague keeps introducing me to these small but amazing restaurants. Pho Dau Bo was awesome! Our server, Elena, was friendly & outgoing. She helped us wade through the menu. We both chose the spicy beef satè noodle soup. We also shared spring rolls to start. The portions are HUGE. I’ll have soup for two more days. I would highly recommend that if you find yourself down 17th Ave SE, you have lunch at this place. It was sooooo good. Thanks to the whole team. I’ll definitely be back!

They refused to provide service because we didn’t have ID but we did have a proof of vaccination. The server was totally rude and said it was a fake Vaccination record unless I can show her my ID. The instructions on the door and also on their facebook only state that they need the proof for vaccination. They didn’t even offer me the option to dine outside. Really bad attitude. Wasting my time.

Best pho in town <3 my boyfriend came from Toronto and I brought him to this restaurant. OMG the soup was so amazing, not too much MSG. I got two bowls pho dac biet and its really deserve to the price. Highly recommended.

Service has definitely improved since my last visit a couple weeks ago. Found a hair in my pork chop but they replaced it and made me a new one. Awesome satay beef.

The people and the food are both amazing. I have been eating there for years and have never had better pho than Pho Dau Bo. Do yourself a favor and try their pho tai or the sate. Their broth is insanely tasty.

This place is wayyyy overhyped in my opinion. It's quite pricy & suuuuper oily & greasy. I honestly felt so gross after I ate their sate need pho.

I LOVE PHO. I’ve been to over 10+ pho places around the city but this restaurant left me disappointed. My sister and her friend love this place and always get their soup so today they took me too. I got their chicken, spring roll and vermicelli however their portion size was a joke. For $14 a plate I was expecting more as there are cheaper Pho places around the city that provide the same meal AND add on shrimp for only $12. I was give a full plate of rice with 1/4 of a plate for chicken. I’m not sure what they were expecting. So I ordered extra chicken (another $4.50) which they brought out a little less than what I had gotten before. Food may have been good but based ok the price sticking with the soup may be a better option as anything else you will be getting ripped off. Move on to the next pho restaurant.

Very special Vietnamese noodle place. They bring in some unique cooking element into their dish. Bone marrow, Chinese donut stick, slow simmered beef rib. Coffee slush. All these are must try.

In a city where Pho is limited, this place is the best. The bone marrow was yummy. Also had Bun Dac Biet which was great. Bo Kho was not bad- just a tad bit too sweet but overall pretty good. The cost is a bit more on the higher side though.

Good service. Restaurant was quite full. They arranged a table for 8. We ordered all kinds of things, all seemed good. Soup was very tasty.

Ordered the crispy pork spring rolls, roasted bone marrow, pho, bun bo hue. The pho and bun bo hue were delicious and flavourful. Spring rolls were a bit greasy but good, and the bone marrow was a bit under seasoned. Very friendly customer service.

Best satay soup out of all Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to in the city. Even though location is out of the way for me, been coming in regularly for the soup.

Hands down one of my favourite Pho restaurants. I can't stop coming here and my friends make fun of me when they always see me there. Their sate pho is what will get you and it's the best I've ever had, anywhere!

One of my favourite places to grab pho, ever. I've been coming for a few years now, and they make an amazing satay pho! I just tried their regular pho broth yesterday and it was excellent as well. The beef is good quality and they do not skimp on the quantity! The service is fast and friendly, and there is plenty of seating and parking available in the plaza. Come here if you want an excellent, piping hot bowl of pho!

Good food and fast service.
I would have given 5 stars to this place, but our experience was sadly diminished by the attitude of one of the waitress, when I asked her about the ingredients of an item in my plate she responded very bothered at my question saying that she doesn’t work in the kitchen, so she didn’t know. I was so surprised with such attitude I didn’t even know if should be bothered to explain how bad that was for their customer service. She ended up going to the kitchen to ask and gave me back the most fake smile.

Pho broth was pretty delicious, ordered rare beef and flank and the salad rolls was pretty good. The noodles weren't bad. Service was nice, ambiance was ok, may need to tidy some things up and get new utensils (Chopsticks, Spoons etc.) as they seemed to be very used. Overall enjoyed the food.

Absolutely looove this place. They have an awesome snack hour from 2pm-5pm where they offer deals on bubble tea, apps and even a combo with pho and a sub!

I eat here a lot and I’m usually served by a young server that I saw there often and it’s is always a good experience but for the last couple of times I’ve been severed by this older lady that I’ve never seen here before. When my food came out it was not what I order. I asked for a sate beef and got a regular pho. She then came to ask if there was anything wrong with my meal and I addressed my issue and she laughed/ giggled? I couldn’t really put together what she was trying to say either. The other server always refilled the pot of tea and this time the pot lid was up and never was refilled

We drive 40 minutes to get to this restaurant. Service is always very positive and predictable. Today the shaking beef was truly outstanding. Adding a little lemon on the plate was the perfect touch. Definitely worth the drive.

I have to be honest, it’s probably the worst Pho I’ve ever had.

Cons: very expensive
$13 + $1 for a large for Sate beef pho
I was given 3.2 oz of beef
The liquid container was 3/4 full.
So that’s a huge rip off.every other place, 5-6oz of meat and full broth.

The broth had A LOT of grease on top.
It was orange in colour, looked a lot more like curry than broth.
The beef was brown, looked almost half cooked but there was a lot of blood and a noticeable smell. The beef was not fresh by any means and had probably say quite awhile.

After microwaving it all together for several minutes to be safe. I ate it cause I was starving but I’m mildly concerned I might end up sick later.

Wouldn’t order again even if it was free.

We used to live close by to what we consider is the best pho in town. Now we live on the other side of the city but we still make the 30 minute drive to enjoy the delicious satay beef pho. Great Vietnamese restaurant that stands out from the rest, and makes an effort to be even better. Now if only they would open one up in the SW!

Best Vietnamese restaurant in the city. In fact, one of only two Vietnamese restaurants I will eat at in Calgary. Their pho is to die for, and the bone marrow is the stuff of dreams. Highly recommend coming here!

Yes, it's family owned, expect the family to be there - people have their own family to take care of.

Every time I've been here the service has been great, and the food even better. Best bang for your buck is the pho in my opinion, the spicy satay is amaaaaaazing.

Ordered the special vermicelli. First, when I picked it up, it was COLD. Because I was almost an hour late.second, they told me they don't take credit on orders below 20 dollars! But then when I said my debit wasn't working they said it was ok, so I guess they did me a favour there too, actually.
Finally, the food was extremely delicious, even cold. The only thing I really hated was that the staff all remembered my name since I order food there regularly. I hate it when people are friendly.
Finally, and this is the reason I go there, they have a potomotrygon leopoldi in their fish tank.

Probably the best Pho in all of Alberta. Yeah i said it! Don’t take my word for it! Try it for yourself you won’t be disappointed. That Pho sate broth is insanely flavourful and adding that bone marrow is like the cherry on top! Also, they have beautiful Arowana fish and leopoldi stingray in their aquarium so check them out! Fast and friendly service!

Ordered one of the rice vermicelli bowls and was very disappointed with the portion and pricing. Very small compared to other Vietnamese restaurants and overpriced for what you get. I found the charbroiled beef was lacking in flavour, luckily the sriracha at the table helped. I would maybe come back one more time to try the soups as they did look pretty appetizing, but the portion sizes for these bowls looked small as well. Looks like there are a lot of better options in the area to check out.

Definitely mediocre for a pho city like Calgary. Couple places much better within 1 min of this place.

Great Sate, but the service is sooo bad, that the management should be ashamed of their staff.they are the worst staff that I have ever seen. So rude and dismissive, feel like I am not wanted every time I've been here.
