Pho Thanh

For lunch today plus having a cold, decided to get some pho soup from here. The high rating is kinda what made me decide to try it. I do love my pho soup and trying a new place to me seemed like the best choice.

I was not disappointed. Ordering was quick and the gentleman had given great cust service. The atmosphere even tho slightly degraded on the outside was well kept inside and had a feel of upper class.

The food was amazing. Some of the best pho soup I've had in a long time. I also got the Vietnamese bun, both the bun and veggies were exquisitely fresh and the meat very tender.

I think my only drawback to it was the price was a little steep for just soup and a small bun not to mention i didnt get any Sriracha (but they may just forgot it) but after finishing the meal I had no regrets. Really hit the spot.

Absolutely amazing! Real Vietnamese Coffee and so good to the very last drip! The bowls (portions) are phenomenal and the value is so exceptional! The food is tasty and extremely delicious! The service makes you feel so welcomed and that you belong here! Just amazing all around! Perfection is non-existent. However, here it is so damned close to doing so!

You gotta come see this place for yourselves. Absolutely incredible from the ornaments on the ceiling to the big screen, to the kind hearted hard working people who make me feel like I'm in a Palace!

I ordered the number 1,7,9,31 and Beef Satay and it was sooooooooo good my mouth was just astonished with the kinds of flavours going in there I could honestly drool and I'm just finished eating here haha excellent.

I really want to keep my review at 5 stars but I can't.

Eating in is great, but take out is not. This is because of the containers.

We tried delivery once and it was cool by the time we got it. The containers are not insulated, just plastic but we assumed this was mostly to slow delivery.

But today I just ordered a Beef Satay for pickup. It was ready on time but the container opened up when I placed it on a flat surface in my car. I saw it dripping as I drove away so I picked up the bag and the lid fully came off and it started spilling out.

I got it out of the car as fast as I could, which made it spill completely. There is a nice satay puddle in your parking lot now. Not the dinner I had in mind.

Its possible the lid just wasn't put on right, but I think it's because the lid melted. It's completely deformed and the only stress it had was from being carried in the bag.

Everywhere else we buy pho or similar dishes from use a styrofoam container with plastic bag liner. Safe from spills and retains heat. Please consider changing. We can't do pick up or delivery orders anymore because of the containers you use.

Your pho is great, if we could get to eat it properly it would be much better.

Edmonton hidden gem for Vietnamese food. Favorite is beef stew, tapioca dumplings and deep fried squid.

Great pho and service. The pho was so flavourful and the beef was cooked perfectly. Amazing Vietnamese food.

Clean and modern feel. Very good service and the food is very good. Portions bit smaller then average.
Sha tay soup is amazing!

Soup is not hot. Cannot boil the beef and sprouts. The rice noodle is not cooked properly. The 2nd pic shows the noodle bond together. The worst in my life. But the decoration and beef quantity is good through.

The services and atmosphere were great, zero complaints, but unfortunately the food was a little subpar– my vermicelli bowl was unusually cold and my husband's soup was lukewarm. We'd purposely selected it based on the rating/reviews so it was a bit disappointing. Not sure if we just caught them on an off night, but we probably won't risk going back again to find out.

I do not recommend. I ordered the House Special Pho. It is supposed to contain steak, flank, tendon, tripe and beef ball. It had one small strip of tripe 1 cm by 3 cm in size. Not even enough to cover a spoon. There was one cube of tendon less than 2 cm in size. There was half a beef ball. For $13 I will spend my money elsewhere.
Flavor was average. Service was basic.

This is by far the best place on the southside of Edmonton for Vietnamese food. I ordered the chicken lemongrass banhmi and the shrimp salad rolls. The chicken in the banhmi was not fatty which I really enjoyed. Everything on their menu is great and I always leave satisfied. This place is also always busy which is another good sign.

The ambience is very nicely decorated and clean.

Upon arrival, we were seated and given menus. I would say the service was subpar (probably due to the lack of servers during lunch service). We were asked what drinks we wanted probably after a solid 5 minutes of sitting there.

I ordered the bun bo hue. All of our food came out very slowly; when it came to our table, the soup was lukewarm and lacked spice. Had to dump a lot of chilis and black pepper in the soup to compensate.

Unlike other Vietnamese restaurant, their menu listed out which one is Gluten friendly in the menu.

The food is also good. We had a vermicelli bowl and a pho. The vermicelli noodle is chewy and good while their pho soup base is clean and tasty.

One more thing I like about is the service. They are super friendly

First time here and definitely would come back! We liked all our orders. The soup are very flavourful! The best we’ve had in the city.

You get what’s looks like under portioned food but is by far the best tasting I’ve had in a long time perfect portions and excellent mix of veggies and noodles

Very decent pho in a modern setting. The place was really bright and clean, and service was super. The pho broth was flavorful though i'd prefer the meats to have a bit more fat and the broth is less on the spice note. For those who love Southern style pho, this is a decent choice. Parking in the plaza was pretty good.

Good food but a little pricey compared to similar restaurants and they have a price increase coming according to their sign on the door.

I'm trying to write a review about how much I loved the Pho that I picked up.loved everything from the friendliness of the young lady who greeted me at the restaurant, the clever packaging that kept the broth hot + splashproof, the FLAVOURFUL broth, the FRESH vegs, the PERFECT noodles, the TENDER steak, but I keep getting cut off. THERE - DONE! LOL

Needed soup after getting a tongue piercing the day before - staff cut the noodles and beef up for us and went out of their way to ensure we could enjoy our food. Soup was some of the best I’ve had, Vietnamese coffee with soy milk was amazing, and our server was the sweetest. Although we live downtown we’ll be making the trip back as this place, the food and staff are fabulous!

Food and service was good. I enjoyed the tapioca dumplings. The small size is quite small though I will get the large size in the future

The single best Pho place I’ve been to, and since Pho is my favourite food, I’ve nearly been to all of them in the city. The place has them all beat. It’s also the only place in the city that actually listens when you pay extra for extra meat.

Unreal to finally know of an amazing pho place on the Southside. Just moved SW from north and this is my go to place, now. My mom even likes it and asks that we go there instead of our usual place from time to time (and that's unheard of from Vietnamese mothers!). The Bun Bo Hue (spicy Hue style soup) is super flavorful, and so is the Hu Dieu Do Bien (Seafood Pho). Tapioca dumplings are sooo delicious, and the portions are great for the price. Those dumplings take forever to make!

Great, friendly and prompt service with a smile. Big portions and authentic Vietnamese! Must try the Bun Bo Hue! Il be back this week for the quail!

The pho here was great! Portion size was nice, meat was plentiful, and the broth tasted nice and clean. The service here was very friendly, and it all was just a great dining experience.

Beautifully lit establishment ran by an amazing family. You can really taste the love and authenticity in each dish. I highly recommend their tapioca dumplings, they are to DIE for! I can never leave without taking an order to go. And I definitely cannot forget to mention their Bun Bo Hue, which has been a long time favorite.

Amazing service and the restaurant has beautiful decor. Their beef satay is probably the best beef satay I've ever had. It had the perfect amount of spice while not being overpowering. Highly recommend Pho Thanh and will definitely be coming back many times in the near future.

Excellent Pho. Good base that is rich without being too salty or greasy. Thin slices of tender beef. Newly renovated with modern but still Vietnamese inspired decor.

Had the 4 colour vermicelli (grilled pork, pork sausage, shrimp and spring rolls) super yummy! Service was so quick and the server were super friendly! Will be back forsure!

The food is amazing, the staff is exceptional, and the restaurant is absolutely stunning! Can't say enough good things about Pho Thanh and the quality of their authentic Vietnamese dishes and unparalleled customer service. I recommend their Bun Bo Hue soup if you're looking for something spicy and their Thai iced tea to cool you off! Keep up the good work guys!

Got the bbh, was pretty good compared to some other locations. Will be back to try other items on the menu.

Authentic food. The restaurant decoration is very nice, clean and the service is friendly. The food is tasty, I really like the Bun Bo Hue.

Amazing authentic Vietnamese food. The fried quail, homemade dumplings and bun bo hue were great. Make sure to try the fried chicken pho, best thing on the menu in my opinion, the fried chicken flavor just gets taken in the broth more and more as you eat, it's amazing! Lots of seating and great service as well.

I’m visiting Edmonton from California and was looking for a good bowl of pho my first day here. After fiercely looking through reviews because I take my pho very seriously, I was excited to try this hot & new pho restaurant. By surprise, I showed up to this nice new place with Versace glass designs outside.already a winner for me. I walked in and was in shock by the amount of beautiful chandeliers they have and design of this pho place. It was clean and bright, and the servers were so sweet and amazing. I ordered pho and my friend ordered a pho satay.and wow. I was shook.authentic, delicious, and a clean hot broth. I am coming back this week before I go! OH and the bathroom. CLEAN.

Beautiful restaurant with friendly staff who are fast and efficient. I had the chicken vermicelli bowl and tapioca pork dumplings and both were amazing. Chicken wasn't dry which I find at most places and the dumplings are like no other! I cannot wait to try their other items on the menu!

Easily the best Vietnamese food I've had in Edmonton. Salad rolls 10/10. The interior is so unexpected, just wonderful!

THE BEST PHO IN TOWN. To all the PHO lover out there, come check out this new place. I normally go to different restaurants and try their PHO and I gotta say this one is my favorite. With great atmosphere and friendly environment. I would definitely come back and try more of their dishes.

Found the perfect place for Pho! The atmosphere is great, the staff are so friendly. The food is amazing. Great taste the pork spring rolls tasted amazing, the pho tai was great! The broth for there pho dishes is sooo tasty! I definitely found my new favourite pho spot!

Amazing Vietnamese food! Big fan of the Bun bo hue and pho satay! To be honest, all the food our group ordered was incredible. Just Fantastic, the food was tasty and lots of choices to pick from. BBH is the bomb for sure! Tapioca were nice and chewy from my sweetened Thai ice tea I supper recommend getting. Workers were super friendly and kind. Super clean restaurant and such beautiful chandeliers. The bathroom surprised me a lot, it was super clean and doesn’t stink. Pretty fair pricing and lots of parking spots. Just a wonderful atmosphere. I really liked the plating how they add the cucumber and lettuce supper yummy. I forgot to take pictures before eating but it looked supper appealing I just had to eat. I was super full since there portions were pretty large. My food came out fast and was super hot that the bowl was still warm when I finished it. I liked the music they played and my table was clean before leaving. Well what are you waiting for just go try it!

Amazing food and amazing service. Definately the best pho place in the south if not Edmonton entirely. Props to the chef and staff! They take great pride in running the business.
