She took me in last minute on a busy day. As a first timer I was made to feel as though we had been seeing eachother here forever.very good quality cut/style, excellent- actually unbeatable- pricing. Adorable shop with beautiful custom artwork by a local.

Been going here for years and I absolutely love them, the same person will always do my hair exactly how I like it, not to mention the owner is super sweet!

Never, just never visit this "salon", I never leave reviews, but here it just shocked me. Everything is dirty and in other people's hair, I was after the client and after it they didn’t even remove or shake off the hair from the machine. But that’s all little things compared to what they did to me. So I sobbed after a haircut in my school years, when I got the wrong style, but this time I was just scraped as if a beast had attacked me and pulled out my hair. The tufts of hair are shorter, longer, there are long tufts above the ears, the contour on the neck behind the curve. I will add a photo as I asked and how they did it. It's good that winter and hair tend to grow back. I'll have to walk for a while in a hat. Master woman with white short hair.

Cheryl and her crew are always very friendly and ready to do your hair the way YOU want it. If they think something might look better they ask and explain, super helpful.

They have never cut to much off of my hair, as I am very particular about this.

Well I can say I did a 3 strike rule here.
WHAT WAS I THINKING
Not only did she dismiss what I wanted with style, colour and trim.
I was told the hairdresser I normally use (15yrs) has no idea what she’s doing and she does it better and has better products (nope you wrecked my hair) please look up what a bad hairstylist does or doesn’t do. I left with my hair still wet because I didn’t want any more frizz but she blamed that on my shampoo. I now have a green skunk streak and haven’t even washed my hair yet. I have never left my normal hairstylist unhappy and all 3 time I’ve been to pinups I’ve left very unhappy.
The number one rule is you listen to what a customer wants even if you don’t like it. Not everyone has the same taste or style.

Was very disappointed in my experience. I went in and asked if she could match what I had at ends of my hair and bring it up to the top. She did not do what I asked, and it looked horrible after. She was super rough on my hair and caused a lot of breakage. Had to get it done a second time at a proper salon to fix this mess. She wouldn’t even take responsibility for what she did. Added photos: First photo is of my hair before, second two are how she let me leave.

Owner was super nice. Told me over the phone she would beat my stylists price and include a deep condition treatment, never recieved a treatment, just a super quick wash and dry. The style was terrible. I showed her a picture of wavy hair how I wanted my hair (like I got done a month prior, just add a bit more curl) I'm going for a photo shoot, and my hair doesn't look anything like the picture, it's frizzy and not even curled correctly. I had to redo my hair at home but could only do part because she sparyed so much product. My hair is a super disappointment and can't even be fixed in time for photos. I've since heard of many reviews from people advising to stay away. First and second picture is how my hair was done. Third is what I wanted. So disappointed. Wouldn't advise going there

I had a wonderful experience! The owner is super sweet, and did an amazing job on my hair:) I have curly hair and I always avoid getting it cut for as long as I can because I've had so many bad cuts, but she did a phenomenal job and for an super affordable price. I will definitely be coming back!

Owner is so friendly and kind. We walked in without an appointment and was helped right away. Haircut nice and neat, good to see my sons face again

Mandy always achieves exactly what I want with my hair, then takes it a step beyond to make it even better than I expected. I've stayed with her for years and years because she is so experienced, knowledgeable, and understands my hair so well. Would highly recommend her services!

My son loves going to see Yvonne she is so sweet kind caring and funny we drive across the city just to see her…. This salon the signage is a bit un noticeable from the street but it sure is cute when u go in…. It’s got like an old school marlyn Monroe vibe I love it the owner is super sweet too!

I always go to see Cheryl! She, along with the rest of her staff provide a great atmosphere and are always friendly. I don't know why I'd go elsewhere!

I booked an appointment for a haircut in search of a new stylist, not sure what to expect. I was more than pleased with the time Mandy took to understand my hair and what I wanted from the cut. I have found my new stylist!

Read about this place I never knew was there. I was so afraid of going anywhere after yet another disastrous first covid cut at Great clips crowfoot with the France French younger manager. His 1st was good but 2nd and after I let my hair grow was horrendous. My bangs which should sweep the the side were cut like an upside down crescent! My other side was a good inch longer than the other and there were some shorter cuts in the middle where obviously was a mistake. And we talked about not going too short! Well he did.like peter pan!

So many month after I decided to give pin ups and owner Cheryl a try.
Well she gave me a great deal as I was a new walkin. Luckily there had been a cancellation. She gave me a deep condition included in the deal and I sat under the dryer.
I showed her a cut I liked with Sharon Osbourne I took off the tv.
As she was cutting she saw the huge mistakes the other person did and showed me. She was surprised.
Anyway I love my hair cut! I will be going back. My husband keeps saying "Hi cutie" lol

Very friendly. Gentle and knowledgeable! Taught me how to style my bangs as my hair was naturally getting a tiny bit thinner on one side which is normal aging she told me.
Definitely 5 STARS WELL EARNED and I was only out of pocket less than 40.00.

Cheryl is Fantastic! She completely fixed the monstrosity that was my hair after a "hairstylist" from another salon destroyed it.
She gave me her time to really make sure my hair looked great and that we were both happy with it. She's a sunshine of conversation and love in her heart. She really understands what community is about and genuinely cares about hair health.
She didn't make me feel silly for what I had done to my hair, and I really appreciate her leaving my pride intact. Haha:)
I'll never go to another salon thinking covid has kept her place closed - Pin-Ups are open! If they close in the future, you're better off to wait it out hard and maybe even cut your own hair before trusting another salon.
As with any hairdresser, give them a few tries so that they can learn your hair, trust me. She also know a lot of other cuts that most stylists don't know how to do (I would say) so of you have that one hairstyle that no one gets right. Try Cheryl and give her a few tries. I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

This place is great! Went there for a cut and colour and Cheryl, the owner, was fabulous. I got exactly the colour that I wanted and a cut that shows it off perfectly.
For colouring and a cut, I found the pricing to he very reasonable. I also bought some colour guard shampoo and hairspray, which I thought were also fairly priced (for salon brands).
If you're looking for just a cut, or the whole works, Pin-Ups is the place you want to go!

Jamie got me in quick as a walk in but that is the only good thing about my experience at Pin Ups. I haven't received this bad of a hair cut in a very long time. I guess you get what you pay for. Jamie is nice enough but as a hairdresser she is lacking. As for the shop itself, it is in desperate need of a makeover. Nothing looked clean or sanitized.

The service is amazing. I love supporting local businesses. Well worth the visit, very skilled and knowledgeable hair specialists. I'm very happy with my hair style and plan on only going here for all my hair dressing needs

Jamie & Sheryl at Pin-ups did a wonderful job on my 15 year old daughter's hair. It was my daughter's first dye, and they made her feel important. They have impeccable customer and are very knowledgeable.

One of the best haircuts I have ever got. Wasn’t sure if they cut men’s hair here at first but found out they do. Everyone working was in a good mood and had a great talk and laugh with my hairdresser. I’m now a customer for life! Thanks Pinups!
