WORST. PLACE. EVER!
Went in for a simple vehicle inspection for insurance. I have a 2009 Ford Escape that I bought in 2013 with 73,000km on it. It’s now 2024 and I only have 118,500 on it. I have put less than 50km on this vehicle in 11yrs.
So I know my car is “roadworthy”. I watched the inspection. They bring me to the back and tell me my front driver side break needs fixing, yet the drivers back tire is the only one they took off (I watched). He tell me I have to pay $350 to fix it or he is deeming it not roadworthy. Which in turn cut my insurance off. WORST PLACE EVER! ESPECIALLY! When I went for a second opinion and there is NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR!
RUN AWAY AND FAST! Oh and waiting over an hour after your appointment is ridiculous, we ain’t at the doctors FFS! I actually give it no stars but won’t let me leave review without at least one.

Horrible customer service. Owner has really bad attitude doesn’t talk professionally and will make you chase him around but still wouldn’t talk with a straight face. Nobody would be interested in helping you and will make you wait hours for the simplest thing. Just terrible, go somewhere else who is willing to help you out and save your time.

They have no respect for customers, waited 4 hours just for tire change. Worst shop ever.

Worst experience ever, people moved from ontario or other provinces please don’t visit Pinder’s Auto Centre for alberta car inspection.

Very Very bad experience, despite getting an appointment had to spend 5 hrs just to get an out of province inspection.

If you want to save money, this is the Place to go to, waiting tine is long, I was there for 5 hours but its all about saving money, Canadian tire quoted me $1300 for Rotors, brake pads and Calipers, but khan looked and said I only needed two Rotors, saved me $1000 bucks, don't believe what you Read, He has lots of Customers coming in, Super busy, They are there for a reason, Saving money its not fruiticana, where you go in grab your Groceries and Go out, it's a workshop, getting vehicles fixed takes time, rest is up to you guys Reading the Reviews

The worst place you can bring your car for repair. My car was with them for 2 days they didn’t do anything took $100 for inspection and $20 to put a screw. They don’t know how to the job.

Best place to repair. Very reasonable service and professional advice. I always get my car maintenance done here.

Been going to Pinder for 25 years+, the friendliest and best mechanic around. It's always busy but if you want fast, it won't be cheap. The focus is on oil changes, tires, brakes and they do a great job at it.

Amazing service phenomenal people. Great staff! I was hurting and I was in a really bad place. I needed to get a Uber inspection done immediately the boys understood and helped me out literally save my life in this bad economy.

If you want to save $5 an hour. Go there. There is a cold waiting area waiting for you. You have to wait for 3-4 hours to get the oil change done. Pinder auto is comparatively 5% less expensive than the others. So yea go there. Have fun

Precise, accurate and affordable. You may have to wait, but it's worth it considering Pinders teams expertise. Not a super fancy looking place, but worthy advice and service

Every business comes with pros and cons. Not everything is perfect.if everything goes well customers gets happy and of not then definitely lash back with -ve reviews. This shop is extremely busy all the time. Not only this shop all mechanic shops are busy everywhere.

Pros:
Best oil change rates
Quick service (Oil change)
Nice and humble people.
Khan is really knowledgeable and diagnose things quickly.

Cons:
Too much busy with oil and tyre services all the time around the year
Because of business you cant book desired time for major works.

I will leave 5 stars for them.

It is a good place to get your car fixed at cheaper rate. The only catch is You will have to wait longer.

Pinder ($$) uncle is a kind a cherry picker now, he is more of business man than mechanic now, visit number of times, but turn comes not on priority basis, it’s on Easier job…

Highly no recommendation. May there is option of 0 star. Owner Pinder and his employee Khan, both don't know how to deal with Clint. Please don't waste your time and money here.

Disaster, guy tried to convince and charge me for a antifreeze change that he did not do.there was no liquid at ALL, and it was the same brownish colour I came in with. LIAR. Will make u wait in line for hours, and then screw u over for a benjamin.

Need a whole day just for oil change even you have an appointment

Very Affordable. Price was almost half what was quoted by other outlets in the South. Better time management is desirable.

I get very bad experience with mechanic "KHAN" No any reliability in his work, he has no any technical knowledge, failure to fix troubleshoot.waste of money and time there.

I wouldn't recommend this shop i went to do oil change the same guys working there told me it was 65$ and after i had to pay 80$

I went to this shop to get an out of province inspection he did not approve because of oil leak he says I told him that I just had a new engine put in a day ago he said I should have washed it not a good treatment at all and he charged me $89.50 for nothing would not recommend this shop for anybody stay away

They don’t know how to talk to their customers even how to take car of your cars.
I would suggest all of you to find a good mechanic who doesn’t make you to wait all day

I was totally ignored. I had taken my car back after it had been fixed because there's a noise but it wasn't looked at. He said he didn't hear the noise.

Terrible experience with Pinder Auto Centre. Am not pleased or satisfied with the service. Took my Hyundai Santafe there for work paid for the services but did not get desired result. The car was just the same as before I took it there.

I have complained and took it back but still have no positive result.

Never seen such terrible experience.
Pontiac G5 was working good, was there to solve the gas leak issue, did not know how they change the gas pump, came three consecutive days to get rid of leak. Boss was so frustrating don’t even know how to talk to someone.
Mannerless person.
Find someone else they will ruin your car.
Car gave me same problem on highway i was stuck. Even after 3 days to them.
Lastly work was done by other mechanic
Finally solved in 40mins. New mechanic told me there was no need to change pump, leak was in hose.
Hope god give them some manners.

I have very good experience yesterday, bring my can in for an out of province inspection. They show me al the issues my vehicle had and fixed it. Highly recommended

Worst mechanic shop in Calgary. Pinder has no respect for his clients and let’s people come to the back to serve them before you. Wastes your time, money and have u leaving feeling horrible. AVOID THIS PLACE! Any other shop would be better

Worst customer service ever. No respect for customers. You can stand there whole day, and they won’t have time to ask you what are you here for. NEVER going back. Don’t waste your time.

Honest, trustworthy. He won't scam you to get more things done with the car if not needed. He'll tell you what is the wrong and recommend what needs to be done unlike some of the other garages that'll scare you into doing it right away.

Worst mechanic ever! Any other mechanic would be a better choice! Mechanic working there told me they would come give me a boost because my battery died on my car. He said in 5 mins he would bring booster cables and come. Instead he ended up closing up shop and leaving me to wait in the parking lot for hours. At least he could have had the decency to tell me he was too busy and I could have found someone else instead of me waiting there pointlessly. Stay away from this place unless you're trying to waste your time and money.

The owner of this shop's very honest and satisfy and he is professional I love to fix my car.

Definitely the worst customer service in this entire industry. There are plenty of shops in the area that have competitive pricing with significantly better customer service. Look for those before you even consider bringing your car here

I was told to bring my car first thing in the morning and when I arrived pinder stated it would take no longer 30 minutes to begin service on my car, 2 hours later he tells me "I don't know how long it will take you may have to leave your car behind, we go based on first come first serve basis" despite only one car being ahead of me, I saw multiple people cut the line and get their car serviced.

There is no system here, definitely not "first come first serve" its completely discretionary, if you know pinder personally then no problem, any average customer will be treated like a second class citizen. Save your dignity and time and get your car serviced elsewhere.

All other reviews here are most likely done by people he knows personally the real reviews are mainly negative. Its not worth the price

Pinder auto center is a place where brother pinder has great knowledge and expertise in the field. A very reliable place for auto repairs.

This is the worst service that I have experienced in my life.they even don’t care if customer is waiting. I went to his auto centre at 10: 00 but he did my car work at 6: 00 in the evening. It was not even that he was busy. Still made me wait till evening.they didn’t care that a customer is waiting.the owner of this auto centre was talking on the phone and I would talk sometimes.was going in and coming out sometime.he did not care that someone came from there to take leave from his work.took me too much money and did the worst work.the problem I had in my car did not go well even after getting the service done. His poor service so much that I do not understand how to tell you. I told you as much as I understood.however, if you want to waste your time and money, then you can go. I will not recommend you to go there with my experience.

Reason for 4 stars is lack of any customer service or any kind of structure. They dont have any drop in appointment option, you end up wasting on an average of 30 minutes before anyone assists you.

Cost wise its one of the best places, quite affordable!

I recently had an life learning experience with them. I had a broken engine mount replaced from them. Pinder did not replace the part as a whole and denied the fact that it was good to go, the car did not vibrate before the incident and now it vibrates/shakes. There was a bracket that is supposed to hold the engine tight and Pinder said the car is supposed to be vibrating how it is and these cars vibrate, and there's nothing he can do about it. I will be reporting this to AMVIC. I have been to another mechanic and he also said The mechanic who worked on the car should have replaced the whole part. What if something happens on the road who would be responsible? ! I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place at all.

Went there for two times with suspension issue spent 600 bucks still same issues same noises had bad experience

The main reason that I go to this place is price, but unfortunately they aren't cheap anymore. They charged me today $84 for winter tires change. I didn't know price until after 1 hour wait and my car was already in the workshop as they said it would be $60. There are a lot of places with a better service charge the same rate, so for me no reason to go there anymore.

Very reasonable repair charges. The facility's owner is knowledgeable. He is available later in the evening for scheduling consultation.

Unresponsive no customer service. Don't was ur time out there. Had just walkout had a very bad experience.

Fast, honest and efficient. You don't often find this combination of qualities in an auto shop. Pinder's is an exception. Good mechanics and fair prices. Definitely recommended.

Cheap place to get the basic oil change and service. I would not recommend it for any major repairs. Have a whole day available on your hand before you plan to go there because you gotta wait for at least few hours. Appointment means nothing.

I got my winter tires moved from one set of rims to another. Price was reasonable. Valve cores and caps were kept at the shop. Didn't see this until I sold the spare rims. Not a major crime but sneaky.

Negative~ Worst Mechanic team in Calgary, last time when I went for tire change they broke my TPMS, it cost me like $200 to get it to fix. Service is worst, you have to wait for like 1-hour minimum because they give preference to
Taxi drivers. Worst Customer service experience ever and so unorganized system.
