Very weird interaction.
Mike said he would call to confirm before coming, but didn't call (it was thanksgiving weekend).
He called in the morning the day of, asking if he could come do the job and I said we weren't ready (as there was no call, I didn't know he would come), he said no worries, we can just check the inside and start digging on the outside. He said they could even help move the boxes in the basement to get it ready, I said great! We set the time for after 3pm as my husband had a meeting (the egress window to be installed is on his office). It was past 5pm and no sign of them, so I called.
He said they are not coming anymore. I said I'd appreciate if he had let me know as I was waiting, and he started being very very rude (frankly, like a whole other person than the friendly helpful one that called in the morning), which led me to cancel the job altogether. Unfortunately it was a terrible experiencebefore it even started.
(edited to add: no, I'm not trying to wreck your business. This is an honest feedback to get better in your communication. I have never had to leave a bad review in my life. A simple "I'm sorry I kept you waiting" would suffice. But instead you were very disrespectful in your tone, and it came as a shock as you were very heldful and friendly in the morning call.
It wasn't professional how you talked to me later in the day. As I said, like a whole different person.
So, if you say you are gonna call, call. If unable to come at set time frame, simply call or send a message. If the client asks about a no show, a simple "I'm sorry I kept you waiting, can we set another time? "
From your other reviews, sounds like you are good at your job. Better communication will get you even further)
