Play It Again Sports

During our vacation in Calgary and Canmore our kids fell in love with baseball. Although we have no idea about baseball (in Germany it's not a big thing) we felt at the right place.

The salesman was really helpful, kind and explained everything in detail and answered our (possibly) silliest questions with patience. My son loves his new glove and still talks about the salesman, which helped him, although there were some language barriers (from my son's side).

I'd like to have shops like this here, too.

Truly impressed with the good deal less than $100/$200 on getting the HOCKEY JERSEY customized.
Especially I’m getting my WASHINGTON CAPITALS JERSEY customized. First time here and hopefully this store impacts my experience

I have bought a lot of goalie gear here. And will continue to do so. The staff are always friendly and knowledgeable. Always willing to help or guide you to the right place if they can’t.

Terribly disappointed as I returned a pair of skates within the first seven days and they gave me store credit and not full credit as it says in their receipt. When we got the skates 6 days ago, their customer service rep told us that we could leave the box with her, so we did. However, today at the till they said they needed the box and that’s why we wouldn’t get full credit.
They had the box except they didn’t want to make the return full as they were supposed to.
Terrible experience. Not impressed

As per the answer given by their customer service team:
“Free rental”? Not surprised, nor impressed with the answer given. Awful experience, just an awful place. The skates were tried once. Zero acknowledge on their behalf for not providing these information in their receipt. I hope more people don’t have the same bad experience we had. Good luck everyone that still wants to come to this store.

I went in to pick up a pair of ice skates I saw online. I am glad I went into the store and didn't just pay online because I was able to ask pretty basic questions that a staff member was able to answer easily to educate me on how ice skates should feel. I have ever only rented or borrowed skates and never knew the basics. I ended up purchasing waxed laces as well, which turned out to be a fantastic suggestion from the staff member. When I checked out at the register, I had asked about a military veteran discount and was amazed at the offer given. I felt my service was appreciated and very much appreciated the customer service I was given!

You get helped immediately right as you walk in the door.all the workers are very helpful and respectful

Went there this evening and was immediately greeted by a young gentleman willing to help us. Although we didn’t find skates, he was very helpful. All the young men working there had excellent customer service. Wish every establishment was like this. I will be back even if it’s on the other end of the city for me!

It’s still expensive, a lot of things are really worn out.but at least some alternative for those who have no money at all

Play it again sports has always been my go to for equipment, they are really friendly and have awesome deals. Yesterday came in for some skis for a friend and Ryan was super helpful and did the best to get all the right equipment for a gold price.

We went there to find my ski poles, I'm still a beginner, so I have no idea how to pick the proper one for myself. Fortunately, when we first stepped in the store, the clerk quickly came over to help and provide the information on how to pick the right ski poles.
When we were ready to pay, the cashier helped us again to check if I picked the right one. Very good service and helpful.

Patient and very helpful service. Staff approach to offer help, provide useful advice. Good prices - will definitely go back.

I just went in and replaced the boots that didn't fit with another cheaper pair. The cashier even asked me to add money and was rude.
Very unhappy and definitely do not recommend it!

Update:
After seeing the store's reply, avoid misleading and update again:
1. The store never told me whether it can be returned within 14 days or 30 days. I proposed that the size was not suitable and I wanted to change another pair, which was immediately agreed.
2. The boots I bought before with a 10% discount.
3. When I was shopping for other items, the sales representative told me that he could give 10% up to 15% discount.
4. This way of doing things and attitude have nothing to do with the money difference, even if it is 1 cent.

Staff are always kind and helpful. The small space is packed with so much sports gear, new and used.

Kids grow up so fast that it is a blessing to have this business to buy sports equipment from. Especially when your kids are just trying out a new sport and aren't sure if they will continue. This is a low risk place to shop from and even sell your old stuff to as well.

I really appreciate that they offer refunds for a short while on the goods that they sell as sometimes things don't quite fit right or kids change their mind at the last moment about participating in the sport at all.

The staff their are quite accommodating and knowledgeable too.

Went in for help with moulding my skates as I felt that they didn’t fit right. Zach helped me as soon as I walked in and took the time to measure and make sure the size of my skates were correct. Turns out they were a size too big and he recommended a pair of used skates that would fit better and that fit in my budget. Not only did he help me sharpen and mould my skates. He also took time to fix my old ones so that I could use them at out door rinks. Zach was timely and friendly and gave me a level of care I haven’t experienced before. Unmatched customer service!
