Podollan Inn & Spa

Very run down in need of serious upgrades cleaning and maintenance. Walls in room and bathroom were filthy, shower needed serious cleaning, old stains on ceiling from leaking, bed is very uncomfortable, tiny TV. They took away the serve yourself continental breakfast and now have a poor selection of food which they skimp out on. We used to stay here often about 5 years ago and was a decent place but will never return due to the extremely dirty and run down feeling. I also had booked a room with a soaker tub which we did not end up getting, was disappointed but possibly a good thing given how dirty Everything else was, the bath may not have been clean either.

Was quiet and clean. Good continental type breakfast with room. Stayed for work and will stay there again.

We did stay in family room. It was clean and nice hotel. I will definitely stay there again if I visit Grand Prairie next time.

Horrible experience
They have one room for handicap and when I arrived, it felt l like a furnace was on.
I called-they said they would send maintenance.
After waiting almost an hour, I called back and they explain maintenance doesn’t work in the evenings and I said OK so who was going to let me know and I couldn’t open the window to the room. I didn’t sleep at all that night the next day maintenance still never came so they switched me rooms which was not a handicap.
Then daytime managers explained the bottom floor does not have air-conditioning, so I don’t know what the hotel was trying to tell me, maintenance was coming to fix the air conditioning that doesn’t exist on the bottom floor.
Never even attempted to extend any deduction on the room from hellish night before.

Working night shift, very quiet was given a top floor end of hall room. My room was still cleaned after I left for my shift. Had to change plans and shorten my reservation, no hassle, no extra day charge

Very relaxing atmosphere. Service is awesome. Went for pedicure, can't wait for my manicure.

Hotel is very outdated and definitely needs some renos. The hallway floors are broken underneath the carpet. Linens are old, dirty, stained. Housekeeping is almost non existent. Pet friendly rooms all smell like urine. My dog was actually rolling on whatever the smell was in the one room. The room walls are just beat right up. Furniture is also falling apart. One room actually had a falling apart water logged bathroom ceiling.

After all the terrible reviews I was very skeptical.my room on the 3rd floor was very nice.clean, comfortable.lots of well lit parking.breakfast was free.with waitstaff and there were zero complaints from us. Sorry I doubted it.

For us, were one us had a stroke, the hotel is not very accommodating. Jax is not accommodating for handicap, there’s stairs to get to a table or tall bar stools. There are some tables stationed outside the restaurant but the seating is meant for small children.
I am told that one of the elevators has not been working for the last two years.
There are several spot walking done our hallway were the floor is loose.
The shower that is a walk in, the sliding glass door doesn’t allow much of an opening for my handicap wife to get into.
They DO NOT have a wheelchair for easy access.
When the room was booked the hotel was informed that a chair for the shower was needed which they provided. But the room that they assigned was the farthest from the elevator. I had to go back to the front desk to get a different room which they did provide.
But experience this morning at breakfast after the prior day. This morning the waitress took our order delivered the food and we didn’t see her again. I had to see someone else to sign our receipt. Needless to say the waitress got a zero tip versus the prior day’s waitress received a 20%.
We will be looking at the Holiday Inn located beside this hotel the next time in GP.
