Horrible experience with PODS head office. I have nothing against the people at this particular location, and I actually had a great experience with the driver from this location, but the customer service I received from PODS head office is absolutely horrendous. I highly recommend using any other container moving company instead of using PODS.

What a fantastic experience from start to finish. I made a move from Denver to Calgary and everything went seem less. The price was exactly what they initially quoted me. I also want to give a shout out to Glen Minner at the Calgary office. He was super helpful in getting me thru the customs process

Dont bother to call this company, just call Cube It instead. Worst experience I've ever had with a business. The quoting online didn't make sense and was giving me different prices. When I called in to have my questions cleared up the support rep was unable to answer questions. Eventually I just asked to book through the phone call with the rep. It took 40 painful minutes to place the order. Never received a confirmation email or anything to confirm. Was expecting a confirmation call on Sunday night. Nothing. Logged into my portal, no order placed. Called them they couldn't help. Asked to speak to a manager to see if they could salvage it, 5 day delay.

Wow. Great experience with PODS. Loved that I could take my time loading my stuff without the stress of getting a Uhaul. I thought it was like other bins where they tilted it back and dragged it off. If you’ve never seen it loaded and unloaded with the lift you should check it out on YouTube.

Ordering the pod online and having a storage pod delivered and moved super convenient. But not super happy they are not up front with the pricing. When I made the pod order I put in all the information moving from this location to this one needing storage for a period of time. It was not clear the amount they quoted was not going to be the total amount. Cost ended up being significant higher then expected.

The delivery driver was super short with us, and not friendly. And they charge you for the pod monthly even if you schedule a pick up 2 days into the month, they do not prorate- just a warning!

Also came here to add: I was charged a non paved ground fee, that was never disclosed in any contracts I signed. They charged the fee without informing me. I will be disputing these charges. Honestly STAY FAR AWAY!

Glen called to let me know he was in the way and was very accommodating to the placement needs with my neighbours in mind thank you!

Despite a minor mixup delivering the wrong pod (easy mistake to have made), they figured it out and got the right pod to us still within the delivery window. Nicely done! The team in Calgary are first rate.

Great company to work with. The manager, Glenn, was very helpful when we arrived to the office and helped explain the entire process from booking to pickup. Very knowledgeable.
The drivers, James and Ricky, were excellent.

This was my best car storage experience. I dropped off my car and Glenn helped me back it in the container and get the battery disconnected. At pickup we had it connected and ready to drive away in about 10 minutes. Car was inside a container inside a building all winter. Will be parking it there again next year.

Ricky B.came with our POD and talked through our options on dropping it in a difficult location. His skill matched only by his high level of professionalism allowed us to easily navigate the area and empty our 16ft container in no time. We highly recommend PODS to anyone looking to move, be it a house or apartment or anything in between.

Just had a pod deliverd by Alok of the Calgary office. Our spot was small and very tight to get into. What a great job he did handeling that machine. His customer service to us and our neighbours as he put it in place was excellent, absolutly top notch. I hope he is the driver that pickes up the Pod after we are done.

My intention was to hire PODS soon - just read their ad - but a great big THANK YOU! To all those ex PODS clients that wrote all those honest and negative reviews. I noticed the wishy-washy replies of the owner, which alarmed me, too. All together: scary stuff. I have been saved by yet another horrible moving experience. Bye!

So happy with pods. Sadly this review is many months late, but i will definitely use them again. They, unlike other container storage companies treat your unit with a great deal of care - no damage and the unit was never “tossed around”. Our driver “Alok” was amazing at how much care he took in placing our bin. I highly recommend this company!

Very easy to deal with. No wait times over the phone. Agents are very friendly. Every driver was kind, always on time and always called ahead. Contents arrived in excellent condition, after travelling across two provinces.

Very bad customer service, 0 experience drivers, let me wait him for over an hour. When you move out everything is good, when you move in, they have a lot of problems with the delivery, until you have to pay more than the bill. Don’t trust the customer saying, don’t choose the PODS anymore, if you have other choices.

Do not do business with these crooks. They will go into your bank account and take money contrary to the agreement without your permission with impunity. And they will give you the run-around when you confront them.
Use ANY other service provider.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Avoid this company at all costs - I know they give really "competitive" rates, but in the end they will charge you more than quoted & be a nightmare to work with. Our belongings have been mis-delivered twice now and each time pods charge us for their mistakes! Over 2 months now still waiting for our delivery, and every other day we have a new unauthorized charge on our account from pods. Like so many other reviewers on here, we have spent countless frustrated hours on the phone just trying to get our things and money back. Communication within the company and to their customers is outrageously poor, along with their customer service. I wish we never chose to use pods.

UPDATE SINCE POSTING: I emailed the below email address from them “owners response” soon after their comment - I will update if I receive a response, but given their track record and all the other reviews, I will not hold my breath.

EDITING AGAIN FOR UPDATES: Our pod was thankfully, FINALLY delivered, but it was like pulling teeth to get it. HOWEVER, PODS has charged us over $1,500 over our estimate, and over $800 additional they said they would credit back on top of that. All because of their mistakes! We've take our card off auto-pay but they continue to charge it! This company is absolutely unreal and impossible to deal with. We've wasted hours of our time and thousands of dollars on them.do not make the same mistake we did.

These guys made my move so much easier than I ever thought it could be. They stored all of my belongings, I went to Peru for vacation and I returned to the container waiting for me at the new house like clockwork!

Honestly if I could give zero stars I would this was a completely terrible and stressful experience after already having to try to move. Fair warning they will lie to you about places they will ship their pods to and then try to charge you even more months worth of money. Staff doesn't listen in the customer service phone line and instead will just talk over and ignore you. I'd recommend any other moving and storage company that won't rip you off of money or time.

I noticed PODS truck coming from Calgary Alberta to Okotoks Alberta. They are regularly using 32 street to access Okotoks. Road is signed No commercial trucks local delivery only. Wanted to talk to dispatch and have drivers use trucking routes. I got zero help from PODs regarding this. No customer help line not even a phone number. Finally got a guy in Florida who was no help and he said basically your out of luck if you want to talk to anyone regarding the illegal actions of said drivers. How is it that a major company like yours does not have to follow the laws but we do. Do you care if your drivers are driving where they should not be? Any way it started as a simple request to use approved routes and snowballed into frustration as it appears you don't give a hoot. I was expecting more from your company and will never do business with you again. Not a good review for PODs. Please pass this along to management as you probably won't post this. Thanks

Was originally quoted to ship to Calgary then changed to Edmonton (3 hours further), logistically we were more or less screwed into an extra $2000 to ship container back to Calgary.
And every price quote was below what was finally charged.

I didn’t have a great experience while picking up some containers going to Quebec. I came at 8 in the morning and waited till 3 past noon just for three containers. They didn’t have a guy to load the truck but some of their drivers were keep coming and leaving. At 3: 30 one of the driver loaded the truck finally. I don’t know who is at mistake there either broker or company. But please make sure to call 24hrs prior of loading, As per them.

Beware - Falsely advertised prices!

We received a quote online after which we called in to book. Once the pod was delivered we noticed we got charged more than what our quote was. The system was down so we could not see what or why we were being charged extra. When we called, we were told that the prices online are not correct and that a supervisor would call back to discuss the added charges. We didn't hear back. After multiple attempts of calling back we were finally informed that we "should have" been notified of the extra charges when we booked (but we were not) and again, the prices online are not accurate as they are just a base. So now we are paying double the price each way for delivery, local moving, and pick up of the pod. This is complete false advertisement! Why ask us to input the address and postal code to give an unrealistic quote? Would not use again or recommend.

If you are comparing with BigSteelBox, they were much easier to call and talk to someone and in hindsight we now know has better pricing, even for a larger storage container.

Terrible service! Stay away! Far far away!

I submitted a request for a quote online.

It told me to call in with my quote number.

I did that and the rep could not find the quote. She asked for all the info again. 20 mins later she told me her system is down. She said that tech will look at it and she will call me back.

In the meantime she transfer me to someone else to see if they could quote me.

The 2nd rep was rude and after 20ins again said she cant help me. That's it. All she said was she can't help.

I went to Facebook and chatted with them.they said there is no issue. I had to ask them to have some contact me.they said they would. 3 days later nothing.followed up 2 times and was promised the same.then someone emailed me asking to call me the next day. I said yes.no call.then another email asking to call me in 2 days! Worst service ever! What kind of business doesn't want to get new clients? !?

If this is how they handle quotes.or not handle quotes.how will they handle your personal items. Terrible!

There is only one word to describe the service of PODS in Calgary, which is absolutely -> outstanding. The manager of the operation, Kevin, is an individual who is dedicated like nobody else to go out of his way for his customers. I have been using PODS services in Calgary for many years now, so this review is from someone who really can testify, better than most reviews, about this excellence in every aspect of the operation. If there were 10 stars I'd put all 10 of them to make this point clear (there are only 5!).
