Pod was delivered before delivery window. Driver contacted while we were asleep. They placed the Pod in the incorrect position and blocked our car in the garage. We called to have it moved so we could get out of our garage and they took a day to move the Pod. They also charged us a considerable fee for this correction. Avoid this service as it is not satisfactory in any way.

Started off great! Then the service started going down! Hard to book the pick ups and drop offs online would barely work. Then when time to drop off at my new house it went horrible. Wouldn't let me schedule Then I tried calling weeks in advance no answers. Then they called didn't even say sorry or anything booked me in after my move in date (my kids beds in the pod) so they slept on the floor they didn't even care that that happened. Never ever again. And they still charged me for their mess up. Absolutely horrible.

Awful! I booked a POD to arrive Aug 7th, 1.5 months ago. I called weekly as they provide nothing in writing. I called last on July 31st and all was set. Aug 1st just before closing time I received a voicemail that they don't have any available.

Would not recommend PODS if doing a large move. We moved from BC to AB and it was chaos from the beginning. I will spare most of the details, but the biggest issue was that the truck broke down somewhere in between BC and AB and PODS didn't notify me until 1pm the day before the POD was to be delivered. The truck had been broken down for over a week at this point, but when I looked online it said that the truck had reached its destination in AB 5 days prior. At this point the 24hr flight cancellation insurance I had purchased for me and my kid to fly out the next day was useless, and my husband was already halfway to AB with our friends who were helping us. PODS told me that they would reimburse me for the expenses accrued as a result of this, so I sent in hotel receipts and food. By the time the POD was delivered, all the help we had brought with us had to fly back to BC, so my husband and I unloaded everything ourselves.

I have been trying to get my reimbursement from PODS since March 9, and as of March 22nd I have been totally ghosted. Emails are unanswered, and each time I call I am promised that someone will be in touch with me. And I have received absolutely nothing.

In talking to others who have moved across provinces to AB, it my story is not unique. It sounds like if there are any issues at all, you are given the runaround and nothing is dealt with.

There are tons of other companies that advertise doing what PODS does, and I would really look into those before choosing PODS. All of their call centre employees are also in a work-from-home situation, so it's near impossible to speak to a supervisor of any sort.

After being a 5 year customer, was informed I was 90 days in arrears. They should be letting me know at the 30 days mark. Their voicemails and emails should be clearly identified as coming from PODS (and to be responded to) rather than the spam, fraud and phishing schemes that are now a part of everyday online crime. As soon as I can, I’ll be emptying out my unit and getting rid of PODS forever.

The move itself went fine, but their bookkeeping is HORRIBLE. Before we booked, we saw there were lots of customers who complained they were overcharged on their credit cards. We decided to pay with bank drafts instead of giving them a credit card. Guess what? The driver who delivered the POD didn't even know he was supposed to get the cheque from us. He took the cheque so we thought that would be the end of it.

A few weeks later we were contacted that we still owed the last payment and we sent copies of the cheques which they acknowledged receiving.

It is now 6 months after and we get a collection agency letter stating we still owe. Now we have the hassle of proving once again this was paid in full.

I thought by paying COD and not by credit card we wouldn't have to deal with horrible accounting and hassles like collections. Unfortunately they still screwed up big time and have wasted a lot of our time not to mention the stress of their incompetence.

UPDATE TO THE COMPANY’S REPLY:
There is no misunderstanding of the charges. The fees were acceptable and paid by three bank drafts (at original delivery, date of move, and date of pickup of empty POD). The bank cheques were given to each of the drivers. We were later contacted by Danika, the original rep, that 2 of the payments were not credited to the account. She was sent and she acknowledged getting copies of those cheques we gave the drivers. A final demand for payment was received in January and we once again provided proof of payment. This week we received a collection attempt from a collection agency.

How are you going to fix this once and for all, PODS?

The quote I was given was very deceiving. I was charged $365 to have my pod delivered and rented for a month. And I was not aware that I would get charged an additional $154 and $135 for pickup. They literally drove my POD 10 kms away to my new house. I am extremely disappointed that I paid $700 bucks. I should of just paid to hire movers for thar price.
To top it off I was in the middle of a conversation with customer service and she hung up on me and couldn't even bother calling me back.

I had a great experience over the phone with my quote and order! The 16 foot container I ordered had great space for my stuff. The delivery driver (JC or Jaycee or JZ fron Edmonton) was very friendly, nice, and accommodating! Kudos to him for an excellent job! I called PODS to make changes to the pick up date as I had emptied it sooner than expected and it was very easy and was scheduled quickly and pick up was a breeze! Thank you PODS for everything and you made my family's move from East to West of Canada easy! I will definitely recommend PODS!

Ordering and scheduling a POD was fairly easy. Rescheduling online or reaching customer service is where the wheels fall off for this company.

I had tried a few times to use the website to reschedule my POD, but the site was not functioning properly. When I went to use the Chat feature, they said that it was only in use for US customers and that I had to call in.

I called in, but they were closed, even though the website stated that there is Customer Support available 7 days a week.

Because of this, I was charged for the delivery and when I cancelled, PODS charged me a $100 cancellation fee because they stated that their website states they are not open 7 days a week.

I still haven’t received my refund even though they withdrew my account a day earlier than the delivery day.

Would have rescheduled my move with them had they treated me fairly.

I want you to look outside your home at 2am, see that sketchy guy that is undoubtedly high on something? I would trust him with all my stuff before I EVER make the mistake of trusting this company again. They mess up regularly, they harass their customers, they refuse to own their mistakes, and then they charge you AFTER denying access to your property.

This has been the most stressful couple months I can recall, and PODS played one of the biggest parts of that.

Do not trust them, you deserve better!

Id give this 0 if i could. Absolutely BS company to use. Worse experience ever. Put in order online. The website changed everything on my order. Had to waste my time driving across the city because drivers have issues. Price changed because the website changed everything. Customer service will do nothing to resolve the issue. 1½ months $900 billed. Misleading company and untrustworthy

Beware the instructions on the website and emailed to you for vehicle/pods clearance are for US clients. Double check with the reps on the phone for canadian instructions. They are not sympathetic to that inconvenience either. One driver told me the confusion has been going on for 8 years. Unacceptable. They need a canadian website or a table that shows instructions for both countries. Prices are steap as well. Would try a different company next time for sure.

IF YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR MOVING EXPERIENCE MORE STRESSFUL, GET PODS. The absolute worst experience I have ever had. They picked up my things and did not ship them, instead they took it to their warehouse. It took them 15 days to ship my things from their warehouse. I had to call everyday and each agent told me something different in those 15 days I called asking for when to expect my things. When they finally shipped my things, they told me they couldn’t bring it to my place. WHICH IS NOT WHAT THEY TOLD ME WHEN I BOOKED. Eventually they did bring it to my place after I had spent almost one month sleeping on the floor because my furniture was in there. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. IF I COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. I SPENT ALMOST $4000 but all these people did was to raise my blood pressure.

The best way to move your belongings. Own time and own pace. Stack it how you want to unload it in the house.

Curtis of Edmonton, AB went above and beyond in servicing us. After learning the challenges our family experienced, he gave us enough time to load the container even it meant going beyond his usual work hours. He quickly responded to our messages and calls in calm way. He did the best he could to accommodate our requests. Thank you Curtis for the exceptional client service!

Just called to get a quote to move our house from Spruce Grove to around the Chickakoo area (about 15 minutes outside Stony Plain). I called and it mentioned that the employees were working from home. I was quickly answered by a very rude man. He was short and when I asked how he was doing today, he gave me a quick "good! How can I help you? " I told him what we were planning and he seemed annoyed because I didn't simply say that I needed a quote for moving. I was very clearly bothering him on his Saturday. He asked for a postal code of where we were moving from and to. I didn't have the postal code we were moving to. Instead of trying to help, he simply said he couldn't do anything without that. I had to find it myself without him even attempting to help in any way. I finally got the postal code. Apparently it is in the Carvel region even though it's so close to Stony Plain. He said they didn't service Carvel. I asked if there were any options in that case. He said they didn't service Carvel. I understand that he is just an employee, but he is also a CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE. Unfortunately, this man has no idea what customer service is. I'm sorry I bothered your Saturday. But don't worry, we won't be using this company again. Neither will anyone I know. There are plenty other options.

Worst service.ever. I received the 3 hr window time the night before at 9: 30pm. No one got back to me to arrange earlier pick up and move time. I wanted to be at the new location to make sure the driver could get up the hill and dropped off at the right house. He decided to contact me after he picked up the pod and stated if I wanted a specific time I would have to pay premium. Not even sure he can deliver my pod.
