I have loved Popeyes chicken ever since they opened in Edmonton. I tried the wings yesterday and was greatly disappointed. First I was told of a 10 minute wait for wing orders. The place was empty (2: 45 pm) I ordered 12 wings and a small fries. The order clerk said I need to order pop or they would charge me more. I don't drink pop so why should my fries increase in cost. So I said I'll avoid paying more for the fries, order a pop, and dump it on the ground. She said they could keep the pop but I still need to order. 10 minutes later she brought the order to my car. I got out and promptly poured the pop on the ground. I opened the wings 5 minutes later to find SOGGY without a hint of crispy. Grossly overcooked and completely saturated in hotsauce and the garlic Parm sauce. I threw them out. Now I know what a 10 minute wait in an empty restaurant is for. Worst experience ever at Popeyes. Worst wings ever.
Had a fantastic time at Popeyes! Big thanks to Manager 'Rasna' for excellent customer service, and shout-out to the cashier 'Lizel' who checked on us at the table. The food here is way tastier than other spots – loved every bite. Thank you, Popeyes crew, for making every visit awesome
Friendly prompt service at the counter. The order was quickly prepared and ready for pickup. The chicken sandwichs were crispy and tasty. A good fast food restaurant in my opinion.
Delicious as always. Crispy, flavourful, juicy chicken. Their Cajun fries are to die for, crispy outside, soft fluffy inside. Great service and very clean
The food was good for fast food chicken not bad at all the shrimp was good tasty little pricey for the amount you get. Air conditioner was going which they didn't need to have Considering it was a cold day
It was my first time to a Popeye's. The manager was warm and friendly as he served the inside guests. His rapport with the staff was excellent. Everyone was in good spirits, though it approached 11pm. The food (non-spicy chicken and spicy onion rings) was delicious. I will be eating at Popeye's again soon.
Stopped in for a quick bite. A good representative of the chain. Food was as expected based on going to Popeye's at other locations. I did have to wait on spicy chicken which took a bit longer than expected.
Ordered 3 chicken sandwiches in the drive thru, there was only one car ahead of us yet waited over 5 minutes. The sandwiches were lukewarm at best and halfway through mine, I found the chicken to be undercooked with a rubbery texture. I went in and asked for new ones to be cooked and was told that they would be 3 minutes. Went to the car, and returned 7 minutes later to be told they would bring the sandwiches out and finally received a satisfactory meal after 10 minutes. All in all wasn't a horrible experience, but could have been better.
Friend had a 2 piece chicken platter he was happy chicken cooked fresh so very hot and great taste he said. I had fish and shrimp platter wasn't my favorite would not get again but that's my choice clean and friendly staff and restraunt
They did it again for the third time! Ordered 12 pieces SPICY chicken, and what did I get? 12 pieces REGULAR chicken. Once or twice is fine, but more than that? That is very questionable
I'm not sure if they are under new management or understaffed or both but this place has gone way downhill. Service used to be fast, friendly and fresh but now it's always slow, they never have stock of regular items, missing half the pop selections and cold. It's been consistently like this my past 10 or so visits. This is a stark difference from the service I received a year or even two ago in the past
Popeye's always has friendly workers. They made sure we had all of our food correctly and made it quite fast considering how much I ordered for my co workers.
My only gripe is the chicken strips appeared undercooked, they were a bit soft and pink.
I actually tried their seafood and found it to be fantastic!
Phenomenal place! At first I drove home to find out my order was missing an item, so I went back and the staff were so amazing they re-did my entire order up fresh and even gave me an extra pie! So tasty, will always come back. Thanks everyone who helped me out!
Tried the chicken strips this time. They were every bit as good as the chicken and it appears they are made from real chicken as opposed to the formed Mccrap from the other places. Do note that the batter has some kick to it and little kids might not be able to handle the heat. Personally I like it and have tried most of the things on the menu.
This is a great place to get chicken that's out of the ordinary. The chicken they serve here is very moist, and the breading is very crumbly. This is not a tidy meal, but it is a very tasty one. The drive-through staff are quick and accurate, never once having misplaced or misheard my order. The fly in the ointment is the location. It's a bit difficult to get to, being in a main trans-provincial route, but with a bit of forward planning, it's only a little stressful to get to.
My gosh those sandwiches. Perfectly crispy, hot, fresh, just the right amount of mayo. Fries perfect. Chicken fingers delicious. The ranch dressing is so good I'd mix it into my water lines in my house if I could so I could shower in it
I ate a rancid fry from this location. The taste was truly disgusting and it smelt vile upon spitting it out. We also did not receive one of our sides. Quite upset and disappointed
Open late through drive thru. Very busy during holidays and weekends. Expect a lone on drive thru and pick up during these time. Delivery available through 3rd part food delivery providers.
Well cooked and very delicious fried chicken. It is a little bit more expensive than the competitors such as KFC. But definitely more delicious. They make the best gravy sauce too. However, I didn't like the fried fish and shrimp they make.
