Porta Romana Restaurant

So delicious! I had the best Chicken Parmasean here! The atmosphere is quiet, comfortable and classy. Highly recommend for a date night or even a casual dinner.

Service was fantastic

I took my family that was visiting from AUS last night and had a wonderful time. Great atmosphere, excellent service and wonderful meals. Just a great experience at this local family owned business.

We enjoyed an amazing birthday dinner at Porta Romana on Saturday. On special were the Mussels in garlic wine and they were fantastic! We also enjoyed the Calamari, Beef Carpaccio, Seafood Cannelloni and Baked Lasagne. All fresh ingredients and prepared beautifully! Excellent service and wonderful Christmas atmosphere. Afterward we walked across the street to enjoy the Christmas Tree lights in the park.

We started coming here shortly after they opened up, It started as a treat with the amazing food, Great ambiance and service, Now it is our go to restaurant. Now when we go elsewhere we compare everywhere we go to Porta Romana, always coming back. We have never been disappointed, never had a bad meal. Prices and portions are very reasonable, whether you are going out for a treat or looking for a great go to, it is a Must Try!

We wanted a nice sit down restaurant and my husband found this place. Even though we didn't have a reservation (recommended) they were able to find us a table and made us feel welcome.

My sister and I were craving pasta and were not disappointed with the great selection at Porta Romano! We ordered the tortellini and the butternut squash ravioli and both were great with lots of flavour! Our server Megan was lovely and very attentive as well. The ambience is nice, not too loud and relaxing. We also enjoyed a couple classes of wine. Price point is moderate (slightly less than Sorrentinos but I’d argue this is better quality and I’d prefer to support local).

We came across this amazing restaurant by chance as we were at a junior A camp across the road at the arena. We booked a reso and were blown away with the food. The second we stepped foot in the restaurant we were blown away with the amazing garlic smell! The staff and owners were so friendly and so amazing. And the food…. WOW the food was some of the BEST Italian food we’ve ever had! Now every time we are visiting Spruce Grove we make sure we can stop in for some dinner! We are super excited to come back next weekend! My kids are super excited.

One of the best Italian restaurants in the surrounding Edmonton area. Pastas and sauces made in house and most specials are sourced locally. If your looking for good Italian food for a decent price this is one of top choices.

On the menu they have lamb rack which should consist of 8 chops, a half rack being 4 chops. What I received was only 2 chops. For the price that's totally unacceptable and misrepresented. Very small portion size on other main dishes but well presented and tasty. Overall poor value for the price.

This is such a lovely gem of a restaurant. The food is always amazing. So fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is casual elegance and very comfortable. The staff are excellent and I would recommend for any evening out.

Service was really good but the food was just okay. I had the Halibut and it was really dry. Would give the restaurant another try, though.

We had a great lunch. The restaurant was surprisingly empty over lunch. Great service from the team and the food was great. We'll definitely go back again.

Great dinner at Porta Romana which is a family run dining establishment in Spruce Grove.

The food is wonderful. Extremely generous servings and delicious flavors.

The space is cozy and more of a traditional dining space.

Our server was wonderful but had to switch out at the end of the evening. Our second server was a bit too attentive and seemed very awkward in her delivery.

Outside of the server switch over, it was a lovely evening and a very solid 4 x for this local community dining experience.

Nice restaurant with great food options. The menu was easy to go through and the prices were reasonable. The staff were friendly and pretty helpful and the decor was really nice. Check this place out if you get the chance!

We drive 40 minutes to come to Porta Romana for supper every chance we get. Not once have we been disappointed in the service or food. Top notch quality restaurant and well worth the drive. The owners take pride in their craft and it shows.

Absolutely love the food and service at this family-owned restaurant. It's definitely our go-to place when we want great night out. Buon appetito!
