Post Hotel & Spa

We stayed for one night. It is a beautiful older hotel, cozy and well decorated for Christmas. We ate at their pub, we didn’t want to spend >140/person plus drinks. The food at the pub was disappointing. We shared the burger and steak. The smash burger was probably the most disappointing burger we’ve ever had - considering it’s 30$. The steak was ok - cooked well, and we enjoyed the Brussels and potato.

We didn’t end up eating breakfast at the restaurant in the morning as we were worried that it would be similar quality to the night before. Overall it was a good experience!

My wife and I didn't stay at the Hotel but we did enjoy a fabulous dining experience in the restaurant. The hotel was decked out with festive season decorations. The décor is very warm and cozy and had an alpine chalet feeling to it. The staff were extremely friendly and very welcoming. We were even luck enough to be give a tour of the wine cellars which hold an impressive 22,000 bottles. We were greeted with a pianist playing Christmas melodies as we settled into the bar for some pre dinner drinks. Meni mixed us some interesting cocktails before we were shown to our table for dinner. Dining in this restaurant was definitely on of the culinary highlights of our trip to Canada. Reservations are an absolute must but definitely worth planning ahead. Thanks to Will and the other staff for a fabulous night.

Very beautiful hotel with historic significance. Great atmosphere, good rooms and great service.

Stayed here for the night when checking off Moraine Lake offy bucket list. Beautiful property, friendly staff. No central AC so be aware if going during a heat wave like us. Found a fan in the closet and opened the windows and doors (screened) all night. Shuttle is currently not working so had to pay a lot more to use an off site service for the 4 of us.

We had a great one-night stay at this hotel. The private jacuzzi tub in the bathroom and the public salt water pool, hot tub and steam room were all fantastic. After days of hiking and eating in upscale restaurants surrounded by people, we were relieved this hotel offered room service (most places we stayed at did not). We also had massages at the spa within this hotel. The spa facilities were amazing, and we wish we had realized they had spotless steam rooms and whirlpools in the spa changing rooms, as we would have planned to spend more time at the spa. The massages themselves were only ok.extremely light touch, not sure any knots were worked out since it was so weak. Also, my masseuse decided to douse my scalp in peppermint oil, which got really close to my eyes and burned like heck. If, like me, you are not a fan of peppermint oil near your face, you might want to say something beforehand. It made it hard to enjoy the rest of massage since my eyes and scalp were burning. For the price, I would not recommend getting a massage here, but I would recommend the hotel.

Very private, free parking, free WiFi. The service is outstanding and professional. At 26,000 bottles, the wine selection is quite amazing. The dining is exquisite. Check the website for further details. AAA 4 Diamond at least 4 years and counting and chosen as the best in the Americas.

Great location with river views, walking paths with bridges over the streams and river, and fast access to nearby shops. Hotel and rooms have a worn in but comfortable luxury look and feel. Prices are high but you get a luxury mountain experience.

Classy place. Right up there w/ its European peers in places in Kitzbühel, St. Moritz or Lech.

Went for our annual skiing trip back to Canada. Besides the US, we skied and stayed in many places in Austria and Switzerland.

The Post Hotel is absolutely on par w/ the best.

The hotel is low key, yet has class and an authentic style. It offers all the amenities one would expect from a top rated destination, yet in a casual and unassuming atmosphere.

Service was impeccable; staff was professional, personable and friendly at all times. The food offerings and wine selection… HEAVENLY. Chef of Swiss decent, need to say more?

For the discerning guest, who does not require the flashiness of ritzy resorts but prefers winter sport in a classy, elegant yet casual atmosphere, The Post Hotel is THE place to go (or return) to in Lake Louise.

My partner and I went for dinner at The Post yesterday evening. It was by far the culinary highlight of our trip in Lake Louise. The food was exceptional and the service was seamless from start to finish. The sommeliers Julian and William were top notch and made some great recommendations. Our only regret is not going more than once!

Mediocre, had the ribs in the Pub, expected better as they were rather lean and kind of tough.

Our first experience here and we will definately be back. Lovely hotel, staff and really great service!

What a gem! Lake Louise is crowded, but plenty of less traveled hikes around. And then yo come back to a nice swim and sauna followed by a delicious meal - you can’t beat it.

We had a fantastic stay at the Post Hotel. We booked the Whitehorn Cabin which was fabulous and quaint, with a beautiful view next to the river. The hotel staff were always friendly and professional. The spa was relaxing - I would recommend budgeting extra time to use the hot tub and steam rooms before or after your massage. We ate at the Outpost Pub which had a succulent burger. Highly recommended!

Amazing stay at the Post Hotel! We felt like we were royalty our entire stay. Perfect spot to spend a honeymoon as it was quiet, clean, with amazing food and service! Would highly recommend the romance package to anyone who wants to spend quality time with their partner!

Spa review: got my nails done (Mani Pedi) and it was really expensive and honestly not worth it. The tech was lovely but none of the add ons were worth the price. I also don't think my nails were done that great.

We were there for Mother’s Day brunch. What an experience. I didn’t take many photos because we were so busy enjoying the experience. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and extremely attentive! The buffet was beautifully laid out with choices for all. The wine sommelier was wonderful and identified a bottle that was exquisite! I would encourage everyone to try the restaurant on a special occasion! It will not disappoint!

We did the fine dining in the restaurant of the Post Hotel & Spa twice within 5 days! We consider this to be the best restaurant in the regions of Lake Louise & Banff in terms of its food quality, dish presentation, very attentive services, plus the elegant and comfy seating environment. We believe that the restaurant preserves the best traditions of western foods and services very well, even after our first patronage 7 years ago! Our 2-times server, Sylvan is super, very attentive and has served us very well! Highly recommend to those diners who demand top-notched food quality and services. It certainly worth every dollar spent. Look forward to be back very soon!
