Poulin's Pest Control Edmonton

Came in needing help and BAM! Got the help I needed. I can’t recommend this place more! Thanks for your superior customer service and knowledge.

I called Poulin's to request removal of a bald-faced hornet's nest in our yard. The rep on the phone proceeded to recommend I just spray and remove myself. I told her I didn't have a protective suit and hornets are particularly aggressive. She said just wear long sleeves and do it at dawn or dusk and it would be fine. I called Edmonton Exterminators instead and they came out right away - the man took one look at the nest and went to put on a full protective suit. He removed it very efficiently and for a great price. Would highly recommend Edmonton Exterminators - fast, cheap, professional, efficient.

I don't mind paying a little extra for quality products. Yes they are a little pricey however the staff was not pushing me to buy anything which is a plus.
My friend who lives in an apartment building inherited bed bugs from some not so careful neighbors. Her suite was " sprayed " yesterday and as usual our slum owner hired a cheap incompetent outfit so as usual we are going to have to do most of the work and spray the stuff that they were supposed to but didn't. Anyways I digress sorry about that.
Education is power and we spent almost an hour asking questions which they answered and we were never rushed.

Great job and friendly staff treating our Cockroach issue. Will definitely recommend and use them again!

We had one shared up and down suite that was badly being infected by cockroaches found in March, 2022, right after the tenants moved out, we connected Poullin's in Edmonton and with the tremendous help from their whole office staff, including Shane the manager, we fought with this terrible infection for the next nearly 3 months with multiple treatments, inspections, coordinating with downstairs residents who are not happy at all with multiple accesses and treatments, the end result is the likely thousands cockroaches have been all killed

Overall, we are very happy with the great service provided by this company and would have no problem to recommend them to anyone who need tough jobs done related to pest control.

Sprayed the units a few times had 0 success. No follow up no nothing. Pests still persisted and flourished. Had to hire another company

Never used them but i often see their trucks flying past me on any given road or smoking up before driving. Safety seems to be of little concern to them.

Good post control place. Has a variety of bug poison etc. Theres also a pharmacy at the end of the road near 118 Ave called Nolans Drugs

Anytime I have needed information they have been very helpful and have solutions very reasonably priced!

Make sure you are watching if they are even service your site or do they just sit in their trucks!?

Unable to solve simple complaint and then blame the customer that pays them!

This guys did cockroach treatment in our apartment building for almost a year now, Until now we still have issue with cockroach. I ask the property manager to find other company that can solve the problem. Also this guys charge to much. If there is below 1 star for review that will be there mark.

My landlord rental company blamed it on "the contractors" that I would only get 4 days notice to pack up my entire family for 12-24 hours, take time off work and prepare my apartment. You are apparently the said contractors, so I am not impressed with the way you schedule on short notice for "preemptive" spraying.

Big thank you to John, he came out and took care of us same day and he didn't try to sell us on anything we didn't need. I highly appreciate that honesty and it makes me comfortable recommending them to friends and family knowing they won't be gouged.

Tried to ask them to exterminate some of my relatives for the cockroaches that they are. They kindly told me that was illegal.

Sorry, I meant to submit a review a few weeks ago and I’m sorry I didn’t My mother had a serious issue with bed bugs in her apartment, the property manager then called poulins and on the day of the heat treatment I was there to help my mom gather some stuff up and bring her to Calgary and we watched mike bring in his equipment and get set up. My mother and I were all set to leave to calgary AND THEN MY my truck would not start and I needed to be in Calgary in 5 hours for graduation my mom was outside the try crying the poulins tech asked if he could take a look and after a few minutes he said it should be towed shop I told him that was not in my budget at all and nobody around to help. Mike said he needed 15 mins to get things going and he would see what he could do to help. He then came back talking to somebody on the phone and asked where we would like towed to in Calgary and a five star review is not enough for what happened next a great big AMA deck truck came around back and loaded up my truck and took my mother and I right to my university for graduation took my truck to North Star ford and brought back a courtesy vehicle all at no charge. I can’t stress enough how thankful I am for companies like Poulins when they go above and beyond cure a problem and save the day.

Excellent service, followed up afterwards to ensure no further bugs left. Staff was very professional and prompt. Also very informative to ensure best service for your buck. Great company

Deeply disappointed. Years ago Poulin’s was a great business, but the past several times I have tried to do business with them, it seems to be that excuses, then defensive superior attitude, and even fibs have become normal. I don’t know what has happened behind the scenes, but that’s enough punishment for me, going elsewhere. Not recommended.

They have many types of pest controls but they specialized in rats i guess. Helped me with my business need. Also price is firm and reasonable. Definetely recommended.

This company is a scam! They will falsify the presence of bugs in your property so you can pay for their useless service.
Some one please have a hidden camera and let's catch these evil people. They plant bugs in your property to make money off you with the building Management. Never let them be alone in your place. They literally threw a bunch of bugs in my place. I will catch you on camera and sue you thieves.

MY STORY

A few months back you did a K9 bedbug inspection and claimed I had bedbugs which I reluctantly accepted. I am very wary of bedbugs and always on the alert, I also take preventative steps to avoid bedbugs. I had never had any bites or seen a single bedbug in my bedroom. But you insisted I had bedbugs. This is something you can not even prove. Nevertheless, I accepted the compulsory treatment Imposed by building management and footed the over $1500 in fees and inconvenience. I was sure I had no bedbugs! You claimed my unit had "bedbug activity", when you have bedbugs they will at some point bite you and leave bite marks too. They will also be seen eventually.

Don't get mistaken, I'm not bitter that you found bedbugs in my unit, if they were there, I would be glad you found them and have you treat my unit. Nobody wants those mischievous creatures in their house.

Fast forward, recently you again did your "routine inspection". K9s have been proven to have a bedbug detection accuracy rate of at least 97%. That pretty good.

That very night after the inspection I was awoken by a bedbug crawling on my hand. Oh what a coincidence! Where did that solo bedbug come from? This has never happened to me. A skinny hungry bedbug crawls up my hand the same day you did your "inspection"? Yeah right!?

Here is the funny part, YOU DIDN'T CALL BACK TO SAY I HAVE BEDBUG ACTIVITY AFTER THIS RECENT INSPECTION! You clearly planted bugs in my unit for your next "inspection" so you can say I have bedbug activity and charge me to treat the unit again (harvest)

I'm very very upset with Poulin's pest control and will do whatever I can to expose whoever is doing this evil. I hope someone out there can come up with a similar experience. Whats annoying is all the inconvenience you put tenants through, all sorts of fees if units are not prepared for inspection, or if they happen to miss an inspection appointment with your arrogant stuff.

I'm a rational person and tried think it through this ordeal. Could it be you dog that's not doing the job right, if that's the case, that would be very unfair to the general public if you have any false bedbug detection. Treatment is very expensive, destructive and traumatizing for most people.

Other than that check the honesty or your staff, someone may colluding with management to rip off unsuspecting clients.
According to your website you have decades in the business, i don't think you have been successful by ripping off people, I therefore need answers.
