I am so disgusted to see a cashier handling/begging vegetables with the same gloves on that she is handling the cash with. I called her out on this practice, and all she said was "people are supposed to clean their vegetables anyways. " I have reported this concern to the health inspector. I will not be back. Gross. Many people do not bleach their vegetables and water alone cannot kill nasty germs on money. It is why we have safe food handling practices in place. Seemed to not care about people's health at all so I'm left to wonder if they even wash their hands after going to the bathroom? I am baffled by how cold she was to my concern. And just kept on what she was doing. No concern at all. I have since made a phone call about this. Not okay.
Prairie Farms is a fantastic store. I believe in supporting local farmers and businesses. I was supporting another market, however, needed to find a similar market for many reasons. I am so thrilled to have found Prairie Farms. The produce is amazing, the store is well laid out, the staff are fantastic. If you love fresh vegetables that taste amazing. I highly recommend Prairie Farms and don't forget to pick up eggs. AMAZING.
I want to support small businesses - too bad this one isn’t worthy to support. I took a tray of peaches to the cashier, after looking through them all selecting the nicest ones, and left to go get eggs. When I took my groceries home I discovered the cashier took some of the large peaches out of the tray and exchanged them for small ones. You were better off charging me more for the peaches,
The new location is bright and spacious, but the products are disappointing. I picked up bags of beautiful looking apples, apricots and peaches, they are free of pesticides but have absolutely no taste. The navel oranges are as bad as they look, dried and bland inside. It was a waste of money.
Went to take a look in as this was my first time in. In the few minutes I stepped in I had 4 staff ask me if I needed help. I don't mind being asked, but when 4 people ask in less than 5 minutes of being there, it was extremely uncomfortable. Couldn't even shop as I felt like the staff would just follow me threw the store the more I was in there. Very unpleasant first experience there.
Edit: being "helpful and friendly" is being asked once. Not multiple times after seconds being in. Owners response makes it clear to me to go elsewhere
Such a great store! Staff is always welcoming, they offer high quality items with great prices! It has become my go-to place for eggs, produce and poultry!
Nice little spot. Things were fresh. Staff friendly. Bought free run eggs. A flat was $12. Higher than a grocery store but more natural. Liked the look of the produce. Will go again.
What a fantastic little market! All local produce and meats (Alberta and BC) ; no pesticides or herbicides. The owners and staff are so friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
Such an awesome little store! Went here today for the first time and the prices were fantastically reasonable and the customer service was great! This is a great place to get fresh produce.
