Primacy - Clareview Family Medical Clinic

The receptionist was very rude, a caucasian, black hair female. Last time I visited this clinic I was in my work uniform and got a mask (from a different receptionist) before seeing the doctor. Today I came in my plain clothes and basically felt like I was taking their last mask. The receptionist asked me if I had a mask in my car and because most places that require masks offer masks. The receptionist made it clear to me that it was their mask she was giving me which I'm sure is covered through AHS and tax payer dollars. I thanked her for the mask and apologized. As I waited for the doctor to give me my paperwork another female came in the clinic without a mask and was told it was ok and she was even taken to a separate waiting room.

It would be nice to be treated equally from all receptionist with basic customer service skills and same equal treatment for all patients. It also shouldn't matter status/uniform of the individual going back to EQUAL treatment. Hopefully this helps management realize more training is need with basic customer service skills.

If I could come here all the time I would! Dr. Ho is the best doctor I have seen in years. He listened to everything I said really well and gave me workouts to help with the problems I came in with. Can’t recommend this place enough. I did not catch the name of the lady at the front desk but she was so nice too!

Staff have always been helpful never rude to me, or others when there. This is the best clinic I have been to.

When i called the receptionist was an absolutely cow. They dont take walk ins nor do they ever take in new clients according to the chick over the phone.

They are the 3 famous and best doctors in Edmonton!
I hope DR SO or DR Ho can take my boys as their family doctor. My son almost turn 18 soon! - still waiting to get them as my children's family doctor.

Physicians seem competent, however unnecessary over charge for services. Needed a statement form filled out, according to AHS the fee for this service is $75. This clinic charges $225! Complete gouging!

Dr Ho as been my family DR for all my family sent he as open shop he is one of the best drs iv seen and we all will see him as long as we live in Edmonton

Dr Ho has been our family doctor for 4 years now, we couldn't have asked for a better doctor. He is an amazing doctor and cares so much about your health.

Every time I’ve came here the doctor was ignorant to me he has no social skills once so ever. He seen my 2 year old son barely looked look at him and just sent him home told me give him Tylenol he just had a virus not even a week later he declined in health to the point he couldn’t even hold his head up, took him to a different doctor and he had a really bad ear infection as well as tonsillitis. NEVER BRING YOUR CHILDREN HERE!

I have not seen a Dr.as arrogant and condescending as Dr. Yamamoto. I waited an hour to see him. And when my turn came, he wouldnt even listen to my concerns, he made me feel rushed and laughed at me standing over my head making me feel stupid. I have never been to this clinic since.

Do not go to the doctor Yamamoto, if he is even the doctor. He doesn’t care about patients and very rude to his staff. Avoide him if you care about your health.

I've been going to Dr. Ho at this clinic since it opened. He is very patient, kind and will take his time with you to ensure all of your questions are answered. I will continue coming back here to him.

Great place only if you see dr ho.he really cares and listens to you.dr Yamamoto is excessive at being junk! Hes rude and wants you in and out as quick as he can with zero care for you.will never make the mistake of seeing him again.dr so is not very good either, his medical knowledge is pretty sketchy. He told my wife and i that the reason she was late was she was having a miscarriage.our girl is now 4yrs old.thanks for the scare.also junk.see dr ho he has been really great.

After reading the other reviews, I feel a bit better knowing I wasn't the only person to have such a terrible experience with Dr. Yamamoto. I went to him after having insanely terrible abdomen pains; so bad I couldn't stand up. I described how bad the pain was and I was waved off after a few seconds with the doctor and wrong information on my symptoms. 2 weeks later I was still having the same reoccurring pains, but now it had spread to my lower back as well. Again, sometime so bad I couldn't stand up or breathe at times. I went back to Dr. Yamamoto and explained to him specifically that I think I might have kidney stones. He basically laughed at my concerns and told me I'm wrong about that. He said he could send me for an x-ray but "it would be a waste of time". Again, he dismissed me, and my health concerns, right away.
Because I was still experiencing these pains, I went immediately to a different doctor. As soon as I told the new doctor what I was experiencing, his response was "I'm pretty sure you have kidney stones. " He sent me for blood test, x-ray, and ultrasound, which the results showed I have a 1.3cm kidney stone.
I can't help but this that if Dr. Yamamoto just listened to what his patients are telling him, and did his due diligence as a medical professional, he would have found this out much sooner and I could have been in a lot less pain. I'm so disappointed in this doctor and will definitely not ever be returning to this clinic. He clearly has his mind set on putting as many patients through the door as possible, just for the money, instead of actually caring about their health. Terrible attitude for someone who is in the medical profession.
