Was at the store today. Was looking for a few items I seen in the flyer. Online indicated stock in the store. When I found the shelf no stock. Asked an employee and was told if there’s none on the shelf we don’t have any. I said but online indicates you have stock. The reply iI received was “well either it was stolen or it’s in a cage we got yesterday and is not available for sale. ”
I left.

Went in there on a Sunday looking for a spare for my camper trailer. The one I had that came with the trailer was an old white wall. Never paid any attention to it till I went to check the air on it for this season. It was cracking out. So go in for a replacement and it stumped everyone. Couldn't find any info on what I could replace it with. The guy Craig went above and beyond trying to find the information. After calling around to other guys he found the right tire for me. He did a fantastic job. He was personable and did very curious about me using my camper for when I pull it into a hay feild. Craig is a real stand up guy

Bad experience while came to return stuff- went in ask employee if we can return or not as the staff was heavy employee said yes bring in we get back to grab from car and the other employee said we are close come tomorrow just within 2 min they said we are close and we drive around 50kms.

Not to happy today. Drove across town to get a flexible extension. The store said they had 33 in stock.sure enough they could not find them. Not impressed

I was checking out the 3 piece foldable aluminium picnic table and I just couldn’t find it despite being in the current flyer.
A kind employee named Jordyn approached me to help me find the item which she did.
The item was not on display so she went out of her way to have it put together for me so that I could see it before I bought it.
This speaks volumes for Jordyn who was so willing to assist me and kudos to this branch to have an employee of this nature

First off I love princess auto. Great stuff (some junk) and great prices. The reason for 3 stars is that 9 times out of 10 I come to princess auto, there is some charity set up in the entrance to ambush you for a donation.

If I could give ZERO I would. Worst customer service ever. The girls at the front cash need to be fired for being rude. Never coming back to any of the stores.

Such a great store and always love to check out the Surplus area. Amazing deals on such a wide range of things.

Great deals, plenty of inventory. Sometimes you have to ask a few different staff to find what you are looking for, but i can't blame them as its a big store and everyone always seems busy. If you go on the weekend this store is packed.

5 star service, huge product selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff and well laid out store.

Came to grab a few things for my car, saw that some light bulbs were on sale for 99 cents, and decided to grab a few, lady at checkout scanned them full price and I asked about the sale, and with a little attitude she replied “I don’t know. ” Didn’t even try to check, so I walked out of there cause I didn’t want to start an argument.

Had amazing service by Kiegan and Sonjia.
They went above and beyond to help me find everything that I needed and gave me a great price on it as well I will be shopping here from now on just because of the service that I received from these two!

I would like to make a positive comment about this place, not only they have good customer service over the years I come here, but also to a specific person name Frederick. I have asked for his help a lot number of times and I appreciate that he always make sure he will look for the item that I'm looking for, if not, he would recommend a different product if not in stock. There were also times that I see him helping other senior customers. Helping these people pushing their carts and getting them in their cars were amazing gesture for me. Keep it up!

Specifically from Tanya, who immediately saw we needed help.
My mother and I were running an errand for my dad to pick up some items for him, which we knew very little about.
She was able to immediately show us to the aisles and help us find the exact products we were looking for.
Also had help from other coworkers when an item was out of her expertise!
This location has very attentive and helpful employees, I’ve never experienced this kind of service at locations like Home Depot or Lowe’s.
Highly recommend!

Often knowledgeable veterans who know where everything is are occasionally hard to find, but overall due to the variety of the surplus area this chain of stores has been a favorite of mine for decades!

Wanted to give Bradley at the south calgary location a huge thank you, was extremely helpful and went way out of his way to get a air cleaner unit brought in from grand prairies location not 1 but twice after there was a mix up between stores. Were he managed to find a second is beyond me. I wish there's was more people in the retail world that still care like this man does. Very satisfied customer managed to pull it off less than a week before Christmas.

I went to pick up two wooden moving dolleys that were advertised for 50% off. The staff were unable to locate the items in stock, so I was given the same price match towards two polypropylene mover dolleys. The staff were very helpful and considerate with my purchase. Customer service is excellent.

What is not to love about a store that carries just about everything even a kitchen sink sometimes. I come here once a month and leave with stuff I did not even know I wanted.

Always unorganized and one of the girls that work the customer service desk for returns and exchanges is completely useless, rude and lazy. Literally can never do her job and so tonight she told us basically it's our problem she can't do her job instead of trying to make a solution or ask for help from a manager. Will have to keep coming back until she isn't on shift and it's one of the guys back on shift again. Total waste of time!

I was in there for a balljoint press on sale I went and talked to Debbie and Sonya. They were absolutely amazing they said there was only 1 in stock but they searched and searched for me til we found the last one they are truly great people and the reason I will always come to this location…. They are 2 employees to value for sure

Usually good prices and they`re always better than Canadian Tire. Decent service too. It would be nice if they had auto parts more than just the odd motor oil.
Good place to shop for all sorts of random interesting out dated or useless things that you might need.

My brother ordered something on line and I had to pick it up Wendy was the girl who served us and wow awesome customer service from her thank you Wendy

It is very useful for the right needs, and stock does change seasonally.

This place has by far the BEST customer service I have had in retail! I had the pleasure to meet with Donna and she made my day so much better by presenting me with solutions and fast service. She was helpful and was genuinely happy to assist me. Happy staff = happy customers. Thank you Donna, I will be back.

Came in to buy supplies to work on my vehicle, went to cashier with my boyfriend, I’m trying to pay and the cashier is asking my partner if “he” has an account, and how “he” would like to pay.
It’s 2021, I’m surprised a store still practices sexism - especially to paying customers with a card out and standing in front of the employee. Time to get into the times!

No other place I would go to get a half decent deal on some mediocre quality tools. Finish up with a line up where you can make small talk with other “crafts people” and talk about the smoking deals on washer fluid. Good set of Calipers aways in stock for those OD/ID fish neck measurements.

The staff are very polite and helpful. Excellent customer service. I had no idea what I was looking for. All I had was a name. The staff helped me find the right one and explained all about it and made sure I had the right tool. And it was the right one after all.

Cleaner look, maybe the same merchandising of NE location but it seems to have more variety maybe because of the visibility.

No matter how busy they are your still number one.

Always a bargain to be had. An unnamed local tire shop wanted $30+ to repair my wheelbarrow tire. Princess Auto sells a brand new tire mounted on rim ready to install for $19.99.win win win.

Went in there to look for trailer stuff and found everything and more. Spent a couple of hours but could have easily been more. Friendly/helpful staff. Too bad there isn't one more central.

My hardware shopping experiences always draw me back. I expect cheaper & better than competitors & haven't been disappointed. Courteous & helpful staff, ease of returns. No receipt? What's your phone #? Done.

Theres everything you could ever need here. I came for a sprocket and they had a wide selection and got the perfect one.

I shop here quite a bit and at times have had to return something that didn't fit etc. They're return is hassle free and now they have more floor staff it is easier to find help. Some products are much cheaper than elsewhere. I remain a loyal customer

Very friendly staff. Lots and lots of variety and inventory. I could spend hours browsing for all kinds of useful gear in here.

Princess auto is a fairly consistent place to shop, good deals, I purchase most of my consumables here.
Love the surplus section, always a good place to find rare odds and ends at a good price, and I recommend the hydraulic department for custom hose and line!

Flawless experience. Bought these jack stands remotely (covid smart) and Liam an employee, probably employee of the year if it were put up to me, delivered my product on bike. Outstanding. Would shop here again.

I would give this store a zero if i could, I was just in the store talking to the lady in the hydrolic desk and i have to say by far the most ignorant person i have had to deal with in some time! She had the personality of a brick! And couldnt be any less helpful. I required some info about building some new lines for my boat and she talked down to me like i was a child!

Always come out with more I intended to buy! Lol seriously though the customer service and the staff is super at this store and would recommend! Thanks again for making sure I blow all my money there!

Did not have metric sockets just universal sockets which in my opinion is like having a crescent wrench. Had some sales on through Christmas but nothing to write home to mom about.

Great place for mechanical inclined persons, but also a good place to get items that are not found in other stores.

If customer service is what they say it is, then they should Fire the person in charge of advertising on the internet.
I just drove in from HighRiver and got to the Calgary south store at 5: 05 pm. From the info on there site they close at 5: 30. NO THE DOOR IS LOCKED. TO ME THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING, AND A WASTE OF MY GAS AND TIME. It takes 35 minutes to drive to the store to find their CLOSED. Change your frigen website hours. I’ll shop at Canadian Tire and hopefully they have what I need. Time of this note 5: 26 pm

Love the old lady at the cashier, so sweet and polite.

Fairly organized and reasonable COVID measures, check outs were a bit disorganized on my last visit but friendly people.

There is always someone there to help and answer your questions, all employees wear masks and sanitize regularly. Lines are fast and the variety of things they have will amaze you as it does for me, they have spectacular prices and deals. Its one of my most favorite stores i shop at everytime I go there I find something new. If you have never been take my word and go check it out you won't be disappointed well not until its time for you to leave cuase you won't want to

Pretty good location, but often I have trouble finding the items that are on sale/special. That said, the staff can usually help me.

Helpful friendly folks, helped me find the bits I needed much faster than hunting around the store, which is huge.

Went there to pick up Christmas gifts with a list from the bf and when I asked for help as I have no idea where anything is in the store (first time there) I asked an employee and she kept telling me I needed to bring in a number to find the product that I was looking for- i asked her to look in her computer and she told me she needs the number.and just telling her what I was looking for (like the item name) wouldn’t help.she was so rude that I felt I would NEVER shop in this store again- however that changed when a wonderful girl named Emily helped me out and found what I was looking for - without a number. She is the only reason why I will go back to the store. Thank you Emily for being so helpful. You really made shopping there better

Got most of what I needed. It's a bit disorganized. Was sent to several sections looking for an item on their site. Not the end of the world, will continue to support them, but won't go if im in a pinch for time. Can't beat the prices on some items.

I've never been here before and I likely wont be back. Pretty junky seeming store. I asked for some help finding something and then sales person was less than friendly and pointed me in a vague direction. Drove 3 minutes to napa and had a much better experience.

Their website says they have what you need but when you get there the staff have never seen that in their life and they don't have it, why even have a website if it dosent reflect what's actually in store, a waste of my time

That item on sale? Always out of stock. But now that we got you in the store, feel free to wander around and look at all the junk you don't need.

I needed another wagon to carry firewood. And I assembled it right outside the store. I didn't want to carry it in the box while walking to the bus stop. I only used one wrench and another device as a second wrench while putting the nuts n bolts together. For working on it in nice cool shade and joking around with other customers. The transit driver wasn't too thrilled when I brought it on the bus.

The line was at least 7 people more behind us
Wated for the 1 and only till still being occupied by another staff member
Wated another 5 min got some dirty looks
Gave up put all my stuff down and left with the people infront of me who did the same

And At least 2 of the other people behind us wating did the same

How about before you take up the only open till in the building
Open another for your customers first
Than stand there all you want

I would not allow this in my store that's for sure

If I tell her I'm going to the tool store that smells like tires, she goes "Oh. Don't spend too much money, honey. "
