Princess Auto

Princess Auto is doing too much. They're trying to be Canadian Tire and we have enough of those. 10 years ago it was great, had tons of stuff that actually had to do with "auto". Now you go in there and there's patio furniture (lol why) large appliances, outdoor stuff. Yet there were NO steering wheel covers in the entire store? And the staff (who were way too many and all screwing around) said that was normal. Okay. If you actually need AUTO stuff like their name says, go elsewhere!

I love going to this place. So many useful things you can pickup here, including tools, shelves, surplus items, and garden equipment. And almost everything is reasonably priced. I never leave here empty handed.

This store used to be great it's been slipping in recent years.couldn't even offer me a bag to put all my stuff if watched me struggle put the door with a shattered hand barely able to get out Thanks.gonna be switching to online sales else where in the future princess auto has lost my business.

Always like shopping at Princess Auto lots of selection. The prices are getting higher but still can get a good deal if you look,

Checking the start time on line said it was open @ 7: 00 AM. I got there 10 minutes early & sat in the parking lot till 7: 00 finding out when I went to the door it was posted starting this week the store hours changed to 8: 00 opening.
What a waste of time.

For starters I have a handy cap placard and it just so happened that the closest handicap parking stall was taken up by a side by side that displayed no placard.
Some sales where great although the big sale was nowhere to be found.
Kinda sorta disappointed, although. I got to get out of the house/yard for a few minutes longer.
What I did get was very reasonably priced and valuable to me.
Was expecting much more.
It's been said don't expect much and one won't get disappointed.

This is the best Princess Auto location in Edmonton. Beautiful, big, clean, well lit store with great inventory selection and very well organized shelves. Staff are consistently friendly and helpful too.

My family and I were on a trip up to Edmonton from Calgary with our travel trailer on Friday July 15th when we had a tire blow out on our trailer on the highway. We did have a spare but, my wife called this location in Edmonton to inquire about getting 4 new tires. Josh picked up the call and helped us, when we go there around 7: 30-8 Josh met me at the door (coincidence) lol and as I used the washer room he grabbed the tires for me and brought them to the front and even gave us a promotional price for no reason. It was an awesome expirance dealing with him and this princess auto. Thanks Josh and great job!

Well its what it is. It's hard to go for one thing. Come out with tons of stuff but not what you went in there for. Lol.

Visited today to pick up a few items for the lake. Had a great experience with the woman at the checkout. Super friendly and warm.

Made our day to be honest

Everyone was extremely nice but when I asked where things where they would just tell me the isle and when I go there the product isn't there. This happened 4 times in one trip and only an older gentleman helped me and actually took me to the isle only to find out they didn't have the product which is fine. It seems online shopping will produce better results.

Knew exactly what i wanted, spent 30 minutes before making the trip making sure what I wanted was in stock, when I got there I spent over 30 minutes with assistance of 3 other staff looking for the part they supposedly had 12 of in stock to no avail. They said they would call me when they find it at least. Another guy there was looking for a similar part who also said it showed in stock on the website but couldnt find it. They have lots of stuff, but good luck finding what you want I guess is the take-away

If I could give zero stars I would. Completely hostile work environment. Do NOT work here. Period Especially if you are female, desire yourself to be taken seriously and treated with respect. This company is filled with Cliques that even the managers are in on and god forbid you get hurt on the job! Just Stay away. Research things yourself and buy elsewhere for all parts needs!

Greatest store in the world if you like fabricating stuff and looking at cool surplus tools and odds and ends that you never thought you would need. Mostly offshore products. No problems returning stuff. I love this store more and more each visit.

Great selection of items at great prices. Check out the surplus section for bargains on stuff you would never expect to find there, anything from pet supplies, home theatre wiring to smart phone accessories.

I'm so 8mpresswd with the new revamped spacious looking store abd we're so obliging to let me return an item that my late husband hadn't opened yet. Thankyou!

Never been to this Princess Auto, but I tired calling them 5 times first time they where transferring my call to another department that could answer my questions they hung up as it got transferred, called again because stuff happens and this time someone answers yelling Hydraulic department and hangs up and every tie time after that no one seems to know how to answer the phone I'm going to Canadian tire since they at lease they know how to operate their phones.

If you are looking for it, Princess Auto will likely have it.lol. Joking aside, they have a very impressive selection of every tool, gadget, fixture, or piece of equipment. The prices are very reasonable and the staff are extremely helpful

How can anyone not love to go here? Great warranty, variety of products to work on any project, sales are awesome. Only bad thing is wanting to go back multiple times and coming out with more than needed.

It had all the things i wanted. Plus they. Always seem to have staff. To help find what you need.well done.

Princess auto is a staple. However i dealt with an extremely condescending staff member there (Justin). Go to the south side location if you can avoid this.

A lot to like, a little to hate, sometimes prices are great other days they're not so great but overall it's for the better when it comes to financials.

The west end Princess Auto is well stocked with pretty much anything basic you can get. Getting a hold of personnel might be somewhat of a challenge.

Very experienced staff that always know about everything

Normally I love princess auto, but at this particular location I was really disappointed in the level of customer service I received. When I was finally able to track down an employee to ask where what I needed was, I was pointed in a general direction and they walked off. I didn't find what I came for, but I did find something else I liked and wanted to buy so I went up to the till, and as luck would have it, I had grabbed one without a tag. The cashier told me I'd have to go back to where I found it and take a picture of the price tag. I just left. I have never been to a store that made the customer go locate a price on the rare occasions an item is brought up without a tag. I would have been happy to step aside and wait, however I don't need to spend my money here so badly that I should go do an associates job for free. So I guess I should thank the poor customer service for saving me money I didn't really need to spend.

You can get ANYTHING here. It's fantastic! I needed some screws and washers for a longboard, the guy I spoke to knew exactly what would work. Very cool

A Nightmare getting these ppl to pick up the phone. They literally hung up on me 3 times when I was calling to inquire about a product. Very unprofessional, to say the least.

Went to pick up an online order that I placed 4 days prior. Took a bit longer than I expected to pick it up but they figured it out.

This is a great place to go for the do it yourselfer. Very useful for home and garage. Good prices and a great return policy as well. I suggest you visit the website as the offerings are very broad.

Wife hates it when I come here. Takes forever to find what I want because I get distracted looking at everything

Just lost yourself approximately $20,000 sale. Not a single person is around to help anyone. I even tried approaching people nothing I had them call for someone 3 times noone came and management shrugged it off.

Typical Princess Auto. Walk in looking for a specific item. Leave with 600 dollars worth of tools. Some things never change. That's why we love 'em I guess They also have their own BBQ restaurant and their food is amazing. The Blue Truck restaurant

The best place! Amazing service with great staff, especially a guy named Ken! He had amazing customer service. The store is amazing and wide and spacious. Amazing things to purchase and find. I strongly recommend this place to everyone who works in mechanics, cleaning, electrical and etc! Will definitely return for more purchases at this place.

Had to return a faulty hose. Didn't have the packaging or the receipt but decided to come in anyways just in case. Customer service did not try to tell me no or turn me away. They gave a credit for the most recent sale price and I was able to grab a new product with no hassle.

This location of Princess Auto is large and very nicely kept. The south side location is nice, but I think that this location is larger, and benefits from the space.

I found this store to be very spacious and lots of helpful staff to help me find every thing I was looking for, good quality parts and tools.there is a wide variety of merchandise to look at and shop for, I had a exalent shopping experience

Hey what can you say about a place that sells tools? It's fricken awesome that's what! Tons of variety and quantity, they sell just about everything and prices are reasonable. Selected a DuraVac Shop Vac to get. They have in stock! But in the back room and employees too busy to get. Went to Home Depot and got a comparable Rigid. Too busy to sell me stuff? I'll check Home Depot first from now on.

The new store layout is great. All staff members that i encountered knew the store well and where to find items. Had all covid protocals visible and was super easy to follow. Gave a feeling that you can shop in a safe environment.

Unique stuff for the DIYP projects as well clearance items (one of a kind) and things you need for camping, work or at home and automotive related/garage. Take browsing around here sometime.

They failed to follow through with my order and did not reply to my email. Very disappointed in how they are handling this.

I sent this email August 11th.

"To whom it may concern,

I'm in writing in regards to an order I recently placed. I purchased item #xxxx (roof rack) online a few days ago. Online it said there was 7 of them still available for purchase. I purchased one along with some other items.

When the roof rack didn't ship I called in to see why. Apparently there was no more stock left even though when I purchased it said there was.

The customer service rep then said she was going to have to cancel that part of the order. She's informed me that it would go on sale near the end of September and that the warehouse has 500 units in stock. I asked if I can get one of those and she said no.

I am frustrated that I was able to purchase an item while the system said there was stock and it went through with it to then be told it was over sold and I won't be getting one. All while also being told the warehouse does have stock of the item but Princess Auto won't be honouring the purchase and I'm sol.

I'm disappointed in how this has been handled. "

Nice and big. Organize but I find the Southside Princess auto has more of the clearance and hot buy items than this location.

Very nice new renovated store with helpful staff. Very fun store is you like to look around and see lots of great tools and outdoor/farm related products.

They have Kinedyne 30ft winch straps on sale for$16.99 Practicly half price, great deal.
Store wasn't too busy & check out was quick

This store had so much product before their expansion and now that it's completed, so much more. Looking for products that CDN Tire doesn't have, try Princess. Why waste time, start there. Their prices are very good and when entering the store, find their most recent flyer. I had to return an item, their return policy is honored without question. Staff are readily available to help customers find what they are looking for. I would give 5 stars however to many customers ignoring the Covid-19 policy.

Always find what I need. It's like xmas. Got some neat stuff and stuff I didn't think I could use. Clean store. Staff are helpful. Thats right! There's actually someone to direct you!

Went in for the first time with a list of items and asked someone to help me. He showed me the first couple of things on my list then told me that I should just leave and go to Canadian Tire. I said “so I should just buy everything elsewhere” and the associate said “yes”. Not sure if it’s because I’m a woman and somehow not their target audience, if the associate was socially awkward, or just lazy. Regardless, I left feeling very unwelcome and took my money elsewhere as requested.

Items were things like various grits of sandpaper, car paint, rust inhibitor, car soap.several of which I was shown were in the store.

Princess Auto is always amazing has anything and everything that a mechanically inclined person would need and more. I even found a 3 piece set of big metal mixing bowls there I was extremely surprised lol. Anyone needing tarps to winches can come here and get them all.

Absolutely awful customer service.the quality of products are bottom of the barrel. Not reccomended.

My wife and I have been shopping at Princess Auto for years and while all of the team members are great, one in particular stands out. Kristen has always gone above and beyond to make our shopping experience AWESOME! Whether it was special ordering tractor parts, helping us out on the floor, or giving us GREAT deals on distressd or discontinued products. She has always been EXTREMELY professional and is a HUGE! I come here very often to pick up all sorts of mechanical supplies such as electrical equipment, welding equipment, bb gun stuff, tools and so forth. This place always has a lot of equipment and is always fully stocked. The staff here is very helpful and always wants to go out of their way to help you find whatever you need! I'll definately be returning here.

Fantastic, and a Canadian company too. To find that it sells bee keeping equipment now! How cool is that?

This place has one of the greatest washrooms around, big, clean. When I'm on the west end and nature is calling I come here. End up walking out with an arm load of things you didn't know you needed, win win.

Wow! Rudest cashier with long black hair at the front. I usually go to the Southside store and trust me folks avoid the west end store at all costs. Would give zero stars if I could.

They have everything you need in the way of odd-ball, low quality tools. They also have an awesome return policy.
