Pro Trac Gear

Just had Pro Trac install a new reman 8 speed and converter in my 2016 Sierra 1500. Price was fair and they had it changed out in a couple days. I was charged exactly what I was quoted with no hidden charges. Feels like a brand new truck again. Martin was a pleasure to deal with. Job well done, I wouldn't hesitate to bring another vehicle here.

Thanks to Les & team for helping us in time of need! Driveshaft u-joints needed to be replaced. One of the three u-joints was about to fail & the second was worn. It probably would have failed as well before we made it back home.

Les took my call, within hour of closing, & took the time to listen to our situation. He stated they were booked & taking appointments two days out. But he made it clear only if I could get vehicle to the shop by next morning, he would have someone look at it & see what they could do.

We were refered to company by another shop, who wanted to help but just did not have the time to fit us into schedule. That was the case for the other three shops I called as well.
Over 3000 km away from home towing a 1980's steel frame steel siding goose neck trailer, with 2 horses. A lot of weight! We just purchased the horses & was waiting for papaer work, so we could clear US customs & return home.
Full tank of propane & full of water we came across a perfect place to be stranded for two nights. Dropped trailer northeast Edmonton off of highway 216 & North Saskatchewan River at one of the area trail heads.
And we waited.
Vehicle was ready in time for us to continue our trip & make our scheduled appointments in Edmonton on Thursday afternoon. To clear customs Friday afternoon before the long Thanksgiving holiday/ US Federal holiday weekend.

I recently got some work done on my SUV at Pro Trac Gear. Martin went above and beyond to help figure out the issues and completed the work in a very timely manner. He was knowledgeable and professional. Best experience i’ve had yet! 10/10 highly recommend Pro Trac Gear.

Recently got a big job done perfect ar Pro Trac Gear. I wanted to have my axle gear ratio changed on front and rear diffs (4x4 truck). Work was done in a professional manner. The quote was done via e-mail and phone. They also fixed a number of other problems all within the same time frame as original job. They worked hard and fast so I did not have to stay any extra time in town since I was from out of Province. They also warranty their work. I can recommend this company to anyone needing services they offer.

What started out as a great rebuild went sour really quick, when I noticed drips after the rebuild, Martin diagnosed from a picture that the front pump was leaking from apparent bad seals. Truck drove amazing on my way in for a reseal, when I picked my truck up something wasn't right. After notifying martin that my transmission was grinding, he wanted to try something, it wasn't until after that I was informed that he had put an additive pack in. The additive pack didn't work (obviously) so they booked it in for a replacement torque converter Nov. 16, this job took them 6 hours. Two weeks later my transmission started grinding again, it wasn't until I took it for a second opinion that martin finally decided to replace the converter again, this time the job took from 7: 55am to 4: 59pm, with me sitting waiting, I was finally told at noon that they were apparently checking the complete transmission over. The joy that I had in being able to confidently drive my truck with pride has been destroyed as i no longer have the confidence that my transmission will continue to operate correctly, after 3.5 months of problems. Truly wish they had as much pride in their work as I have in my truck, I still have 9 months of warranty but would rather pay to have the trans rebuilt else where if anything happens.

Been using these folks for years. It's my go to place for transfer case and tranny stuff. Always get me fixed.

Just a great place for anyone to take their vehicle for maintenence. Women can feel safe that they aren't getting gouged as females! Highly recommend this place!
