Carrie from prospect is super helpful and nice she's always checking up on you and helpful with building cover letters and resumes and working together the other staff are really nice as well the workshops are fun and you can learn from them.:)
Carrie is one of the best at prospect. She's been so supportive and helpful, helping me with other resources. She's someone you can trust with anything. She invited me to a Christmas party and she tells me about things that are going on like job fairs or places that are hiring. I really glad I went to Prospect and met Carrie and the whole Prospect team there. Amazing.

Prospect has the friendliest staff who go out of their way to make your experience wonderful every single time. They are dedicated to helping their clients and it shows. Would definitely highly recommend!

Olivia has been nothing but so lovely and helpful during our conversations together and throughout my journey with Prospect as I was searching for a job. She listens very well, and asks questions reiterating it in such a way that you are able to gain a lot of insight from it. As well, our topics throughout the meeting depends on my needs for what comes up as a priority and I found my time with her very useful going through topics of job history, resumes, and interview tips, etc. I would strongly recommend her as your employment specialist at Prospect, as she is a great one as well as an even greater human being!

Do not waste your time going to this place for their 'services. ' I wasted an entire month waiting around for a phone call from one of these quacks, a phone call that did absolutely nothing. This organization is a textbook example of a predatory government agency.

I was unemployed and broke due to no work because of the pandemic. I needed to renew SAFETY CERTIFICATIONS to get back into my profession and AB works was either unwilling or unable to help me out with that. I was referred to this place and spoke with a man by the name of Aaron, who claimed he did hiring or worked in HR for some large mining corporation in the territories some years back. This man should have known full well of the algorithmic tracking software (ATS) used by most companies in the 21st Century and that by not having the necessary tickets listed on your resume, your resume will be sent to a 'do not hire' pile. Yet, he insisted that I could get by without them and to 'keep trying! ' and only in specific cases does Prospect pay for tickets, such as "as a condition for employment. " Newsflash, you won't so much as get a CALL BACK unless the tickets are on your resume, let alone an actual job offer. Lying to a potential employer about having qualifications you don't possess isn't a very good strategy for success.

Needless to say, I went to a different agency and obtained the tickets, as they were a little more understanding of my plight. Do not give these people so much as a phone call. They simply take your name down and use you as a quota for how many people they've 'helped' when they petition to the government for more funding. Which they usually obtain due to how many people they have passing through their system. Don't be one of those people, seek out a different agency. You've been warned.

There's nothing good about the way the extended staff treated me. Interrogated me. Bad mouthed and lied about me. Manipulated my situation to leave me unemployed right before Christmas with 3 small children to feed and a disabled husband. Thanks for nothing you cold hearted money hungry white Supreme fascists!

Olivia helped me improve my resume, gave me advice on questions that are usually given at an interview, did a mock interview with me so I can be better prepared for future interviews, and made me feel calmer and increased my confidence about the interview process! She also informed me about tailoring my resumes to be specific to the job I want for a higher chance of getting it. Recommend this for anyone feeling confused and overwhelmed with finding a job.

Angela was an amazing Placement Specialist. She was always readily available and willing to meet at our earliest convenience. She helped my format my cover letters and resume as well as practice with mock interviews. I couldn't have gotten my first job without the help from Prospect Human Services!

I was reached out to by Rana when I was in a very low place in my life and now a few months later I feel like I can actually see a future for myself. She took the time to help me with multiple resumes, gave me advice and even offered a listening ear when I told her about my headspace at the time. I’m beyond grateful for Rana as well as this organization. Rana’s gone above and beyond and she’s made a huge impact on my life as well as many others.

Aaron Farlinger and the rest of the team at Prospect (Lola and Funmilola) really helped me and seemed to really care about the outcome of my search for employment and they even helped me get the ball rolling on getting a new wheelchair and told me the best avenues for funding applications, etc). I'm in a power wheelchair and as we all should be aware, there are systemic barriers to disabled folks (especially mobility impaired) getting jobs. The team helped me by revamping my resume, talking me through applying, and Aaron was so helpful because he would send me listings of job interviews and offered to meet with me on a weekly basis. I can now say I'm gainfully employed doing remote work for COVID vaccination bookings and I'm so happy that this was the result and they stuck by and worked with me to achieve this- thank you to Prospect Human and their staff!

I was helped by Angela and her expertise helped me improve my resume, cover letter, and job search strategies. My interview skills also grew substantially through the mock interviews she conducted to help me prepare for interviews with potential employers. With her help I was able to find a position about 1 month after finishing up an internship. We recently dealt with the team from Prospect Human Services to get assistance for our special needs son in finding a part time job. The supports he received were excellent and he is now working 2 days a week in a job he enjoys. I would recommend the Edmonton team and their services.

Aaron was assigned to my case, what an exceptional human being. Aaron reviewed my resume and helped me to tweak it and improve it; his techniques and recommendations were nothing I've ever heard before in the countless work skills development programs and resume building workshops and helped me to understand the Indeed algorithm. Aaron eased my concerns when I felt hopeless about finding a job, remaining vigilant in keeping my frame of mind positive with regular checkups on my progress helping me to stay accountable.

The result? I now have a job. Not just a J. O. B.or a McJob but an actual, good job. I cannot express enough gratitude for everything that Aaron and the team at Prospect Human Services did for me to help me get back to work!
