I worked with a wonderful human named Kimberley. My main takeaways were the psychology of hiring managers. Kimberley saw my willingness to learn a new career and gave me the resources to learning and networking opportunities. With only a few short sessions, I feel equipped to utilize the knowledge and skills toward any opportunity life may bring!

Super awesome people they are the most unrecognized advocates for people that are having issues dealing with government assistance.

Went and seen Mark Mackintosh. He gave me some great advice and shortened up my resume for me when I was struggling, glad to be working again. Great guy, great place!

Very congested parking lot at time with handi busses and access Calgary loading and unloading. Great offering for special needs.

Had a lovely lady named Kim, who took the time to help me work on my resume and cover letter. She took the time to always call and send links for jobs that I could apply for!

Fantastic company that helps to get a job and believe in yourself. I worked with very experienced professionals Kim at the beginning and Gilberte for almost seven months. They helped me update my resume, prepare me for interviews and regularly support me in job searching. Gilberte helps me even during the struggling periods when nobody responds on resume and during total silence. She regularly followed up with me, invited me to almost every Job-event at Prospect, gave me a lot of helpful information. I appreciate their work and support. I definitely would suggest this company to all my friends who are searching for a job.

My career advisor at Prospect was very upbeat and encouraging. She helped me with my resume and interviewing skills. She knew what educational resources I was entitled to and got me into an excellent career planning program.

I came across Prospect Human Services after a few months of searching for work. I first met Kim Dalton, she helped me tailor my resume and started helping me with some job opportunities. Then, I had the pleasure of working with Gil Nouwezem, she gave me lots of knowledge in how to find the right opportunities, taught me about ATS, practiced MOC interviews, etc. Overall, she always make me feel positive, gave me lots of energy and motivation to continue looking and applying for jobs.

After a year of job hunting, I was frustrated by my lack of progress, a friend of mine recommended Prospect Human Services.

I had the honor of working with both Kim and Gilberte (Gil). These ladies are awesome. They always had a positive upbeat attitude when you spoke with them, you were immediately put at ease.

Gil and Pam worked with me to get my resume, cover letter and interviewing skills upto a higher standard.
With their help, understanding and positive reinforcement I was able to find a Job after a year and a half of searching.

I would like to thank both of these wonderful ladies for the awesome job they did to get me back into the work force.

Its been an amazing 6 months working with the team. It all started with a conversation with Kim Dalton (Amazing woman) and later on with Gilberte Nouwezem. I must commend the tenacity and belief Gilberte had and this came through in all conversations during meetings. I'm appreciative of her candor and professionalism approach. I was recently looking for a job and got in contact with this company online. They were able to provide online support, assistance, recommendations, etc all while I was in the comfort of my own home. The help they gave me was very professional. The person helping me was named Rasmia, and she was very helpful, encouraging, and I could tell she was very experienced, so I was able to find a job quickly. Thank you!

I would recommend going through Prospect program to anyone looking for employment. You will learn skills you never knew you lacked and you'll have a support system like never before. My Career Advisor Fiona Fairley was there for me when I needed her the most and she helped me out with any questions I had. Fiona is truly helpful to my professional endeavors. She'll transform your resume and make it stand out in a pile of resumes. I would recommend this program to anyone, whether you're out of a job and/or are looking for some emotional support.

They are so helpful. I've only been coming for a few months but I've already been getting more interviews and call backs.

Prospects (including the computer lab and all courses on Resume writing and interview skills etc.) are immensely helpful to job seekers. The environment provides a work space that allows a job seeker access to professionals and career coaches in addition to much needed (free) access to job websites. It is a respectful, encouraging place to apply for jobs/resources that is unique in a other busy, competitive city such as Calgary.

I had a good experience with one of the staff who helped me with cover letters and formatting my resume. However I stopped going there, because I felt it’s nothing that I can’t do on my own. I guess they ere not as resourceful as I expected.

They'll promise to help with anything and everything, just to get you in the door and meet their funding quota. Prospect mostly helps the people who work there.

The team at prospect has shown a great deal of patience with me during my time seeking purposeful employment. Ben, Carmen and Layla have treated me with the upmost courtesy. I'd highly recommend this agency for anyone with barriers to employment, either mental or physical.

For me, Prospect Career Link was a great experience. It was because Carmen Ragan is an exceptional source of information, support and encouragement.
She helped me with a skill based resume and job search techniques.

Amazing little centre, not a placement like most people think, they're a government funded program aimed at helping those in need with some therapy on their resumes and cover letters, from moc interviews to helping you find the proper job appropriate to your skill set.

Collaborative and professional organization that helps individuals, regardless of circumstance, achieve employment or career goals.
Highly recommended for newcomers and for those looking to shift industries and bridge the skill gaps.

The manager Layla didn't like something I said, and she went completely ballistic on me, and the whole office overheard her. I'll never do business with this place. They don't treat humans right, for a place that provides "human services".

I used to come here and they promised to get me a job but they began calling me non stop and flooding my voicemail with messages. Glad I left this place and have a proper job without the support and problems. Too bad no 0/5 option here.

They were not helpful at all. Lots of talk but no productive results. A clear waste of our time.
People making money working there but no people making money that come for help. They leave there and still no help for the people. You can hear it and feel the disappointment.
I was told to go swimming and meet other people to visit with people. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO HELP ME GET A JOB! AND INCOME.

While it was a great way to keep busy, I find that none of the workshops helped me to get a job. Just been told to keep looking, and they don't offer any placements for the people having difficulty, just babysitting those who can't send applications on their own. Nothing of help. I stopped going there because all they do is apply from their computers all day, which is something I can do on my own time. They seem to be focused on how many people they can get to keep their program going rather than push people through their barriers.

I've seen and heard all the negative stuff about this place, was recommended I attend, but I declined and for a good reason. Never hard anything good about them from others, friends and family. You can write billions of resumes in every style imaginable and send them on the internet and no company or business big or small will ever read it. I have been to many agencies like this and they promise you the world, talk the talk, but do not deliver. These type of staff they hire are not work placement experts, planners of any sort. I have found most if not all the job finding websites are a scam too, The kind of employment I seek is so -called unmarketable "talent" if you are in the "1%" You're golden, if not you're screwed. Goes to show that work, jobs, labour and employment is a privilege and not a right on this planet.

The older British lady (Lindsey maybe) is unforgivably rude. Not only is she always skeptical of anyone not physically disabled (like my sister & I) My last appointment she left me waiting for over half an hour & came up to the desk to complain about how off-putting her late client is. There was no apology either. It's really too bad because the desk staff really did seem nice & the job search associates I had before her were great. If you get her, quit the program, it's not worth it. Go to manpower instead.

Some adviser is really rude like Sarah Thompson. This organization is for people who has barriers to find a job, but Sarah likes to deliver hopelessness to these kinds of person. She admits it and shadowed her clients, doesn’t let her clients talk to other people who work there for seeking help. Her only favorite thing to do is providing distress center’s number to her clients. Based on her services, I highly not recommend to ask Sarah as an adviser from Prospect.

Been to this place many times and it’s never worked. When I first went here it was better because I had one on one support although I didn’t find work but now they just recommend workshops. Not only that but if you need accommodations for invisible disabilities they can’t help you. Avoid this place if you need additional support.

An employment agency that provides support to individuals who experience a variety of barriers to finding and maintaining employment. The receptionist is welcoming and cheerful.

After a negative experience, I was introduced to Joy. Joy helped me with employment opportunities as an well as understanding benefits that exist to help people with disabilities.

I am thankful that the experience has become a positive one. This goes to show you, never give up.

I dont like it but i dont hate it either.
Prospects has been somewhat successful in finding me jobs.however theyve only been in Calgary when i dont live there and in Airdrie. I do not like how their supportive workers show up unannounced, and bad timing. For example, their support worker showed up minutes before my shift was over to tell me that a yearly meeting was going to be set up.like why couldnt they just communicate that by email? So stupid. They just babysit me or bug my boss for updates or performace reviews which is unfair and i feel like he is being pressured when hes got other things to do. Its a great service, but be warned once you sign on with them, its for life.and they dont leave you alone. I know its all goverment run and what not but they dont leave you alone and your coordinator or whatever is up in your work business all the time.

It was horrible how the intake coordinator was not interested in helping me with anything. She was rude and arrogant, was resistant to helping me, and making me feel uncomfortable the whole way through the interaction.

Prospect has a lot of potential. The workshops are very informative and open to the public. Access to computers to the community is also of assistance. They do seem to be lacking on the Diversity Quotient and respect front. They do come across as conceited and not connected to the fabric of the community. Admittedly, some of their employees seem to be more interested in their paychecks and their relationships with their colleagues than with their clients. It comes across as the clients get used as a convenience so that they can continue getting their government funding for their higher paying than average positions. Clients do get told that there isn't enough time for them. Job Coaches can be excellent resources. But their office uses clients and will dispose of them.
