Great ice cream and chocolates.but always the WORST service. The staff make up policies that don't exist for any other location. They are also SO stingy.as if you're not already spending enough on the ice cream or chocolate.adding some extra toppings like nuts or sprinkles to ice cream is really helpful in customer retention. They offer the loyalty program as do other stores, but do not honor the free ice cream as per customer request. They only give out the junior scoop. Customer service is lacking and disappointing.

No communication with customers. I was waiting to be noticed but nobody reached out, instead, customers behind me were served in another, previously empty, cash. These masks on young people’s faces must hurt a lot….

Should probably change the hours online especially when someone diabetic makes the drive for sugar free chocolate. Just saying, website says open until 9pm on a Friday. Get there 8pm and it's closed. Disappointing.

Great chocolates, but I heavily recommend paying with cash instead of debit/credit. Two of my cards (one credit, one debit) stopped working immediately after using them at this store. They worked perfectly fine making purchases at other stores minutes before and then shortly after, machines read that they are either unreadable or just flat out decline them regardless of funds or account status. I have to order new ones now. It’s really odd, but also a reoccurrence that can only be tracked back to right after shopping at this store.

I am a regular customer with Purdy's and never had any issue. However;
had a concern with the staff when I visited to have an ice cream for one scoop - this girl named Lysaa she offered me half scoop instead of one - she also did not have any knowledge regarding pricing. I did not appreciate she giving half a scoop for the price of one since I am a regular customer I should be rewarded one free ice cream now- not good customer service.

Yesterday I was at Southgate with my daughter, and we decided to get ourselves a treat while we were there. We patiently waited for about 5 minutes to get, which was fine. The girl working there saw us and quickly finished helping the customer she was with. But when it came time, she would not let me in. She didn’t like my mask. I cannot for medical reasons wear a regular mask, so I wear a small plastic shield that covers my mouth and nose. I didn’t try to get in with no mask but she refused me entry, she wanted me to prove to her, with a medical note that I could not wear the paper mask she was offering me! She is no allowed to ask for that! Again I wasn’t trying to get in without a mask but she didn’t like my mask, so she refused me entry. I used to love Purdys but I can tell you that I will not be shopping there again. I did not realize that business was so good that you could afford to turn customers away.

I love popping in here once in a while for a treat or a gift. The folks who work here are always so kind!

Fantastic display of high quality chocolates. The favourite for our family are the Himalayan Salted Caramel Chocolates. They come wrapped - ready to give as gifts. Excellent service - fast checkout too.

This location has provided the best experience in chocolate and especially ice cream in the Edmonton area. I really appreciated the friendly and can-do customer service today. It makes a big difference when you’re out for a treat!

The icecream (we got the maple walnut). Was mouth watering and awesome. We enjoyed everybit of it. Going here often to taste more flavours.

Popped in just to grab a few things for the wife I personally don't eat much chocolate but she is extremely picky. I bought the iconic sweet Georgia brown, crisp Easter and the peanut butter eggs. I was shocked how much she enjoyed them they really use quality ingredients and it reflects in the smoothness (I would compare it to valrhona) of the chocolate as well as the overall taste. The staff was super friendly and welcoming.

Charged me for triple dip on my ice cream bar without asking, then when I asked about it she acted like an ice cream bar is always like this. No its not, been getting them since I was a child. Triple dipped is gross nobody wants that.

Maybe cause its Christmas and everyone is tired but I found the cashier to be ridiculously rude. Infact she made me so angry that I had to cancel my purchase and go down the hall to Rocky Mountain Chocolate. I will not be back to your store ever. Merry Christmas!

Ice cream here is too good. I always buy ice cream for my kids from here. But this time the lady over there was very rude. I know the name but don’t wanna share. Very disappointed

Nice little shop for icecreams and chocolate in Southgate Mall. Benches in front you can sit and enjoy your favorite cones.
