This rating is not so much for this location as the company as a whole. Their contracted courier will not deliver to my place even though they have trucks less than a mile away delivering farther to businesses. I have had the run-around many times. Now instead of shipping my parcel to the red deer location they ship it farther away to Delbourne. While the staff is friendly enough their hands seem tied or they don’t want to help. There is no luck contacting the business to have these issues resolved. I avoid using purolator as much as possible. The worst in my opinion.

Delivery driver didn't buzz my apartment properly, but after getting in contact with the support team (after a 40 min call wait), they had the driver re-attempt the delivery within 30 minutes of hanging up. Would be 5 stars if the delivery driver had just delivery driver had just properly delivered the package in the first place.but the customer service did a 5 star job!

I’d like to think I’m a regular customer. Purolator has always been my first choice for my shipping needs at work and home. I received my email saying my package had landed and was ready for pick up. When I got there the woman who was at the counter did not acknowledge me at all. I approached and said excuse me she looked at me and said what. I chose to ignore the attitude, everyone has bad days right? I asked about my package, gave my info and she looked in the computer and quickly went back to look on the shelves I assume came back out and said it’s not here. I showed her my notification she just shrugged. I asked if she could track it down and I was told no. At this point I’m getting upset. Another woman came out, Barb I believe was her name, asked if she could help, quickly located my package in the back, was very pleasant and quite frankly saved the day. Thank you for your awesome service today.

I went into the office and was very frustrated about my package being late, after the lady explained why it was late I had a better understanding, Barb helped me at the counter. She was very friendly and gave great service and advice. If you go there ask for Barb she will treat you well.

Worst company to deal with. Automated service must have been developed by trained apes. Unhelpful and arrogant employees that lie. I was home all day and they never even knocked on the door and told me they couldn't delver my package. Made it impossible for me to pick it up.

The only large delivery company that wont deliver to rural red deer, unreal not to mention the package sits idle for days at one location, use UPS or fedex have had no issueswith them and they deliver to your door and on time!

Very helpful and friendly staff. I nearly had a heart attack when they said what it was going to cost to send a package to Quebec but I have compared and not much different that if I was sending it by Canada Post and I still get $100 free insurance and no cost to have someone sign for it at the other end.

The delivery drivers are great. Unfortunately deliveries are often late. I understand have logistics work and know that issue arise, but I get a notification that my delivery is on the way and the truck drives past, then receive a notification that my order couldn't be delivered because of weather or pandemic. That's nonsense. The weather is perfect and the pandemic is over. Why give nonsensical reason and anger customers? Give a good reason. If the package is too heavy for the driver, let us know. Don't just select a random reason.

They want a lot for a little. I am house bound. I asked for one of their envelopes that have the bubble wrap in it. It's perfect for what I was shipping. They flat out refused. I told them again thst I am not able to go out and am paying for it so what was the big deal. One person hung up on me. Great customer service. I was not rude, I gave her absolutely no reason to hang up except she couldn't be bothered. I phoned back and got the same person, I told her again what I needed and she said she'll connect me to someone who could help me. I thought this was an answer to my problem! She connected me to technical. Thats when I decided they weren't shipping my parcel. I should clear something up. I ask that when they pick up parcel the delivery driver bring the envelope. That's what the hassle was all about. The handicaps always run into barriers. What's the problem with the driver bringing one envelope to a handicapped senior?

I live outside redeer and half the time my parcel gets "lost" happened again yesterday $250. They pick up all these parcels and pick and choose what they deliver. And the ones not delivered they keep. Theivs.

Package was supposed to arrive on Friday but ended up coming on Monday, for whatever reason. Slow start. But on Monday I contacted them when package hadn't arrived by 2: 00. Guy on the phone was fantastic. Did everything he could to help me out, including contacting the driver to see what they could do. Driver was there in 20 mins. My emergency certainly isn't their emergency, but they treated it like theirs. Very appreciative to both of them. Thanks so much!

Ordered a package express delivery, it did not require a signature either or state anywhere that it did. Every other package I’ve ever received has been left at doorstep. Last 4 packages I have had to drive across town to “pick up” what I paid to be shipped to my doorstep. This time their excuse was receiver unavailable and delivery was “attempted” while I was on the phone with customer service trying to find my package. Red Deer Purolator needs to be checked by corporate because their drivers aren’t attempting to deliver anything, just driving the route and not getting out of the truck cause they’re too lazy

I live just outside of Red Deer yet for some reason my parcel ended up at a distribution centre in Innisfail? Wow! Bad enough that Purolator drivers will never deliver to my home but this time they couldn’t even get it to the right city for pick up! The one redeeming factor is that the counter staff were very helpful and friendly and got my parcel redirected to Red Deer quickly.

Purolator consistently delivers to the wrong depot. They will not deliver to the rural address while Fed Ex & UPS do. Purolator sends the parcel to a depot an hour away with two depots in between which are closer. When calling customer service no explanation or real solution was provided.

Calls through buzzer, says they are leaving it at my door, 5 minutes later I get a delivery failed notification. They say they'll do a delivery attempt again in the notice. They don't. I get notice to pick it up with the hours on it. Frustrating but whatever, I'll just grab it and then it'll be fine. It's 6: 30, the ticket they gave and their hours show as open until 7. This is all for $9 bird netting that I still don't have. I'll try again tomorrow but they are located very out of the way its very inconvenient.

Purolator red deer is absolutely the worst. I wish I could choose the courier when I shop online. I never have issues with FEDEX or Canada post. My parcels are always ahead of schedule or on time until they reach the red deer facility. Then the service goes way down hill really fast. They posted a weather delay the first day my parcel didn’t arrive, second day they said they had a mechanical breakdown (total lie, the truck driver got lost. I saw him drive by my house slowly twice that day) tried to wave him down.third day late my package finally arrived at 8pm after I’d contacted Purolator customer service. This is a very common problem with Purolator in red deer

So. I was expecting a delivery today. My building has a locked intercom. I get it. So I posted a sign on the door. Saying I am sitting on my balcony 2nd from the right second floor. 25 feet away. They guy got here. Get it GPS tracking. He's gotta come. I literally watched the guy get out of his seat and go inside the back of the truck. He never got out so.i could not call him. Then he drove away. And 2 minutes later I got an attempted delivery notice Now I have to drive about 20km round trip.to.pick up my stuff.

Common this is not cool and it's lame.

I am constantly paying for next day shipping and getting between 3-7 day shipping due to "missed connection" at the Red Deer location. ALWAYS the Red Deer location. It is a black hole of next day packages. Things will truck along real fast, then get to Red deer until past the Delivery date THEN move on. Trash Service. Edit. Gave them another shot. Fast fast service all the way to Red deer. Then bam stops and the whole value of next day service is thrown in the garbage. Why do we continue to pay? And since we are paying, why has the entire red deer location not been replaced top to bottom.
3RD edit: Payed for 1 day shipping AGAIN.and again, speed all the way to the Red deer location and it stalls. Purolator would be bankrupt in a DAY based on 1 day shipping refunds from red deer location alone.

Ok, if aplace can't deliver like they say, then they should say they can. I had 4 packages delivered from London, Ontario to Red Deer, Alberta.
1st~was my fault, i didn't have the correct address ans buzzer.

2nd~ I paid $78 2 fay express, didn't receive it till 2 days after the actual delivery date.

3rd & 4th~ 3rd took 3 ½ days at a cost of $78.4th sent in a day later then 3rd at a cost of $38, delivered in 2 ½ days.

Think I might try a different company, I understand covid and delayed delivery as I work with mail, it's just if ur gonna charge a customers almost $80 for 2 day delivery. That's what they should get, if it's going to take 3 days, most of u should know what the volume is like and the likelihood of it getting there ON TIME or not, then u should Tell ppl and charge them accordingly. Not charge them, then when the package does not arrive on time, they are calling u and u say, it's out of our control.ummm no its not! YOU ARE PUROLATOR!
. And we can't offer any refund of any amount. Not a happy customer

Parcel is suppose to be delivered to land location. They keep sending emails and texts to pick up. Called several times with land location and they keep saying Redelivery adjust for next day. That was Monday, Tuesday and today. Then someone in this Red Deer office keeps messing with the delivery stating to pick up. I have no way to pick up. It was paid for to deliver to my home. If not here tomorrow I refuse to accept and it will cost you guys money to send back to Ontario and complaint will be filed with your head office. Totally unorganized and unprofessional service. DON'T USE THESE GUYS FOR DELIVERY ANYTHING!

Consistently "can't find my address" and I'm required to go pick up anyway. I try not to ship purolator as no other shipping companies have this issue. At least the staff are friendly at the depot.

Always the same thing, they never let you know when they arrive and your package ends up going to the warehouse, (on the actual OUTSIDE of the city, not sure how people without cars manage) so now I have to drive to pick it up tomorrow. Purolator always makes the convenience of online shopping inconvenient. Give your driver's work phones, Intelcom always calls upon arrival, this makes them a far superior delivery company. Thanks for wasting an hour of my life Purolator:)

Small package 1st had packaging issues and now has been on the truck for 2 days now and still has not arrived. I feel as this will never arrive or arrive damaged. Ordered a lot online and this is the 1st time using Puralator and the 1st set of set backs.

Update. 3rd delay on this small package and it shows it is on their truck. How is this even possible.

The reason they get a one star is their inability, to get a package to you on time, they have a lot of excuses as to why they can’t contact anyone, excuses why they can text anyone, excuses as to why the package is sitting in the warehouse for four days, excuses for the 25 minute hold times, and more excuses.they make things more difficult they don’t seem to understand the modern age is text messages and proper delivery not excuses.

Package has been delayed due to pandemic for 4 days now. Yet a truck comes to my town from the depot it is stuck at every day. Terrible service, think they are using the pandemic as an excuse for their terrible service. Avoid at all cost, pay a little more and get your packages delivered by someone else.

Happened Again - didn't have a choice so had to go with PuroLATER. Missed Connection twice in the same place - RED DEER - has to be the worst Depot in Canada.

Firstly the staff at Red Deer depot seem friendly and efficient. Something is very wrong with the sorting policy. After 3 one hour round trips to pick up items, they finally determined that YES they do come to my neighborhood. Somehow I now have two shipments at the depot. I am not driving to pick them up. 25 minutes on hold so far.will wait a few more minutes, then cancel my order. Very poor service on something so easy.

It does not seem i can post a second review so I have to add to this one. Again no package, this time a xmas present for family 12 hour drive away.oh well.it says delivered 8 days ago. Cool thing about Puro Later is that they say it is delivered when it goes to a depot, now get this.they do not call to tell you what depot it went to. So even if i was willing to pick it up, i do not know where to go.

Delivery driver always running away with delivery, and everytime you should go for pick up somewhere in the middle of no where.

Called customer service to pick up my package tomorrow because we're going to be out of town for 5 days. They told me that they'll put it as a prioritized pick up and when I arrived to the store they said its out for delivery and there's nothing they could do. Idiots.

DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE! They are the worst company to deal with! Their facility is a 2 hour round trip from my home and they bounce my packages back and forth from one facility to another town which is an hour round trip for me. When I'm told a package is at a certain place I make the drive and it is NOT there! This has happened a dozen times, I'm forced to take hours to drive around searching for a package. I just got off the phone with the call centre and the women was rude, kept talking over me, would not listen to a word I said. She told me there was nothing she could do and no notes she would leave to help me receive my package! My packages are well over TWO weeks from their expected delivery dates. Some workers help me and get the package dropped off at my post office or the gas bar at my nearest town.most of them tell me in out to lunch and what I'm asking doesnt existence.

If you want late packages, RUDE call centre that is a long wait on hold to get through to.these are your guys!

Horrible service I paid 20 for 1 day shipping from Medicine Hat to red deer. It has not been 4 days and the only notifications I’m getting is that it was missed pick up but it says that it is in red deer and being delivered. I’m very frustrated and will never be using pualator again

Amazon needs to quit using Purolator. The only time my package doesn't arrive within the guaranteed two days is when it's shipped using Purolator, then it's delayed by multiple days for "external factors" or arrived to red deer but "sent to the wrong distribution centre" (pretty sure we only have one in Red Deer. Pathetic.

The usual driver on my route knows my particular situation and accommodates me accordingly. THIS PERSON DESERVES 5 STARS!
However, if it's a substitute driver, they do not give me time to get into my wheelchair and to the door. There are many times when they never even attempt delivery (and my door is a secure location so parcels can be left!), when this happens I know it was a different than usual driver. Then I have to call and go through the entire process of having the package re-delivered as I absolutely cannot go to the store/office for pickup which is why I request and often pay extra on purchases for DELIVERY TO MY DOOR!
I'm considering posting a sign stating that I'm disabled and need a full 60 seconds or more to get to my door and if they're going to be that discriminating and ableist then please leave the package there; don't be cruel and make me go through everything to have it re-delivered! Never mind that many packages are often too heavy for me to maneuver inside by myself!
Other than the regular driver, this company is terribly ableist and discriminatory towards people who cannot run to answer their door.

Companies I order from use puroltator and both living in the city and outside of the city, I have never actually had a package successfully delivered to my home. Even waiting all day lon. Not ONCE. Which is pretty sad considering the amount of times I've had "door to door" delivery and I always have to go in and pick it up and it's never their fault, they will argue with me that my address was wrong or I didnt answer the door.

Heather was yelling at me. I tried to find out, why i didn't got my packages lately, and tried to make sure that I wouldn't be any issue in the future. But i couldn't deal with her! When i asked to speak with the manager she hung the phone on me! After years using Purolator, i might ask the supplier to use another carrier! Lately i had good experience with different stuff members like Ashley that she was very nice and other nice people that i forgot some of their names.and from 1 star i changed my rate for this branch to 4 stars.

Any time I see that Purolator is the company delivering a package, I know it's going to be late. Always get a notification that my package is "out for delivery", and at the end of the day it is always "delayed due to external factors". Worst delivery company in red deer.
