We got the appetizer platter, butter chicken, the beef madras, tandoori chicken, the garlic naan bread, every thing tasted delicious.great customer service.small but inviting it's really great here. If you like Indian food you got to try this place out

What has happened to this restaurant? It used to be very good but I ordered from there yesterday and had the saddest, most disappointing Indian food ever. The sauces weee watery and almost flavourless and the rice portion was laughable - a tiny portion of peas palao for $5.99 that was mushy and definitely not “the best quality basmati rice”! This has been a go-to restaurant for years for us but it’s off our list now!

Ordered butter chicken and beef curry. Butter chicken wasn't creamy, bland flavor and was diluted. Beef curry was very diluted with minimal flavor. Aloo peas was tasty. Naan bread was overcooked and burnt in some areas with very little flavor.

Had the beef curry, chicken tikka masala, and shrimp korma - curries and very thin. I could take it or leave it.

Really high quality Indian. I can’t believe anyone would dare give less than 5 stars. We love this place.

My family and I have been eating at the restaurant for a number of years. My daughter and I still eat here since my wife passed.

The food and service is still as excellent as it was under the previous owners. The chicken, beef and lamb dishes are always tender.

The prices are competitive as well.

Please do yourself a favor and try this place. Ordered the dinner for 2, and added the onion appetizer. Did not disappoint, and fell into a food coma.

Ordered five dishes over the phone and went to pick up the food and since my order wasn't ready I was told to pay which I did and was told by the owner that he will bring the food to the car. I requested for a itemized bill which he was reluctant to give saying he has it inside the kitchen which was suspicious. After we finished dinner I started comparing and found out that four dishes were priced above the menu prices and web site.
Upon calling him I asked for his name several times which he was reluctant to give and the answer I got was that the prices change without any notice. I told him that this was totally incorrect and was told that they will change the prices asap. Even some of the dishes/combos are not available even though they are advertised for over a year and the excuse given was no customers. Timings for lunch is given but does not operate for lunch over a year. The restaurant looks very shabby and not presentable at all and even the food is average. I have no hesitation in informing the relevant authorities to check specially on this restaurant. It is extremely hard after covid but if you are trying to be unfair to your customers there is no excuse. I'm not expecting anything in return but there are customers who will keep a blind eye and who might not realize that they have been over charged which is a form of cheating! During my discussion I felt he was not sincere and honest but abrupt and wanted to cut the line off hence I have no alternative but to bring it to the notice of the relevant authorities.

I haven’t been to this little jewel for many years…. Ordered tonight…. Simply the best Indian food I have ever had… it’s my go to spot from now on…. Thankyou for the flavors…. And nourishment…. Obviously made with love…. And it tastes like it…I appreciate you… …

Terrible food. Shahi paneer in a runny sweet gravy. It should be a sweet dish. And they don't serve daal makhni which is our heritage. Waste of money.

Worst place to order food, don’t waste your money rather throw. Rude staff too.
It’s a deserted restaurant and it should be like this as the way they treat customers.

Great food! Everything was seasoned to perfection and tasted amazing. Staff was especially nice and very professional. Loved the efficiency of the staff when ordering! Can't wait to eat here again!

This is the best place to get Indian food in the city! Staff are always friendly and food is always top-notch! Keep it up!

Amazing Food. The young waiter and the chef were wonderful. The waiter greeted the guests with a friendly welcome and offered starters right away with drinks. He gave some suggestions about what to order from the menu and was kind throughout the dinner. The food was delicious and really replicated an authentic south asian cuisine. The chef promptly made the food and was kind and made the best food for the customers that was definitely worth it to eat at Puspa. The waiter has well experienced and made the dinner at Puspa flawless and delicious. Recommend Puspa. 5 Stars.

The behavior of the young waiter was terrible, haughty and arrogant. Both father (the cook) and son are very rude and don't know who they behave well with as I noticed people praising the young waiter. We stopped our long relationship with this restaurant only because of the terrible behavior of this young waiter.

Just did a skip order for Puspas in the NW. I’ve had a really hard time finding a good Indian cuisine place out this end of the city (Charleswood). I used to live in the NE. I’ve tried a few places and no dice, but this place. OMG! Well worth the bucks I spent on the four items I got! Good portions, they appear small at first, until you unpackage it on to your plate! I ordered Sag Shrimp, Sag Lamb, rice and garlic naan! I am quite impressed, and very happy. The amount of oil in this dish was disgusting. On top of that, there was little flavour, it tasted like this was barely seasoned. On top of that, half of my chunks of “beef” were just big chunks of fat. Definitely would not recommend, especially with the sheer number of way better options.

I grew up near this restaurant which is unfortunate. For all the other Indian restaurants in Calgary because the food does not compare. I love the food here it has amazing naan, butter chicken, Briyani and samosas. The dining room is limited but definitely try them out if you get the chance.

Wonderful flavours that combined to create a crescendo in your mouth. We have eaten and ordered take-out from here many times and this was likely the best yet. Decent value too.

Honestly the worst indian food I have ever had. You are honestly better off just making basmati rice at home and eating it by itself. I had the LAMB biryani. It was so bland and dry and spicy beef curry thing.wasn't good at all. Even the naan bread was tasteless.one star because the food was on time. 1/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND.

I LOVE this place. We've been ordering take out from here for about a year, slowly working our way through the menu. Every single meal has been phenomenal so far: fragrant, fresh, delicious. We've tried their chicken, fish, shrimp, and lamb curries and they are honestly our favourite place to get Indian food from.

Really nice small restaurant with great service. The butter chicken has a sweetness to it and is served with slivered almonds which is a nice touch. The beef vindaloo was so tender with a kick of spice. Although the curry portion sizes were a bit small the Veggie Biryani was huge and full of several perfectly cooked vegetables. The Butter Naan is by far the best naan in Calgary with a thick and doughy inside and crispy and slightly charred outside. The complimentary papadam was also delicious. Can't wait to try more.

One of the best east Indian restaurants in Calgary, their food is consistently amazing and the flavors just make you just fall in love with their food. It's a must, we highly recommend this place.

Great mulligatawny soup and papadum, excellent vegetarian choices, a good menu. A cozy, local restaurant with good service. Not overly hot spices (but they'll crank up the heat if you like it). Very consistent quality. You can't go wrong here if you like this type cuisine.

Food was pretty darn good, if you like spice do not skip their vindaloo. But wholly crow was is cold in there, if it's -30, get delivery.

I have been going to Puspa for over 20 years. Fantastic food and they cater to my super sensitive Celiac Disease (along with dairy & egg allergies) with ease. They are super conscientious about allergies (I've never had a problem). Deep flavour. Healthy food. Not too salty or oily. SO grateful for Puspa all these years! 5 stars!

Rating on taste, freshness and how happy my mouth was after eating, Puspa was awesome! I only wish the portion size was larger!

Hate writing bad reviews but this last time merited it. I have ordered from Puspa a handful of times, but this last time was the worst. Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken with paratha and the stuffed paratha. The taste was bland, chicken must be processed or frozen or something because the texture was so weird. It doesn't even look like chicken and every piece is a perfect cube (suspicious). Bread and rice were definitely not fresh. Extremely disappointed. Please try and go fresh.

It is the best Bangali restaurant i have ever tried. Dishes are awesome with very affordable price. Highly recommend. 7

Very beautiful decor. Awesome service. I ordered eggplant, I loved it with fresh naan bread. The chicken leg I ordered was precooked not sure how long ago.this place could use your patronage.the busiest it gets the fresher the food becomes. I would definitely come back. Thank you so much for dinner.

The food is amazing but the naan was thick and under cooked. Maybe this was a one off but I did not enjoy the Naan.

I visit there place once. Ate aloo partha, that was completely awful. Makes me start feeling sick.

Puspa, is a little hidden gem. No bells or whistles, just great food with excellent, friendly service. I’ve been here only twice, yet it’s had such an impact on giving me great quality northern Indian stews and other dishes.

Super friendly, smaller serving sizes than I've seen before for similar prices but AMAZING flavour. I would definitely recommend and plan on going back the next time I'm in the city.

Had the Madras Chicken Curry and the Begun Bhaji with Tandoori Rotis. 5 stars for the taste and service!
