Queen Elizabeth High School Calgary Board of Education

Unfortunately this school is poorly managed. The staff bullies the students. Kids dont have a safe space to deal with issues. The teachers/staff ‘look out for their own’. They even kept a sex offender on staff, quietly moved her schools rather then holding her accountable. Some teachers (socials) yells and belittles the kids. He can be heard yelling from other classrooms. Yet nothing is done. Ms. Mann simply is just mean to the kids. This school needs a heavy staff and management review. If you have the option to go else where-do it

Classmates very disturbing both mentally and physically. Teachers rant about unrelated topics about their depressing personal life. Could learn more while playing Minecraft education edition. Some teachers are very creepy and low key are odd around kids

Beware of ms mann if you plan on going here she will literally find any possible reason to get you in trouble and I mean it like just ask the kid that got brought down to the office for walking to the bathroom. Please don’t go here, at least until they fire or retire ms mann

As a future quantum railfanning engineer, I take tremendous pride in the high standard of academic excellence that the faculty and fellow student body holds at Queen Elizabeth. During my time at QEHS, my curiosity and desire to learn has increased at an unprecedented rate — I owe this scholarly mindset to the wonderful staff whom I work with everyday. The professors are all extremely positive, and have been instrumental in helping me achieve both my academic and life goals. Above all, I am especially proud to have met so many lifelong friends at QEHS. I am forever in your debt. Shoutout Hugo, my blooda fr? …So yeah that’s about it

“needs to work on maintaining a healthy lifestyle” is a note on my report card? Bro how would a gym teacher know what extra curricular i do? I just don’t enjoy soccer? I am healthy i just don’t want to play any of those other stupid sports

Very bad school most of the staff don't care about you they just want to get their money and leave.the principal and the vice principle will do anything to get you introuble and they generally don't care about their students.

Some food is good but a bit overpirced but they gotta make stonks so like but like idk not really that much school spirit and alot of lectures

This school is amazing! They Have great teachers, amazing food, and they have a cafeteria program where students can make the food! I love this school

I have graduated a few years prior and meh was what it is.sadly it seems that the downward trend is prevalent to all CBE schools. The teachers are great, but that is not to say that there aren't a few bad apples around. Gossiping was apparently big.

I started going to this school in September and already I can tell you that the environment is toxic and it's mostly from the staff at the school who care more about you vapeing then if your doing down in the bathroom, most off the students here are amazing people there's just a lot of tea but for the love of God stay away from the Sunnyside goons there the worst off all

I've been going to this school since grade 7, and the entire Queen Elizabeth system since kindergarten. Lots has changed, lots has stayed the same, but a big change I've noticed since grade 7 is the slow decline of school spirit and enthusiasm for QE. I was on the cross-country team this year (one of four students on the team), and the incredibly small size of the team speaks for itself. At cross country meetups, every other school seemed to be enthusiastic, to be proud of what they were doing and who they were representing, and I got the sense that our team just didn't feel the same way. We have not had a pep rally yet this year, and during the last couple of home room periods, some home rooms were told to stop the littering throughout the school, and this shows the lack of respect students have for good ol QE. Who knows, maybe this has always been going on for the 110 years of our school, and maybe most schools have these problems too. I'm just saying I've never seen it like this before and that we should do something to raise the level of school spirit and respect

4 of my children have went to this school and over the years it has failed year after year. The teachers are biased very muchly for sports against many kids. The extra help is not so easily given anymore. The dumb lectures they give kids for being kids. Kids are kids and will make rumors and do stupid stuff. Seems to be nothing can be done as the office thinks they are still kindergarten children. Kids make mistakes and move on, alot of the staff here is very useless in many ways. I used to think this was a great school for my kids. Now I have 2 in there and debate putting them elsewhere. The folks you have running this school need to really wake up and see what is going on there. Alot of kids just make up something and get another in trouble. Instead of figuring it out. They are just gonna accuse over a rumor. As adults running a school, very sad how the matters are dealt with. My son has has developed anxiety with the rubbish at this school with their intimidation ways. I have asked numerous times not to scold my child and call me. But they continue to hold my son at times and interrogate him over childish rubbish. There needs to be an inquiry about how they handle dealing with kids. As a parent having another interrogate your child like they do intimidating them. Really boils my blood.

This school doesn't evaluate students properly, and are too financially biased to help the students achieve their full potentials. The teachers are kind, but it still can't make up for the fact that although Queen E is old, it is still undergoing many changes that make organization difficult.
