Overall, not impressed.
We have been going here for 3 to 4 years. We moved into a new house where the blinds were one year old however, warranty could not be transferred. Fair enough.

My husband spoke to the owner Joe one year ago, and he said he would like to keep our business And offered us a discount to continue being a customer. The discount was honoured for that one purchase, and he said he would put a note on our file.

Fast forward one year later And when I brought in my blind for repair he had no recollection of the conversation. And there was no note on our file. When I refreshed his memory, he basically chuckled at me and said they don’t do discounts even for his big customers so why would he do a discount for regular customer. I found his attitude terrible, being a woman it seemed like he was talking down to me. There was no customer service or tact in his response. I found this very rude. He said to get my husband to call him as he doesn’t provide discounts to which I told him I would.

When my husband called him, he apparently remembered that he had offered the discount and said he would put it on our file for the future.

After my experience and his attitude and approach to the situation, I won’t be trusting this is true. The way he basically laughed at me and told me he never does discounts is not the kind of attitude I’m interested in giving business to.

Aside from his attitude, these blinds (Accordion blinds) seem to break frequently I’ve had them break twice a year. This includes when they have ‘fixed’ the blinds…. And at $100 a pop to fix it gets quite expensive. I mentioned that we may be considering just buying different blinds that don’t need fixing all the time. Joe tried to justify the cost (and no discount) by telling me these blinds cost $1000 and $100 to fix is a good deal. Clearly we live in different worlds because I would never spend $1000 on blinds with my own money and $100 to fix each time gets quite expensive.
I would suggest Joe reflects on his attitude, and how he speaks to his customers because it’s not OK. Won’t be taking my business back here after my experience.

As the pull cord on our Hunter Douglas blinds had come apart, we checked the internet to find someone to fix it. We settled on QuickBlind, a company we had not used before, but are now glad we chose. Joseph arrived to fix the blind and we found him to be very friendly, personable and professional. As he conducted his work, we also found that he was very knowledgeable and proficient in his field. He took the time to explain all aspects of the repair and showed me how I could repair it myself if the same problem arose, which I quite appreciated. We will definitely call QuickBlind for any future problem with our blinds and would highly recommend them to anyone.

After my original blind was damaged during the cleaning service. Joseph came to our home with samples took measurements. A complete new vertical blind was ordered.
Yesterday he came and installed a brand new blind, hardware and valance. It looks amazing. Also took away the old blind.

We have used Quikblind Repair for many years. On my most recent trip, the staff recognized that I travelled across town to deliver my blind to them that they fixed it on the spot! Needed to have one of our Hunter Douglas blinds restrung. Quikblind did it quickly and had the blind back to us in a week. They also cleaned the blind and it looks great. The people I dealt with with courteous and friendly.

Joe and the team at Quikblind repair where fast, professional and affordable. I had a few blinds in the house that needed repair. This was a great choice over buying new blinds that would not have matched or replacing my entire houses blinds.

Reasonable repair price. Did a great job in replacing my blinds broken pull cord. The cord is better looking and functional then the original setup. They combined 2 pull cords into 1 pull cord system.

Amazing! I broke a small piece on my friends Hunter Douglas blind. They had the part and she was so helpful in matching the Color and explaining how to fix the error. AND did not charge me. Definitely would use their shop again

I found Quikblind Services Inc on a recommendation from a Hunter Douglas Blinds rep, here in Edmonton. Visited their shop today and Joseph Comartin helped solve the problem of a missing part for my old blind. Now they will work once again for many more years. Found this company after calling someone that sold Hunter Douglas Blinds looking for someone to repair two blinds we have had for 13 yrs. This company honored the lifetime warranty no questions asked and repaired them in less than 7 days. Do yourself a favor in Edmonton take your Blinds here you will not be disappointed.

We just bought a house and inherited Hunter Douglas blinds. One of them had a little defect, so I brought it in. They quickly diagnosed the problem, threaded the.thread back through and changed the tiny plastic collar. I expected to drop it off and leave it for a week, but they were quick to serve even though I was (waaay too) close to closing time. They definitely have my business for all of our newly adopted Hunter Douglas blinds.

I live out of town, and stopped by today to drop off a blind where the pull didn't work. Much to my surprise and delight the staff simply said hang on a minute, went to the back and put it back on the tracks and fixed it while I waited. Went there to find out what I had to do to get HunterDouglas blind repaired because they were their authorized service center. They were very helpful and informative. Took care of repairing the blind very quickly. Staff was friendly and polite.

Had just a great experience with Quickblind repair today. Had a pull string on a blind that I thought was broken and thought for sure it would have to go away for a week or more. Dropped in to the shop and they immediately took care of the issue in about 5 mins at no charge. Even added a small pull tab to the cord that was broken too. Really nice people and great, quick service. Highly recommend!

I didn’t know there was an authorized Hunter Douglas Service Centre in Edmonton. I went there because the pull cord got stuck on my pirouette blind. They fixed the issue within minutes and did not charge anything. Excellent service.

Had a stuck blind and brought it in. They were there ready to serve, spent less than 5 mins to sort things out and gave me back a working blind at no cost.

The customer service is responsive and they communicate well. I've had two slat blinds repaired here and both times I've had to go back and have them fix the item again, at no cost, but it was still a hassle. The second time I asked specifically about the repair and hadn't even unwrapped the blind before pieces started falling out. After the second visit both blinds have worked just fine.

I had a Hunter Douglas 38" blind restrung. I dropped it off Wednesday and was called thursday afternoon that it was done; despite the suggestion that it would be maybe three to five days. The staff were pleasant and professional and most helpful. My initial contact was with a previous compnay where we had another blind restrung. They had to send it out of province and did not even mention that there was a local Edmonton company (Quickblind) that could repair it. It took jsut short of three weeks. I phoned another company who would only deal with me if I had purchased the product from them. I said the product came with the home purchase. I was referred to Quikblind and am I ever glad that i was. Quickblind could fix it AND were approximately 25% less in cost to do so. Quickblind is where all of our business will go now. Great people! Had a Hunter Douglas Silhouette blind that required repair which was taken cared of by the team here. They were professional and kept me up-to-speed - which is what anyone can ask for - throughout the process. Recommended!

I stopped by to drop my blind off for repair. I was told it was an easy fix so it was repaired in a few minutes while I waited. Price was extremely reasonable! Thank you for such excellent service! Highly recommend!

I never leave reviews but I must say pretty bad customer service. First off when I called the guy was quite arrogant and rude and told me to email a picture of my issue. Three weeks later still no response after trying to call and leaving several voicemails I finally get ahold of them only for them to say they don’t deal with the blinds I have. I’d suggest having someone else do the talking for this business as I’m sure they do good work, just a bad customer service experience for me.

Repaired 2 of our blinds for a fraction of the cost of replacing them. Work perfectly now. Dropped off on Monday. Had them back on Thursday. Highly recommend.

Hunter Douglas blinds, installed in 2019. Called to ask how I could fix a blind cord that wouldn't retract, and they told me that the mechanism would definitely need to be replaced, and maybe even the entire blind. I did some of my own research and found a web page that explained how to disassemble the blinds and it took 5 minutes to identify and fix the problem completely. It was just a bearing and spring that needed a little lubricant. Nothing needed to be replaced. Don't trust this place.
