I recently visited Radiance Salon for my first ever set of extensions. Both Lola and Temi were knowledgeable about the installation process and how to maintain my extensions. I had a lot of questions regarding maintenance, products, etc.and they were more than happy to answer them all, and gave me some helpful tips for maintaining the quality of hair in the long term. I have been getting a ton of compliments on my hair and how natural it looks! Overall, a great experience and I would recommend this salon to anyone who is looking to get extensions done:)

The excellent standards, hospitality, and serenity of this salon makes me want fly back Calcary for a hair do.

This was my first time at this business and I was treated very poorly by the owner. I booked my hair appointment online and arrived on time. I explained my hair concerns and she assured me that she could fix it.
I had to wait for over 2 hours while she prioritized her obviously preferred walk-in clients over me and chose to attend to them, while I waited. This happened twice. Why have an online booking system, if you won't honor it?
She left me to her assistant, who has very little experience with locs.
I eventually left with my half-finished hair. She did not apologize or offer to make things right. She also charged me the full price.
I later discovered that she left one of her clips in my hair.

Update: The business reached out to me, apologized, and made things right. I commend them for being open to feedback.
Consequently, I have updated my review to 3 stars.

I had a great experience yesterday and want to share it with you. I was always bugged by my hair loss, specifically my frontal section. I always tried to cover that with a topper, hair powder-like topic, etc. But It was never perfect. I was really looking for hair extension which was permanent but without glue. I am so happy and satisfied with my hair extension, done by the radiance hair salon yesterday. It looks so natural, soft, silky and not heavy. I do recommend Radiance Hair Extension Salon service. The beautiful ladies helped me to retrieve my confidence and brought happiness to me both inside and outside. I love my hair style now. Thank you so much.

This was my first time coming here, I was skeptical at first because I’m very particular on whose doing my hair. TEMI is great at styling those who have curly hair! She’s always amazing at accommodating what you specifically want, so make sure you tell her!

It is with great sadness that I am leaving 1 star as I really want to love this place for braidless extensions. In the past, I have gotten one high braided ponytail with temporary extensions for a photo shoot and it was fabulous. It's a family business, which I admire because I am also a part of a family business however, during the last couple of visits I have either felt disappointed in the quality of my installation and tightening. I purchased the Chloe hair collection, they sell hand-tied bundles and clip-ins. I needed two packs of the hand-tied. Unfortunately, they did not have two packs of the hand-tied wefts available in my colour. Consequently, they informed me that at the time I could get the Clip-ins and they could make them into hand-tied wefts, saying that it would still be just as good but the hair may not last as long as the hand-tied wefts (which are supposed to last 1 year). They also said it was cheaper to do that option, so I happily agreed.
After 3.5 weeks I had to go for a tightening because it was coming out, which I found odd as I have worn extensions before and my hair lasted me much longer, around 6+ weeks, but after this appointment my hair was literally falling out 9 days after to the point where some pieces of the extensions completely came out. I went in and Temi fixed some of the pieces that were really loose but still charged 40 dollars saying to come back in a couple of weeks for a tightening and to bring the hair that fell out. 1 week later at the appointment, the hair had become even worse, it was so loose that one whole row actually fell out. I have never experienced anything like this. Not only did I have pieces missing from the previous time, I now had only half of my hair in and I had to work all weekend feeling humiliated with how my hair looked as a whole row was missing/partially out.
I just went in today to get it fixed as I had time in the afternoon. I left offended, frustrated and downright disappointed. When I arrived for my 3 pm scheduled appointment I was told to wait because Lola needed to eat her lunch. I had work starting at 5 pm so I was a little stressed we would fall behind. During the appointment, Lola made a couple of comments about the hair quality, which I found very odd seeing how it came from HER salon and both of them told me it was good quality. Additionally, she said I should have purchased the hand-tied ones as they are better, despite again being a recommendation from her business. I would have if it was available, I put my trust and money based on your words that it was good quality. Nonetheless, I had to pay full price to tighten two rows and reinstall the one row that fell out, which added up to $175. I don't know how they can justify the charge as I had just been charged $40 1.5 weeks prior to getting that same exact row fixed.
It has been exactly 2 months since I purchased the hair (which alone was over $650) an a quarter of the hair has fallen out and couldn't be reinstalled. Moreover, in the past two months, I have spent an additional $600 on just tightening and the installs. I feel ripped off, and am forcing myself to take my business elsewhere for extensions. By the way I was given a $3 discount, which is a complete slap in the face and y’all can keep. My head hurts from how tight the install was. She mentioned that she was doing it like that so it stays in place…Safe to say I won't be able to fall asleep for the next couple of days due to the uncomfortable tension on my scalp. I never leave 1-star reviews as I know it hurts small local family businesses, but this is completely unacceptable. I will no longer recommend this salon.

I had a great experience at this salon, been coming here for a year so far and had good service each time. Temi does my full head sew in extensions and she is really good at it.

Not only did this salon charge me over the quoted price but they ruined my hair. I’ve gone back and forth with the owner of the salon and the employee (her daughter) who did my hair for almost a week now. Not only did they take no accountability for the poor quality installation but they’ve provided the worst customer service as well. The pictures of my hair speak for themselves. The one thing I want to make sure everyone knows is I was a new client and was treated extremely disrespectfully. When I went in for my appointment I asked if they take American Express as a form of payment. They told me that they didn’t and cash would be better. I told them I didn’t have $500 cash on me but that I’d have my boyfriend bring the money when he came to pick me up from the appointment. They asked me 7 different times when he was coming, how I was paying and when I was going to complete payment. It got to a point where I had to say “do you guys think I’m going to rob you? ”. The employees response was “well you don’t really look problematic but you never know, we’ve had instances in the past”. They also charged my boyfriend more than the agreed upon price. In my opinion they provide poor quality hair and service then when people are unhappy and don’t want to pay and/ or have paid but want their money back it becomes a problem. They were unapologetic about damaging my natural hair- I had to cut 4 INCHES OFF, and the employees response was “you said you liked your hair short anyways”.

The employee who did my hair is the daughter of the owner. She is NOT licensed and works as an apprentice under her mother. Yet her mother, the owner couldn’t meet me face to face after we SCHEDULED this appointment because she was “stressed”. I will be reporting this salon for misconduct.
These women have no business doing hair. Please find a salon with integrity to spend your money at!

Great experience! Wonderful people. My first time getting extensions and they did an amazing job. Nothing was too much trouble and they went out of their way to make sure I was happy. Definitely recommend! (And my natural hair was a disaster! They worked magic!)

Amazing results! The mother and daughter team are the best! Having beautiful hair is priceless.

Oh my goodness! I can’t say enough about these extentions and Lola and her team! I have had extensions for eight years and this is by far the best hair I’ve purchased. It is so smooth and silky and feels 100 percent natural. I will recommend this hair and Lola to anyone thinking of getting hair extentions, you won’t regret it!

USLESS, MONEY GRABERS! To put it politely.
These goons are after your money. Not professional at all. Went to have weave done at cost of $500. Woman, a one arrogant silly Temi and older roach aunty, not interested at all in customer, just want to do the least and get your money. Not welcoming, felt like I had walked into a co wife's store, so cold and hurriedly do a pseudo consult (an excuse to extract money for those that may choose not to proceed), for the not so lucky they will then proceed to rush through with your hair and what a mess at the end of it all plus your purse is short of $ 500 in the end.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND, READ COMMENTS WELL before you consider throwing money to this den of theives!

Chloe collection is amazing! I had so many compliments on my hair. People that hadn’t see me for a long time though it was my hair and had grown out.

The hair is so easy to take care of and holds a curl and style for a week or more. Looks and feels so natural.

Salon staff super friendly and brilliant at their work.

My hair has grown 6 inches since I started getting my extensions done here. My hair is full and healthy. If you want the extension that don’t wreck your hair these ladies know what they are doing. I been to a few places prior and these ladies are magic! Won’t go anywhere else EVER again!

I HAVE GIVEN THIS SALON A FIVE STAR and here is why.
There are SO many details to factor in when getting hair extensions and believe me I could write a book about what to do and definitely what NOT to do or accept.
One size doesn’t fit all- at all and many salons who offer extensions will sell you what they think you should buy.
If you have Caucasian hair, Asian hair extensions are not compatible with your hair and the hair will never colour the same. Something to consider.
As a European, in the 22 years of having hair extensions I have been to many mediocre salons and I have leaned many valuable lessons along the way.
During Covid times I was introduced to Radiance and the owner operator Lola and her co-worker Tammy.
It is“ DAY AND NIGHT“, to any place I have experienced.
The salon is meticulously clean and elegant and MOST OF ALL, they follow all covid protocol.
It is a smaller, efficiently run salon and both of the ladies are extremely knowledgeable with all options of hair extensions depending on your hair, needs, desired achievements and budget.
It’s a very comfortable environment, it’s upscale and both Lola and Tammy are so engaging.
I can honestly say that I have, FINALLY“, found my extension forever home.
Thank you both so much for your advice and the way I now know I can look and feel with my hair.

I found out about Radiance Hair Extension in September of 2020. A good friend referred me to then when I arrived Calgary. I have been stuck ever since and haven’t had a reason to switch my salon. They are warm, welcoming and always make you feel at home. Lola and her team always give you a reason to keep coming back. Interestingly, they cater to a wide range of clients with varying hair types and they do a superb job. Keep up the good work!

Lola is a warm, spiritual woman, with a wicked sense of humor.
For a small family business, she goes the extra mile for you.
Compare to large scale salons, that make you feel like a number. Lola welcomes you and makes you feel like part of the family.
I feel more relaxed when I arrive, and feel no rush or pressure, and the little extra things she does makes me feel appreciated. Will be seeing more of her in the future.

It’s always a great experience when I go come here. I travel all the way from Lake Louise to get my hair here. Everyone here is very good at what they do, and the end result is amazing. If you ever need to get your hair done I highly recommend giving this place a visit:)

I have alopecia and am bald on the top of my head. Lola tried a new braid pattern on my own hair and now my top piece stays on much better. When you have to live with extensions (not by choice) you also have to deal with the trial and error of your own changing hair. Lola is a pro. Her shop is run very proffessionally so your appointments are on time and no fooling around. I like Radiance Salon and I will be a customer for many years to come. Thanks guys!

This is one of the worst salon experiences I have ever had! The prices were super inconsistent, when I got an estimate I was told $350-450 when I walked out of the salon They charged me $700!
I have curly hair and went to get extensions that matched my curly hair, I trusted in there expertise that they could match my hair and do a proper install. They said they were well experienced with curly hair.
I wish I could attach pictures so everyone can see the bad job they did.
The hair did not match mine at all! When I mentioned this they said go home and shower and it will look better.it didn’t. On top of that they were blended horribly.
To top it all off when I got them removed a few days later at a different salon the lady taking them out literally said “my poor head”. Wefts were tripled up and way too heavy on my scalp, also the beads had too much hair and were pulling as well. My head hurt while the extensions were installed and my head was sore for DAYS AFTER they were taken out.
When I spoke to the manager she and they lady who did the installation refused to take responsibility for there mess up saying that it was my hair that’s the problem. If they were not comfortable with my hair why did they continue with the service? ! To scam me out of money that’s why.
After trying to be polite and explaining my side.then a heated discussion with the manager, it took talking to the employee who did my hair to get a refund of only $250 over a week later.
No surprise if the manager responds to this review trying to justify the wrongdoings of the salon. She has done it on almost all of the bad reviews.
If whoever is reading this doesn’t believe me go have a look for yourself.
Hope that nobody else get screwed over like I was!
As I said she would she commented back lol what a joke. Never willing to accept full responsibility. As I told them when I was there I was trusting them to match my hair, if they were not able to do that they should have said so before installing a full head of hair. It is not my responsibility as a client to match my hair! That is why I went to a salon!

Working scam. Girlfriend came to get her hair done. A verbal agreement was made she made the 2 hour drive down. Got her hair down. Had to pay 1.5x the original agreed amount in order to leave. Got home and found that it was not done right as well as not placed well. Called to talk with management to figure out what they can do. They refused to admit to doing any wrong or willing to make a fair agreement. Had to fight with them just to get a third of the money back. Wouldn’t recommend them to do dogs hair let alone her hair ever again.

Lola and Tammy are excellent hair stylists. I go in for a relaxer every couple months and their products keep my hair healthy and strong.

I also appreciate that they carry synthetic weave hair with fun colours as I am allergic to human hair!

This salon is simply the best in Calgary area, I always go there for my hair cut and dye, also for wigs, they use the best products that lasts for awhile unlike most beauty salons around that I’ve been to.

Radiance Salon is the WORST company that I have ever had to deal with. Their products are garbage, overpriced, and extremely poor quality. The owner is unprofessional and dishonest. Do yourself the favour and go anywhere BUT here. Here is why.
Four months ago I purchased "Bohemian" from Radiance Salon. A week later it all knotted and all fell out. With great resistance, the owner finally agreed to return the hair and said that I would be refunded the full amount. Four months later, after calling the store numerous times, the owner finally transferred me 1/4! Of the refund. She later blamed that she gave me a number of discounted services in the past which is why she decided to hold onto the remaining 3/4 of the refund! Complete ROBBERY!

Radiance Salon should be shut down. They have zero integrity and are incredibly unprofessional. Their hair is horrible quality and their prices are inconsistant and overpriced.

Love this place! The experience, professionalism and talent they have is AMAZING and they take care of you DJ well. Their prices are also hard to beat anywhere else. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone.

Excellent service! I've been buying bohyme body wave hair from Lola for quite some time now. Since day one Lola and her staff have always made me feel welcome and taken care of. They are very knowledgeable & professional. All of my questions are always answered and they make sure I leave satisfied.

I was hesitant to get hair extensions again but this salon was absolutely amazing! The quality of hair the stylist put in was so good, did not shed, was soft and looked so natural. I’ve been here a couple times now and this was the first place I got a weave done. It was absolutely wonderful and they helped me get away from the tape in ones to something much better. I got my blonde highlighted here as well today and it’s the lightest and best it’s been in a long time! ️
