Radisson Hotel Red Deer

Hot tub was not working. Not told ahead of time. Stayed there to use the hottub. No continental breakfast.

Horrible staff and amenities. There was a confusion about my booking…I was charged twice and no one knew how to do a refund. Pool was unclean and unkept. Definitely would not recommend.

If you're thinking about hosting an event at this hotel - think again. We were here for a Christmas Party and they ran out of turkey (main meat) 3/4 way through line. Ran out of alcohol / ice. The DJ hired for evening said this was a regular occurrence at the events here. Kudos to wait staff - excellent service. Hotel was great, but I would not book a function here.

Very filthy, unhealthy, and a BAD place. The evening shift staff was good, but the morning shift staff is terrible, especially the grumpy manager Shawna who is a terrible person. She should be helped for BH treatment. It's not nice to keep someone at work who is mentally challenged. The management should send her to good facility so she can get the treatment.

Amazing staff, lovingly curated, wonderful food & great location. It’s more than a hotel, it’s a museum & library! Clean, lovely pool and lots of options for breakfast. And valet parking. The Verb is no misnomer ~ they do it all. Highly recommended.

As always the Radisson Hotel was a perfect place to stay. The staff was amazing and super accommodating to my business requests. The room was clean and the team here helped me move a bunch of boxes to the second floor for a trade show I am producing in the city.

I will be back again soon!

No A/C in the room. After 3 days of asking for someone to look at it maintenance finally showed up only to say they couldn't fix it. Took a week to get extra charges removed from my cc. Restaurant couldn't get an order right and food wasn't great. The only plus was the location

They didn't give me a towel I was trying to get one and they didn't care about even they didn't know that I'll be a permanent customer

An absolute joke that your food can nor will not get delivered to your room. Due to a policy that they do not tell you about when you are checking in. I will NEVER stay here again and will make sure to tell everyone else I know not to also. If I could give less than one star, I would.

Terrible service experience I have never been more disrespected and talked down to in my life. Would not recommend.

The location of the hotel is perfect with big parking lot.
The service is outstanding the staff are very helpful and friendly.
The hotel facilities are clean and sanitized all the time.
The hotel manager Mr. Amin is very professional guy and he know how to deal with his guests.

Extremely poor!
We operate a company that travels town to town and when we booked at the Radisson in Red Deer for the first time I was really hoping for a great stay. But once our crew showed up they were each personally charged on credit for the entire stay plus $100 for incidentals as a (pre auth) maxing out there personal cards. (by the way I have never been asked for a pre auth on a entire stay, only for a min which is usually $200 not $2500 for each persons incidentals) When our office called to ask to reverse these charges and place them on our corporate card so we could lessen the burden on our employees cards we were hit with pure resistance and to be frank rude communication and ignorance, and for an industry that has been hit so hard lately you would think they would try to work this issue out and help. But NO! Nothing but entitlement! Our organization has now sent a memo out to all of its employees to not stay at any Radisson hotel in Canada. Good Job we have spent over $40,000 cnd this year alone and now it will be spent on your competitor's!

I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean and quiet the hotel was. The very professional attendant at the reception desk was very polite. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is they had no dining facilities open at least for room service.

Fantastic place to stay. The food we had ordered for our Meetings was fantastic. The staff were very polite and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable.

I wont say this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, however, it is in the bottom 3.

The evening staff seem to be very phoney when they are acting friendly. In the room itself, the towels are frayed, only about half of the plugins work, there was a hair that did not come from me in the shower and one more on the bathroom floor. But the WORST thing about the room is there are someone else's nail clippings under the desk.

My company paid for the room but I still fell like I overpaid for it.

Changed names of reservation and it ended up costing me an extra $100 for a 2 night stay. The continental breakfast advertised wasn't available, offered me a $10 breakfast box in replacement. Maintence definately an issue, had dead plugs in room and flickering lights all over the hotel. Issues with tv in room and had to troubleshoot myself, only to discover how dusty and dirty the room was beyond the surface. Staff were non-existent, or at least always in hiding. Overall, I wouldn't consider staying here again.

Both restaurants were closed, renovation maybe!? No room service either of course
No breakfast included, as started on my conformation and one of the reasons we upgraded to a king

TV options- not so much. When the hotel is busy connecting Netflix to the Tv (main way of watching TV with limited channels available.) Nice big tv!
Food- small improvements would do wonders. Thankful we didn't pay for breakfast as the wrap was flat on flavour.
Pool- enjoyable. Good for young kids because it's 3 ft deep. Cute hot tub. Dimed lighting to hide the age.

Terrible experience. The room itself was beautiful except for the blood stains on our sheets. After 3 calls to the front desk the issue was resolved THE NEXT DAY. Getting my deposit back was a nightmare and had to travel back to the hotel the following day to receive it for unknown reasons. Received zero compensation for the dissatisfaction of the deposit refund or the blood stained sheets. Will never return. * upon arrival to receive my deposit back, many families were in the lobby displaced from their room (it was 6pm) because the rooms were not ready. Check in is 3. So disappointing.

Awesome room for the price great breakfast friendly staff the ac could been better but all in all was a good stay.would stay again for sure

We stayed for 1 night. No pool no hot tub working. Horrible pillows. No pre warning not working or we would of booked elsewhere. Nothing worst then to be looking forward to a cool pool after many many hours in a car on the road. When asked about any compensation we were told we could pay an extra $100 for a room with a spa tub. No sorry nothing! Not even a bottle of water. This place gets no stars!

Hotel is really good with very comfort beds and good air conditioning. Pool is most of the time not open which is inconvenient. They have gym that is very equipped with variety of machines.

The room was ok until you go and have a shower. The water barely came out and you were either getting scolded or it was freezing cold.

I was looking for a small Conference room to host my first meeting since the restrictions were lifted and I was assisted by Trina.
She was very professional and made sure we were all looked after upon our arrival.
She made our visit to the Radisson very enjoyable. I highly recommend giving her a call to book any of your events, you will NOT be disappointed. Thank you Trina!

It was not at all upto the mark of Radisson. Very disappointed with Radisson. The hotel itself was a very old building and the rooms were not at all maintained neatly. The sink had lots of dirt residue and the tubs were leaking water all over the floor. Totally disappointed in Radisson and would never try any Radisson hotels again. Also the website mentioned pools opened but while checking in they mentioned then pools were closed.

Checkin was very smooth and the person that checked us in was very helpful and noticed that we didn't get an accessible room so he changed our rooms and provided breakfast because of the problem.
The room was spacey. The bed was hard. There was hair on the sheets when I turned the cover down. There was dust build-up on the coffee pot top so we were afraid to use it as it showed it had not been cleaned. After inspecting the rest of the room we came to the conclusion that the room had not been cleaned with COVID precautions. There was dust on everything, the tub had a water ring, the facet in the tub had water spots. We did not use the desk because it had a stain of some sort on it.
We went to breakfast thinking we would get an early start out. NOT.took almost an hour to get food after we ordered. The food was good. Cooked as ordered. There were only two other tables when we sat down.

Great place to stay poor security got my car stolen out of their parking lot and they weren't very helpful after it happened. Unfortunately there pet-friendly rooms are very limited to what accommodations you can get in a room, & Suite types are limited with pet friendly rooms.

The female receptionist that met us when we arrived was very rude and spoke with me disrespectfully and when I asked her why you did not tell me that the swimming pool is fully booked when I asked specifically about this by phone? She replied (I can decline your booking and go to another hotel)!
I asked her to call the manager and she said that he is not here today and gave me his business card. I tried to text him and I also sent an email to him.but unfortunately no answer till now.
Unfortunately I had to stay in the hotel only for one night because I had my kids with me.
But I will never go back again and I do not recommend it at all.
To be honest, the man that was in the reception was very kind and cooperative.

The check in process was smooth and the front desk representative was courteous and professional. The room we were initially booked in had a broken TV and the hotel was kind enough to move us. The 2/5 is due to noise levels. On Saturday, people that were in the next room, would continously slam the door when they were coming in and leaving their room. The issue was reported to reception and they assured us it would be addressed, However, the door slamming conntinued and it seemed to be intentional. People pay for a hotel room to experience comfort and a peaceful stay. Not to be annoyed by noisy neighbors. Next time, I will stick to the Cambridge hotel.

We rented a meeting room for an all day meeting. Lunch was provided by the hotel and it was delicious! It was a cold day and the room was a bit chilly, but overall a very good choice to come here.

Amazing service! The gentleman that manned the desk in the evening was very professional and knowledgable. Very clean and beautiful, welcoming atmosphere.

The expectation I had was a bit higher than average because Radisson hotels are generally of great quality for a 3-star hotel. If anyone is just looking for a place to sleep and shower, it will suffice. Not sure if the room we had hasn't been slept on for a while but lampshades, coffee maker and microwave were all dusty. Beddings don't feel clean and fresh either. Lamps were tricky to work and weren't turning on initially. Toilet was clogged. To be fair, we were offered to have a maintenance person to look at the non-functional lights when we arrived at 9: 30pm. But because it was getting late and we just wanted to rest, we made do with the lamps that were working. In the morning as we were getting ready to head out, we didn't bother to ask maintenance to have a look at the plumbing because we just want to get going with our day. It's great that breakfast boxes are offered and coffee is available. But to be honest I have stayed at a 2-star hotel that served wayyy better breakfast and a much more decent coffee. I normally don't complain much and have stayed at various types of accomodations but this one was just downright disappointing and worth telling the public so people know what to expect.

Nice hotel, just the bar was open adults only. Between 4 to 10. Food was good in the bar. Really nice management

I would stay here again, a small thing i wish the TV guide was working. The hotel was clean staff very friendly and a really good location for me

Comfortable place to rest at. We only came for the one night and was presented with a very clean room. Having a smart TV with a built-in Chromecast was unexpected but a welcomed surprise. However the pool area wasn't great. Probably the worst part of the stay

I never rate perfect because nobody is perfect. But this Hotel has really made impression on us, room was excellent, service was even better, friendly staff (makes such a big difference) - front lady was exceptional (I never got her name!) Would like to stay there again. Price reasonable.

We had the worst experience ever at this hotel. If I could give 0 stars I would! The pool was disgusting, cold and had bugs floating around Inside! The manager was the most unpleasant unprofessional man I have ever dealt with! I will never stay there again. And I would never recommend it to anyone!

I would put 0 if there was an option. As a provider of services I don't think they will ever pay my Invoice. So basically I provided a service for which I will never be paid.

Nice hotel at a decent price. We had no real problems to speak of. The breakfast buffet isn't amazing, but not many are. Beds are comfortable enough, and that's the main thing.

They need to communicate, Staff wasn't able to organize a late check out. Flowers in the Lobby were from Christmas leftovers still there in April. More attention to detail is needed! Hotel rooms were lovely and clean. Some dusty fixtures but maybe they hadn't started spring cleaning yet. I'd stay again. Very friendly staff otherwise and nice smiles in the restaurant!

We were there for a conference. Lunch was good but the air conditioning was too cold for most of the day.

Great property to visit in Red Deer. Shezhad the front desk manager provided great local recommendations and an excellent check in experience. Spa had amazing treatments and value.
Pool area is well designed for the whole family to enjoy. Highly recommend this hotel

Server was great! Went to have the $9.99 steak sandwich, as seen in the website. Not on the menu but fish and chips was really good. The steak that was ordered was ok but under done.

Hotel is relatively nice however the staff seems very unmotivated and unprofessional. Several issues with the service, and the manager (chubby guy with glasses) is perhaps the biggest son of a B I've ever experienced. I'm shocked they hired a man like this.

The drinks were good, the food even better, and the service was pretty good too. The hotel itself comes across as place young people might rent to party in a room all night. The walls have many scuffs in them making the paint look uneven. Overall it looks like a cheap hotel trying to come across as high end hotel. But with its dated decor and messy walls it's quite easy to see through this facade.

Very nice place to stay, I was impressed with the hottub, although not very large it was very pleasant and relaxing after work. The front desk was friendly and answered my questions to my satisfaction. Will stay again in the future.

-6 stars! The rudest most disrespectful company I have ever dealt with. Was littealy declined my booking and stay due to I booked with a different card online and couldn’t use my CC for deposit! Go stay and the baymont better atmosphere service and prices.

Just used the facility as it is the red arrow bus depot. Could di with some reno though the taos, soap dispensers and paper towel holders are up to date

Visiting hair by Debbie right next to the spa on the lower level. Debbie is by far the best haidresser and I drive in from Calgary just so I can get my hair done

Our rom was upgraded so we had a microwave- which is was ok. The breakfast waspoor and the staff were not very helpful. It is like you are begging for plates, milk, juice. They need better breakfadt arrangement and staff customer service training

The room and room attendant were good despite there being no kettle on the room.
I would have given a 4 star rating however we found the "included breakfast" terrible. The staff firstly were terrible and rude. Accused us of having the toaster too high when we had just placed the toast into the toaster using the setting they had it on already. The guy came out in front of other guests and made a scene to us Claiming that we had put our toast through twice which we hadn't and that we were going to set the fire alarm off. Lovely way to treat paying guests at their hotel.
Aside from this the bread for toasting was borderline stale and the selection of eggs etc was dry and not enticing. The plates were not clean and you could see marks on them.
The hotel staff were all pleasant to deal with and this was why I gave 2 stars otherwise I would have given 1 star.
Save yourself the time and either skip the breakfast or stay elsewhere.

I've yet to stay the night at the Radisson but it's a good stop over/bus depot place for the E Bus and the Red Arrow.

It's a nice place to stay especially gym is good, but there was no kettle or Microwave at the room to make a tea. I called them to ask one but she was not helpful. She told me I should use coffee maker to make a tea! She even tried to lecture me on how to do it so:) sorry but brewing tea is different that tea and I don't like tea with coffee taste at all. I hadn't had much interaction with staff during one night stay but I couldn't find them as friendly and helpful as other hotels.

Been attending for a few months weekly meetings for work during breakfast. Food is ok, not amazing. Hotel unexpectedly raised prices of projector, mic and all AV equipment. Not happy about that.

Nice hotel, very good breakfast. The pool is nice, however it can be very noisy when there are lot of people

Food was edible but I'm comparing it to the Black Night Inn where the food is incredible, this venue was smaller however the deserts here were better then the BNI. Overall experience was good but nothing special, staff were great and attentive. Would not book this hotel as my first choice but if I was in a pinch I would book here. The bar tenders at the event had to handle money and poor drinks which slowed down service a bit!

No microwave in room, Breakfast is not good at all. Bread provided in breakfast is Dry, I find breakfast was not fresh at all.hotel should buy one toaster in breakfast room for bread, lights are very dim and not enough light in room, all other amenities requires extra payment.

Based on price, and service hotel should have only 2 star. I am really surprised that this hotel has 4 star overall.

I would suggest hotel to buy fresh bread and bagels in breakfast every day, buy microwave in each room, buy good toaster in breakfast area and lower down the price for hotel to get enough business.

Had our Christmas party there and was very delighted with the staffs attitude the whole evening. Food was delicious and plentiful each time I went to the buffet. Very clean building. Party was in one of the even rooms and they were equipped with everything we needed. Very good experiance.
