Stayed at the Radisson with my family for my child's hockey games. Needless to say we will never be staying at this hotel in the future. Booked a 3 bed suite and found hair at bottom of one of the mini fridges, 10+ long dark hairs pulled off of bedding, water bottle lid, sunflower seed and an old gift card left on the floor, dried white fluid drip marks on bathroom door, wad of toilet paper stuck to the bathroom ceiling, blood stains on a pillow case, 3 out of 4 face clothes were stained with what looked like makeup and the cherry on top was the large spot on a bath towel that looked like fresh fecal matter. Needless to say that the complimentary breakfast vouchers do not make up for the lack of cleanliness in the room.

We always enjoy our stay at the Raddison. We choose this hotel specifically for the pool and fitness centre, but all other aspects of service here are wonderful, and staff has always been so great!

Livestock trailer friendly with a water tap on the outside of the building to make sure our critters are settled in with water overnight. Location is also great, just off the highway.

If I could give a hotel 0 Stars I would. The staff is undertrained and have no clue what they are doing. They tell you that breakfast is free but then once your done breakfast you have to pay for it unless you buy a “deluxe package”. I asked when I got to breakfast if it was free, they told me it was so we sat down and ate. Then I got charged almost 70$ for it……. If I would have known it wasn’t free I would have went to McDonald’s across the street. DONT GO TO THIS HOTEL WHATEVER YOU DO OR ELSE YOU WILL REGRET IT. Better training is required in this facility

Been staying here every 3 months for the past 8 years for business. Has progressively gone down hill. Restaurant is now sub-par with long wait times and food that is expected from a 1 star Restaurant. Normally stay here to entertain clients but after last night's experience will be taking my business elsewhere from now in. Rooms smell like they've been smoked in and never anyone at the check-in desk to speak with. No complimentary breakfast yet and you are required to pay for the 2 water bottles supplied in your room. They are just that, water bottles, comp them.

This was my second stay, and as my first review indicated there was only one complaint and I’m happy to say they did not have swimming lessons in the pool this time. We had a great time enjoying the water slide, the atmosphere was completely different. Will happily return if this is the new standard

Website shows they offer breakfast as an amenity, they don't mention that it is for purchase.

Otherwise, hotel was clean and comfortable.

First off I wanna start by saying I give this hotel the one star because I don’t wanna give it zero the hotel itself is nice and beautiful. But the staff needs to be trained.
My husband and I came down with our kids for a baseball tournament that weekend and we were told we could upgrade our room for the group rate plus $15. The girl on the front desk had no idea how to do it and we ended up upgrading to a suite and paying full price.

I also ended up falling in the shower and I smashed my face on the sink, my husband ran downstairs to get a first aid kit an ice pack or some bags for ice, and the girl at the front desk said “No we don’t have any first aid kits we don’t have ice packs and we don’t have bags for ice” So I ended up using a petro Canada bag for my ice.
My kids were super excited for the pool the sign said it opened at 6 AM, so we compromised and I told the kids they could set the alarms for 630 and then go down and when they got down they were told the pool didn’t open until 8 o’clock and were sent back to their room. They said the guy yelled at them and they were too scared to go back down before 8 o’clock even though we knew the sign said it opened at 6am!
The restaurant had great food, the organizers of the baseball tournament gave us two vouchers for each of the four days we were down there so that we could enjoy breakfast. However having a quick breakfast before a baseball tournament was not in the cards because the service was super slow. It was close to an hour and a half for our food to be served and I had to ask twice for more coffee. So we never returned for the other three days and ended up eating McDonald’s for breakfast.

The only thing I enjoyed about this hotel was that the room was clean and the bed was comfy. The hotel front end staff are shy and quite. The one charged multiple credit cards wrong amounts. Went up to the to complain the next morning. After are card got flagged and the charges showed up.was given a 10 dollar McDonald's gift card. Front end staff needs to be trained better.

We had a little Staycation here. My kids loved the pool and slide. They even had two little lifejackets. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. 5 stars!

Had a great stay at the Radisson on our wedding night, as well the ladies used it the day prior to get ready. Friendly staff, the king executive suite was perfect for what we needed, no complaints.

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. Clean rooms, nice beds and friendly staff. Kids loved the pool. We felt at home, thanks to Judy at room service and Marlin at the front desk!

My stay was amazing we came up for a little staycation with my husband who works just outside of town. The room was beautiful and spacious (we got a 3 queen bed 2 room, room) it was very clean the staff where all very accommodating. The pool was clean and a perfect temperature as was the hot tub, and slide. But one of the largest reasons my stay was so amazing the overnight front desk (I wish I would of got her name) went out of her way to help me after finding out they didn’t have any infant Tylenol (teething baby was very angry) she called the shell station asked them and got them to have it ready for me and called my cell phone so she wouldn’t wake up my other two kids to let me know I was so grateful. I will be back again and it will be our only hotel when in the area. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

How could an hotel hesitate to reserve room from a direct customer and encouraged booking through 3rd party? It is either ignorance or otherwise. Customer service was poor from the start. Hotel was dirty, this is the most unkept of Radisson that I have stayed in. I was here with my family in a time when Covid 19 was at the peak in the city and as such was reluctant in moving rooms. The toilet was horrible. It has a stain at the bottom that looked like dung. My kids just could not get over it. I kept explaining that it was only a stain, made worse over time. For heaven sake change the entire thing. This is a poorly managed hotel with zero customer appreciation. They issue coupon for breakfast with dates. We presented them for breakfast not knowing that each had different dates and the next morning they were questioning us on why we were presenting an expired coupon. Goodness! You guys did not observe that we used a post dated coupon the previous day and casting blames on a guest? I will never be here and to future guests, watch it please.

I always thought the standard of Radisson was uniform worldwide until I came in contact with the Fort Mcmurray location. I met Sheril (I may have captured the spelling incorrectly) at the Front desk and she almost ruined my experience in Fort Mcmurray.

After a 5 hours travel from Edmonton, I was looking for an accommodation to rest for the night before embarking on my trip back home in Edmonton. I respect that business may have it's policy but I always thought the reason you'll have humans to receive guest, and not machines is that humans are capable of showing empathy. I NEVER received EMPATHY from Sheril and in her opinion, I could sleep in my car in the cold for all she cared because I did not meet the requirement (a physical credit card) to get a room at Radisson, even after booking online with my credit card details that I had on my phone. I work for an establishment and I always put myself in the shoes of client. I could have been stranded and it didn't mean anything to Sheril. She kept throwing the card of "It's company policy" without any effort toward problem solving. I would have felt a bit more dignified if She could have been more empathetic in handling the situation and she claimed to be the Manager for the night with the final say. I can't imagine the volume of business your company would have lost prior to my experience and even after, being that businesses globally are struggling in the middle of a pandemic. Sheril may underestimate the power of "1" but if this reviews mean anything to the company, I would suggested she is mentored and educated properly that one bad experience may lead to a negative spread of that experience. I have family, friends and acquaintances and they have not heard the last of my experience since I came back.

I was rescued by your competitor Microtel by Wyndham with an exceptional show of empathy and concern. I finally got a physical credit card to meet the requirement to get a room but not with Radisson. This could have easily been handled if Sheril was more tact and not myopic in the dispensation of her duties.

I usually don't put out reviews out there but I feel your organization needs to appreciate what your potential clients go through the hands of some of your employees. I really may not blame Sheril so much as she may be lacking in adequate trainings to handle a range of scenarios relating to mine, hence the response received. Afterall, she cannot give what she does not have, right?

I hope this is fixed for the sake of the investors and owners of the business and well meaning employees that depend on income from your establishment.

Not here to give a poor review but simply let you know I don't think they're open. The lot is often empty and I tried 3 times to get in touch with someone with no answer. I tried different extensionsand no answer. I found a different hotel.

Stayed here for the last 3 days. I found the service exceptional as they were prompt and went the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable and satisfied with my stay. The hotel is following COVID protocols explaining what they are while providing masks and sanitizer.

The room was exceptionally clean and quite frankly I must say even cleaner than higher end hotels I have stayed at in metropolitan cities. This alone deserves 5 stars. Room service is available upon request and hotel amenities are available. The gym can be used on a reservation basis which is really nice.

The hotel gym is well maintained and has the necessary equipment for a good workout. A pool is available as well. Coffee, water and some toiletries are also available free of charge.

The hotel also has a restaurant which serves breakfast and other meals. If you find yourself in Fort McMurray for any reason the Radisson is a go to for your accommodation needs.

There was some misunderstandings based on a language barrier. But after proper communication, it was fine. The door key reader on the alternate entry is problematic and should work the first time and every time.

They had to do some work on the hand sanitizer dispenser outside my room and respectfully did it in the afternoon and not in the morning or evening.

Have stayed there lots over the years, but at my last visit, there was blood on the bathroom floor. I complained, it was cleaned up (mostly), but the manager never called or returned my request for a call. I will NOT be staying there again.

Would rate this zero stars if it was possible. Very displeased with this hotel! My family and I drove up to Fort McMurray from Edmonton with intentions of staying at this hotel. My husband had previously booked a room online using his debit visa with no issues at all. Upon arriving we were told that we couldn't use our debit Visa and that they would only accept a credit card for the deposit of the room. We asked to speak to a manager and still was told that we couldn't use a debit Visa. We asked if we could pay the deposit out front and for the room and then we could get reimbursed for the deposit after the stay. We have done this many times at other Raddison Hotels in other cities. And still we were told that we couldn't do it. We were left with trying to figure out where we were going to stay on such short notice with our 3 children, because we thought we had a place to stay for the night. We left very upset! We ended up finding a hotel after quite a while driving around the city. And that hotel did accommodate us and we did exactly what we have always done and paid for the room and the deposit out front. Not every person has a credit card and they should accommodate those people. Very unhappy! But thankful that we found a different hotel to stay at.

Visited this hotel over the Thanksgiving long weekend, our stay was ok but not worth the price.

Major construction in the area and no visible signage to direct to hotel. Would have been easier if we booked at BCMI as they had multiple signs posted throughout roadways. Not recommended to visit here until construction is over. There are large dirt mounds to cross over in back alleys to reach hotel in a very indirect way. Stressful detour to take in a little car with low bumper.

Inconvenience aside,
staff were immediately available and friendly when needed. Server in restaurant for breakfast was awesome.

Room was large and comfortable. Definitely was some lack of attention on some cleaning details, our phone was greasy from last guest. Made me uncomfortable thinking what else was missed.

The pool / hot tub was the deciding factor on why we booked here. Nice that it was salt water, pool toys were in good condition and the water slide was great. Again lack of cleaning evident. Sitting in the hot tub was uncomfortable due to smell of bacteria from floor from dead bugs and hair.

Not the quality expected from the Radisson

The staff failed to mention if there was anything wrong with the room they put my family in (Afterwords found out there was two people murdered) In the room they put us in which lead to problems later on (Paranormal/Demonic) Finding out this has happened to previous people before not
Just us an they refused to give a refund after checking out the same day.

Beautiful hotel. Very clean and the staff are very accommodating. The pool has a water slide and a hot tub which is great at the end of the day. The location of the hotel is in an industrial area close to downtown right off of highway 63. There is also a MacDonalds across the street. I would be happy to go back to this hotel again.

This was my second stay at the Radisson, and as with my first, I was underwhelmed. When I wanted to use debit rather than credit on check in, the clerk was adamant that it wasn't possible (spoiler alert: it was possible). I was then told that my room would have to be inspected prior to my deposit being refunded, as if not using a credit card means I'd trash the room. The elevator (only one appears to be working, for all four floors) is in desperate need of an update. The room itself was comfortable and clean.

It is a very nice and friendly place. Nice excersise and pool. And a very good resturant attached. Bruschetta was the best I ever tasted and steak bites where damn good too.

I was going to rate this hotel higher but was just pretty horrified by the service at Prime kitchen.
The hotel is near empty, and there are three people in the dining area (including me). A waiter sat me at a table by a window like i wanted. I unpacked my computer, got settled, started working. A second waitress walked in and yelled at me from across the dining area "excuse me, you can't sit there! " I started laughing, thinking she was making a weird joke. "You can't sit there! That half of the dining room is closed until lunch! " She proceeded to insist that I move to a table literally 10 feet away from me on the "other side" of the dining area. I had to pack up all of my things, move to that table, and then start working again.
There's no manager on duty; I asked and he won't arrive until "lunch. " This is utterly ridiculous and I highly recommend you stay at one of the nicer, more accommodating hotels in Fort Mac.
We ate dinner here last night, as well, and my pasta was cold. I was going to write that off but after this experience this morning, I wont' be staying here again.

This is the worst hotel. Worst customer services. They stole my $250 dollar deposit and they kicked me out at 2 o’clock in the morning because I asked if I could have a dog and when they said no I brought the dog to my uncles house you can even ask my uncle the dog stayed at his house the whole time why stayed at the hotel. When I left I asked the girl to check my room and she didn’t and then after I left at 2 o’clock in the morning at 4 o’clock the next day they decided they’re going to charge you turn in $250.00. I’ve never gotten treated so bad at a hotel before I don’t understand why they’re treating me like this.

I retract the previous statement. Confused this hotel with another. Too many days on the road. This Radisson is between downtown Ft Mac and tge airport. Convenient for business south of the city.

This would be a higher score but there is something I can't understand. This hotel (currently) provides breakfast every morning. It is not a bad breakfast but has several carb-based staples such as bread for toast, oatmeal, croissants and muffins. BUT. NO butter. How do you eat toast without butter?

I asked the lady supplying the breakfast on Tuesday if they had any butter. She stated they did not, that they'd run out on Monday and wouldn't have any more. As I've stayed until Friday morning, she was right. There was never any butter.

This is a silly thing that should be offset by the fact they have free water, glass drinking glasses and lovely glass mugs for tea. But. I love toast. With butter.

Upon our arrival, check in was good, friendly staff. Prompt customer service. Our room was on the main floor, we opened the door at it smelt like cigarette. So we ask to be moved got another room that has less features than our first room. Not a deal breaker for us. Pros: comfortable mattress, has a nice warm salt water swimming pool. Breakfast service was okay. Flexible late check out.cons: uncomfortable pillow, restaurant still under construction as of time of this review. Some finishes such as the tile was cracked on the floor and partially falling off on the base boards. I would recommend as a okay place to stay.

Vanity Mirror was broken when we arrived. We immediately notified the front desk staff! They apparently did not do what they were supposed to. WRITE IT DOWN! So because one staff member made a mistake, I was charged $65! Also.the rooms are not well placed and the kitchen rooms don’t have a garbage can in the Kitchen. So there is no where to put garbage when you’re making food. Key cards automatically lock you out, even if you have been approved for a late check out. So then you are locked out of your room while trying to load your vehicle.
My family and I even donated life jackets to the hotel ($60) because they didn’t have any. And this is how we are treated.
