When I first booked a quote with RadonCare, going into it truthfully I booked it to have a 3rd quote on top of the other two that I expected to be the front runners. I’m glad I did, because out of the 3 places I got quotes I was most impressed with RadonCare. They were by far the most professional. I requested 3 quotes all at about the same time, and they were the first to reach out - which was almost immediately after submitting the request on the website. They showed up when they said they were going to for the quote, and Andrew spent a significant amount of time going through the whole process and answering any questions I had. When I ended up getting the quote, they were open and upfront with the pricing. After receiving the three quotes, I ended up having some questions based on the different information I was given and the slight differences, and Andrew again showed his knowledge on the subject putting my mind at ease. They did an excellent job, again showing up on time, and left the place so clean you wouldn’t know they were there. I had a preference on where I wanted it installed, and while tight they made it happen. When it was all said and done, it ended up even being a little cheaper because one of my two furnaces didn’t end up needing to be filled with concrete. It’s rare that when you’re quoted a price the final amount comes out less, and while Andrew said it was extremely rare, they reduced the price because they didn’t need to complete any work on that one. I’m confident that wouldn’t have been the case with the other two I quoted with. Very happy with the entire process, and would recommend them to friends and family.

Outstanding service! From start to finish, I felt well taken care of. The quote was on point with no surprises once the service was complete. Both Andrew and Nick are very knowledgeable and were able to answer all of our questions without hesitation. Nick was the one who did the installation. He was also mindful of the noise (we have a small baby), cleaned, filled and sealed all the little cracks and crevices, and left the space clean. Our radon levels before the mitigation hovered around 290-300 bq/m3 and went down to below 10bq/m3 after. It's now been a month since the service was complete and the average readings continue to be below 10bq/m3. I would highly recommend RadonCare!

Our experience with RadonCare was outstanding. Andrew was highly knowledgeable on the technical aspects of radon remediation and was excellent at providing answers about the system and its installation - I learned a lot! The installation was done with high quality and professionalism. Prior to the mitigation work, our radon levels were in the 400-500 Bq/m^3 range - after RadonCare's work they hover around 10 Bq/m^3.

Their pricing isn't competitive. When I discovered that my house had a radon problem, I contacted three companies for quotes. Radon Care was over double the price of the other two quotes.

I highly recommend getting a second opinion if you're looking for a radon mitigation contractor.

When I told them that their pricing seemed very, very high for two days of work and $500 of materials, they responded that I could finance it with them. I had the incredible opportunity to, on top of the unreasonably inflated pricing, also pay interest!

To me this company is especially morally dubious because radon exposure results in an incredibly painful and drawn out death. It feels like they are taking advantage of people who don't want to die of lung cancer.

Incredibly polite, professional and courteous all through the process from initial quote to follow-up. The tech who was in our home doing the work (Nick) was unbelievably courteous. He provided live updates as to what he was doing and why he was doing it. We had baby at home that day and he went out of his way to avoid doing the noisy work during naps. Top notch service and our Radon counts have come way down.

Sooo happy that he found and filled cracks and under tub ground hole we didnt know existed. We are so pleased at how good the unit looks inside and the small plate outside is great. I had over 350 bq/m3 Radon number which is higher than the action level in Canada (200 bq/m3) in my basement and decided to have the Radon Mitigation. Andrew was here and I was so impressed about his work. He was extremely knowledgeable, smart and knew the best way to mitigate the radon in given environment. He was so professional and even very clean after his job is completed. Nothing to complain. Actually, I haven't tried other compnanies so I cannot compare. But, I definately recommend this guy if anyone is suffering from the high Radon number. It's worth the money. My device shows less than 30 bq/m3 now.

Very happy with the professionalism of Andrew and his team. He thoroughly answered all of my questions. Installation was as expected to what he described it would be during the quote. Our home had a furnace install with an open gap underneath it (common as they hang furnaces in newer built homes). During the installation of the radon mitigation system, they removed part of the furnace and pushed concrete underneath it. A few months later I had to have my furnace replaced. I was happy to see that their mitigation work of sealing the furnace was successful (see pic).

Overall I have no complaints about Andrew and his team's work. He was helpful in answering additional questions post install of the mitigation system. I would recommend RadonCare to others.

Andrew was an early Christmas gift for us this year. He saw my son and I standing in the cold, outside of Best Buy with worried looks as we had just purchased a new TV that was too big to take home in our car. Andrew was on his way to see a client, and offered to put the TV i his pick up and take it to our house. When we arrived, he even helped carry it in. Try as I might, Andrew refused every offer I made to try to repay him for his kindness. This review is all I can do to attempt to repay him for his exceptional Christmas spirit.

We did our own radon exposure assessment through a U of Calgary project about 2 years ago. We were on the upper limit of what Health Canada considers safe exposure so did another measurement last winter which showed similar but slightly higher results. We talked to 3 radon mitigation companies. All struck us as professional but for a variety of reasons we selected Radoncare to do the project. We have no regrets with our decision. Andrew is passionate about the subject and went to great lengths to explain how mitigation works, what the steps were in the project and the post project measurement. We did need to call Andrew back a few days after installation to make an adjustment to the vent pipe and he was very quick to address our concerns. Andrew and Nick were efficient and organized and left our mechanical room in great shape. Initial results (after about 10 days) show a significant reduction in radon exposure and well below the 75 bq/m3 that Radoncare commits to. Obviously we will have to wait for the long term data next Spring to confirm the mitigation measures are working as they should but at this point I would recommend Radoncare for radon mitigation work without hesitation. Kristin at the office as also highly responsive and appears to keep everyone on track. Thank you all.

Andrew and team were very professional and did a fantastic job with the mitigation system at my house. They were thorough in both the quoting phase (Andrew came to quote himself) and during the install they were detailed but efficient. Very respectful and adhered to mask rules. My radon is now averaging around 20 bq/m3! Already referred them to two other people for mitigation system installs.

As always, go for a few quotes and get a sense of who knows what they're doing / do a price check. For me, Radon Care came out on top and I am glad I went with them. There are a few reputable outfits doing radon systems and it's worth doing it properly. Yes the system isn't that complicated and arguably DIY-able if you are relatively handy (coring into your foundation required type handy) however if there were ANY issues during the install or if you can't get the right response/depressurization under your slab, that's when the professional help and performance guarantee becomes useful. You'll never know what you run into.

We have contacted 6 companies to get a quote for the radon mitigation system. The best offer, price, warranty and a very detailed contract (sent ahead of time) was from Radon Care.
Andrew gave us a lots of great info to help understand the installation process and took time to explain how the system works. This team was very respectful and friendly while working in the house.
On the date of installation, Andrew and Nick (Radon Care installer) showed up exactly on time, laid down floor protection, kept the installation clean and tidy from beginning to end. They were explaining the process along with answering any questions we had. Showed us all the measurements they were taking and explained what they mean along with how they should change after the run.

The guys took their time and didn’t rush the job.
The install was done very well, very professional. They cleaned up all of their debris completely and even swept up all our dust in the entire basement. These guys were one of the best to work with and the quality of their work is exceptional.

We contacted RadonCare because of air quality concerns in our house. Andrew was very prompt about coming out and assessing the situation. After he determining there were no radon concerns, Andrew provided a portable HEPA filter unit at no charge to see if that would clear up the air problems in the house. Andrew put in a lot of extra effort in trying to resolve our issue, and we would highly recommend his services.

I really really really wish that all contractors would be like RadonCare: the kept us well informed prior the work, they arrived on time, the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and super courteous. Extremely knowledgeable about their product and the process. Gave me detailed instructions on how to use the test kit and what to expect. Excellent communication and quick to answer any questions I had.

Staff was very professional, explained whenever I had doubt or questions. Basement was properly cleaned when they finished and left. I can barely hear the fan going on the first floor. I can only hear the fan when I'm in basement close to it, and I can hear the air flowing when I'm outside close to the vent, which isn't loud at all. I got a airthings wave to monitor the radon level real time. The level didn't drop in the first day which had me worried; however it started dropping and it's been at average 20bq/m3 ever since.

The techs at RadonCare addressed all my concerns and were professional, knowledgable and tidy. Glad we won't have to worry about radon in our home anymore.

I recently performed a radon test of my home and found it to be within appropriate range of mitigation. In researching a mitigation system and installer, I selected RadonCare because of their knowledge and their participation in the testing program that I had used. I can't say enough good things about RadonCare and the process. They took the time to explain the risk with radon, and how a mitigation system worked. They made sure I understood everything, and were very quick to turnaround an estimate/quote. Scheduling and installation was a breeze, they were done installation in less than a day. They do a very professional and clean install. I've since completed the first post-mitigation test and my radon levels are down massively. They're down past the Health Canada recommended levels, and are right where RadonCare said they could get most customers' homes to. I'm very pleased with my system, and the results. I would happily recommend RadonCare to anyone who needs this work done, they're fantastic.

Andrew was very personable and knowledgable when he did our in home quote. (which was free!) The staff who came to install the mitigation system were also professional and polite which is very important for someone working in your house! We're pleased with the look of the system and according to the short term test it worked well! (The long term test was also included but isn't finished yet) I feel like we we received good value for what we paid, especially including the warranty. I'm really not good at writing reviews but I definitely recommend Radon Care for anyone who wants to get a mitigation done or even just wants information on radon levels and how it affects their health.

I purchased a radon detector and contacted them a few times with questions about the radon issue. Although I didn’t have a level above the government regulated safety level, and so didn’t pursue re-mediation, they were still always willing to take time to answer my questions. Andrew is very helpful and there was no pressure to use their services. I would highly recommend them.

Before we had Radoncare mitigate our problem we didn't know much about Radon other than it was bad for us. Andrew and Nick were wonderful to work with. Both were patient with my endless questions. Very professional and quick to respond whenever we called with even more questions. Our initial one month readings were over 330. Within a week of the mitigation work, we have dropped down to around 30! We can breathe much easier now knowing this! The follow up service has also been excellent. Both Andrew and Nick are a wealth of knowledge and we highly recommend them to come in and make your house safe!

I had a great experience with the folks installing mitigation system in my basement. I think the best feeling you can get in working with a service provider is that you feel they are not after your money but truly want to solve your problem with the best quality of work and professionalism and that is exactly what I got. A high quality work was conducted to begin with and after that they made few visits and adjustment without me even asking to make sure that not only the radon levels are as low as possible but also I have the most suitable fan installed. Every word and promise that he made in his first visit was true and definitely beyond my expectations.

My wife and I are extremely happy with the work performed by Andrew and Nick, especially HOW it was done during this pandemic.

I called RadonCare when I got a high result from my home test kit. I was very worried about the results and didnt know exactly what to do. The techs were very professional and helped reassure me, they provided me with valuable information. I highly recommend RadonCare.

We had participated in the U of C Radon study last winter. Our initial results were above the Health Canada limits. About (about 360 - 400 bq/m3) in basement using the Alpha Track detector. Before we decided to have the mitigation done had done quite a bit of research on the subject. Then purchased a digital radon detector online for about $225. Ran it for about a month and confirmed the readings on main floor as well. After mitigation now after 3 weeks reading is about 35 bq/m3 in the basement. At Andrew's recommendation we have another Alpha track tester that I will deploy in early December for confirmation. All in all very satisfied with the work that was performed and Radon levels well with acceptable norms.

I called and spoke to seven radon mitigation companies here in Calgary and requested quotes from several of them.

Andrew was engaging throughout the entire process, from our first phone call, face to face evaluation/quote and diagnosis/installation of radon mitigation equipment. He provided text message and picture updates throughout the entire day of work.

Most importantly, we're seeing our numbers drop from 150-220 Bq/m3 to ~10 Bq/m3.
