I heard about Colin from a friend and engaged him for radon mitigation at my home. Colin came prepared for the site survey and answered all my questions. He worked with me and considered all my suggestions including where to locate the mitigation system.

We called on Colin after looking for referrals for radon mitigation and he came highly recommended and after looking at his reviews, it only reinforced that recommendation. We initially had a different company, a basement company, come into assess a crack in our basement floor and they did a radon test which showed quite high levels in the 15 minutes he was in the home on his tester he brought and recommended mitigation. We called Colin for a second opinion and are very glad that we did. His assessment of our basement was so much more thorough and addressed more areas than the previous contractor. He was punctual, professional and honest and recommended we do a longer test than the 15 minutes the previous contractor did. We rented a kit from our local library and had it for approx 3 weeks and then went ahead with mitigation with Colin. Once in the home he realized there was a small part of the work under the furnace that did not need to be done and took money off our total to account for that. Our levels prior to mitigation were approx 280 and afterwards down to averaging 18. He was efficient, clean, always protecting carpets and professional. Colin left us with a long term tester to test long term levels and looking forward to seeing results of those. I highly recommend Colin for your radon issues.

Its not an accident that this service is so highly rated. Whole process for me was top-notch. Starting by quote, at which time Colin tried to identify risks and listed them on quote as a potential work (I didn't have to pay for it at the end as it wasn't necessary). Once I was quoted, scope of work was pretty clear, we agreed on exact position of system, entry point, surface point on facade and fan size. On installation date, Colin was here not a minute late. Everything was covered to prevent dust from spreading and work was done within few hours. No unforseen 'problems', no extra charges, just neatly done job. My radon level dropped from 300-400 down to ~ 10. If you have problems with radon in your basement, look no further!

I had radon just below 400 bq/m3 in basement for most of the year, after sealing random cracks and access panels in the slab I got it down to 300, still too high and spreading upstairs (reaching 100-200 sometimes). After extensive research (lots of youtube videos:), I got a decent idea of what's involved but decided to avoid trying mitigation myself and contacted Colin from RADONreduction. The job was done in a day, very clean and effective. The cats were mildly terrified though.

After a few days my readings by Air Things detector dropped from 300 to 14 bq/m3 and is staying there, this might be close to background levels outside. The air in the basement feels better too, either placebo effect, or there was a lot of air exchange with cavity under the slab. Overall an awesome result!

RadonReduction did a very professional job at remediating radon within my home. I had independently measured high radon levels in my home and shopped around to find a contractor who could do the necessary remediation properly. I was looking for an accredited remediation company with fully insured workers and a good track record. After calling RadonReduction, I received a friendly house call from the owner, Colin. He was very clear in explaining the remediation process, including all the quality control checks needed to do the job properly. I appreciated that Colin was prompt, professional and no-pressure in his first visit to provide a detailed quote. Colin answered all my email questions promptly, including proof of liability insurance and paid-up WCB for himself and all other workers on site.

After approving the written quote, the work was scheduled for a few days later, and the work was completed fully in a day, as promised. The work was done exactly as it had been explained, and Colin took the time to show me the exact quality-control readings so that I felt comfortable that the system was operating well. He was respectful of my home, making sure to protect the floors and HVAC system.

Prior to the work being done, I purchased an electronic radon sensor, and had it running a few weeks before the remediation. Now that the remediation has been completed for over a month, I have the data to show that radon levels have dropped to a safe level starting the day after the system installation. It's really quite a nice case study of radon remediation done right. I would highly recommend this company. I have no affiliation to RadonReduction or Colin other than being a very satisfied paying client.

Colin installed Radon reduction system at my house, the work was spot on and very thorough. He is very forth coming in his estimates and takes pride in his work. Being a owner and operator of his own business he really takes the time to do an amazing job as well make sure I was satisfied.

Colin was great, very professional and above all honest, quality work. He actually tried to talk me out of hiring him because he thought my count wasn't that high. He advised me to keep monitoring and only after I was concerned enough and had some higher readings did he come and give me a quote. He did great work and my numbers have dropped to 10 or below from 80 to 120. I would really recommend Radon Reduction.

Colin performed radon mitigation 2021/09. He was responsive, professional, reasonably priced, and informative. He rapidly scheduled a Radon appointment on a time that fit our schedule. All of our questions were answered during the basement walkthrough. He formulated a quote, and provided dates for performing the work via email. The work took one day, he was efficient and showed us all of the modifications. He even consulted us on incidental findings for our housing maintenance that he found along the way. He followed up with radon measurements to quantify the mitigation results in the following weeks, using his own sensors he loaned to us.

The mitigation was a success, we are very happy with his work. I've already recommended him to a neighbour and colleague interested in mitigation for their own homes.

Our radon levels were high for many months (> 800 bq m3) and with winter coming we decided to seek quotes. We do the usual, get three. All prices were comparable but Colin's approach was the best of all three.

He takes the time to explain all aspects of his work, what he is looking for, remediation strategies and is open to answering all questions. Above all else he came across as honest and sincere. I've been around long enough to know when some isn't being forthright.

In addition to the above he got the radon levels far below WHO recommendation of 100 bq m3. We are currently at 16 bq m3 as average.

Being a natural skeptic we bought our own Radon monitor (NOT from Colin). Our measurements we independent, also silenced my own skepticism. We also seem to be sleeping better as a result.
